  1. Just in case this is not a rhetorical question, because the lie is the plot device. No lie, no story to move forward. Also, showing again how the cover up is worse in the long run.
  2. God, Chloe is a bore, and German is awful, please send her back to Chicago Fire, where I never have to see her again.
  3. Watched this on Netflix, and agree the actors playing Biggie and Tupac were spot on, but Puffy looked like a Wayans brother. Totally forgot about Pac dating Kidada. The lead detective (Jimmie Simpson) was a sad character. I felt bad for him at the end, he seemed broken and desperate. The gang involvement seems the most likely answer for both murders, sad.
  4. Agreed, wanted to like it, but this last episode was like every terrible crime procedural cliche combined. I hate Tunney's line delivery, and this is seeming more and more like Marcia Clark revenge porn.
  5. I've downloaded it, and I'm going to read it after I'm done with the book I'm currently reading. As you probably know, it's a 3-book series and from what I've heard, the 1st book (The Passage) is very good, and then it loses it. I'll have to find out for myself. Agreed, really enjoyed the first one, book 2 was a slog, didn't bother with 3.
  6. Saw this last night, and it was awesome. My husband even liked it, and he hates movies like this. Also love that Charlie (the dog), is Cooper's dog in real life ;)
  7. He's stupid enough to think that a guy who didn't know that minors can't legally enter into contracts is smart. Teen Bruce is the stupid kid who opens the door in 80s slasher movies Also, stupid enough not to notice much of his naivete comes from his wealthy, sheltered upbringing, and lack of real exposure to the world like, say his streetwise female friend, Selena.
  8. I see what you're saying. I wish I'd seen it this way, but to me it seemed mundane and sad. The only funny part to me was the interactions with the Asian salesman.
  9. I got a weird spiritual or supernatural vibe from the omnipresence of the dog. Why is he always around? Definitely a lot going on, but I'll watch, hell watched all of SOA, why not. I don't like the actress who plays EZs ex and cartel dude's wife. I don't know, it seems odd that a cartel honcho would marry a gringa. I don't buy that she's really down, but we'll see.
  10. Anyone see this movie? Thought this was a comedy, not, huge disappointment.
  11. I don't know, how hot is the Memphis housing market, especially for luxury properties.
  12. Stern killed me with his I already have one black, don'y need another to that idiot councilman.
  13. It just started in the US, think we're up to episode 2. I watched the first episode, and glad to see this show is back. It's visceral and scary in a way very few shows are. Still not sure about what happens when those demons take Kyle's "grace" a la Supernatural. Interesting that some of them can be too far gone to be saved. Interested to see more of the daughter's abilities.
  14. Dre is so dumb, he should have been learning Spanish since day one. How are you going to get in this game, and not know what people are saying about you, to others around you, to each other? Got to give it to Ghost on that one.
  15. I thought it said "sacred" on the car door.
  16. Agreed on Dre being in the closet, that whole scene was weird. I don't know many straight guys that would turn down any ass, let alone a hottie, and act like like sex is a chore.
  17. Oh my god, what did Candace do to her face. Just saw a Deadly Women promo and she is looking like Joan Rivers, not good, yikes!
  18. This asshole makes me so angry. I want to punch him in his smug smarmy face. I have no doubt that he killed Kathleen, and agree with others who doubt that she would've have been okay with Michael sleeping with other men given her feelings about marriage fidelity. Not sure about the German woman, but I also don't believe in such coincidences. Like a law enforcement officer said in another show regarding the likelihood of a husband having two murdered wives die in a similar manner (I know German woman wasn't his wife, bear with me) is about as likely as being hit by lightning twice (paraphrased). So eff Michael Peterson, he deserves a miserable life.
  19. I am with you, gave up last week, only coming here to find out how it all ends.
  20. I agree with the OP, the depiction of Jack looking longingly at Jamie was repulsive. Rape is never an act of love, I don't care about the rapist's "feelings," Jack used force to take power over and from Jamie, that is not love.
  21. Yeah, thank you technology, I had to FF that scene, uggghhhh, indeed. Agreed that this ep was a total waste of time, again thank you FF.
  22. I don't get it is it nepotism from somewhere? He's just so bland, and forgettable. Taylor at least brings the pretty, DeHaan, looks like a creep.
  23. I hear you, but rationalizing hate is impossible.
  24. Fred Williamson was also in a bunch of so-called Blaxploitation films like his contemporaries who played Shaft and Superfly.
  25. Yeah, I started watching this, and could not finish it, awful. Also, who really goes to the movies that often anymore. There are so many ways to watch a movie, I'm not interested in going to the theater. Did anyone see the horror that was The Dark Tower, that convoluted mess? Ha ha,, loser indeed, he may be a nice guy, but he just screams character actor, and his face creeps me out.
