  1. I think I'm most interested in knowing what Davenport was trying to do. He claimed to be uninterested in either rescuing his brother or opening the door for Kalego. If that's true, why go to the trouble of setting up a remote compound riddled with surveillance devices and a secret underground replica of the ritual basements from the Voss Mansion and Visser apartments? Why install the Kalego idol there? Why collect blood samples, apparently from numerous Baldang witches? Whatever his goal, he was clearly willing to sacrifice people like Dan and his predecessor to achieve it.
  2. I'm another of those people whose clinical depression arises from brain chemistry rather than psychological trauma. Talk therapy has its place, and it's useful to me for employing coping skills and monitoring my mental health, but it's not going to address the root problem the way medication does.
  3. If not, I'm sure Limu Emu can pitch in and help fertilize a new planting of flowers.
  4. Was there anything stopping Hazel from winning the contest and then giving the poor bereaved competitor the trip?
  5. Who knows what the Sire will think about it? He's not exactly the poster boy for vampiric normalcy. And Baron Afarnas seems pretty genial about Guillermo dropping by, he's mellowed a lot since the first season. Yeah, this is the first time ever that a Kristen Schaal character hasn't made me actively want her off my screen immediately, but I don't think she's actually added much to the show this season.
  6. Do that many people still stuff paper bills in their mattresses?
  7. Warner Brothers must think if they make more than a couple of DC Comics movies that aren't Batman-centric in a row, the whole planet will explode.
  8. It's more effort for the staff, but I'd imagine considerably less chance of serving a customer meat that's gone bad.
  9. What could possibly hurt his chances with movie casting agents more than the movies he's already starred in? Kazaam, anyone?
  10. I once came out to the parking lot in the morning to discover that my windshield was shattered as if someone had dropped a bowling ball on it. No sign of the cause, although the adjoining building was undergoing renovations so I assume a contractor dropped something heavy from a scaffold and gathered it up before fleeing the scene.
  11. Okay, I like the Steve and Peggy love story and this is still making me side-eye the producers of the show.
  12. In my revenge fantasy, the production assistant hated the premise of the commercial as much as I did and took special care to buy the giant-sized bulk bags of sugarless gummies. Hey now, it could be that doctor from the Lumē commercials instead of a man!
  13. I console myself with the thought that all those (over)actors better not have made any plans for later that day with all the Haribo candies they had to eat filming that commercial.
  14. I was kind of shocked to see a Men's Rights movement of the late 70s championed by shock jockeys mirroring ones that exist today, but apparently there were such groups in reaction to the push for the ERA.
  15. In the house I lived in as a teenager the master bath was carpeted. That was Not Good. The closest I'll come to having that is memory foam bath mats over tile.
  16. Oh, I hope this means we get to check in on Scott and the talking Quiznos toaster oven as an old married couple!
  17. Why is that segment of the fandom watching a movie starring a nonbinary actor who uses they/them pronouns in the first place? Did the spree of assaults and the poor gun control in a rural compound suddenly make Miller okay in their books?
  18. Yikes! That's scary. Thankfully my own allergic reaction to a medication was much milder, hives on the sixth day of a ten-day routine of Augmentin (Amoxycillin). I recently found out that's the preferred treatment for infected cat bites though, so thanks to the reaction the more nervous of my cats had to moving I ended up on routines of two different less common antibiotics instead.
  19. I had the same reaction as the Pride crowd to the Colin-Robinson's-face-on-the-back-of-Nadja's-head reveal—that was maybe the creepiest thing I've seen on a television show since Twin Peaks was airing!
  20. Dalton is who I see as the end result he's working toward. Which is, y'know, a fine way to look, but maybe try to wait until you're Dalton's age to get there.
  21. I there really any mystery about this? I think he's still hung up on Nandor, despite all the reasons he shouldn't be.
  22. Perhaps because that would cost money, and they have none left after the media blitz attempting to convince us that The Flash was the best superhero movie ever made?
  23. I don't know, but they do deep fry it in America, and it's delicious!
  24. Luke Macfarlane confirms that he's signed on to do another Christmas movie with the Hallmark Channel: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/luke-macfarlane-platonic-bros-barbie-interview-1235526625/
