Finally watched the finale, and loved it. especially the focus on the priests. As others already stated, psyched Fr. Bennett is alive, and am curious to follow Maria and the friars' story. I'm fine with leaving the Rance family alone. I don't see them being necessary in a second season. If there is a god, I hope we get season 2.

I like Mercy more this season, too. Her character has more depth, and is not just portrayed as evil. Bummed about Billy, and Tituba's triple cross threw me. Hope that blood oath means something. Agree with others shipping Sebastian and Mary, glad to see a more nuanced character.

Eric's look of constant exasperation at each revelation, and saying stop lying were amusing, but did we need a two hour finale? Thought this was okay, plodding mostly, until the very end. I also hate the idea of Cornell confidential, and having to go online to find out info. Cornell's druggie daughter, gunshots, what's next?

His raspy voice sounds like an old smoker (no offense, smoker here), but he cannot hit the high notes with that voice, and the strain is painful to hear.

MM wasn't even trying to sound like was from the period, ruining his scenes for me.

I thought this seemed modern too, anyone have any historical insight to share? At first, I thought this ep was slow and plodding, but began to appreciate the slow boil of character development, especially of the brothers. The look on Ragnar's face when the noose broke was priceless, the look of, damn, now this?

The brown mouse, Anne's familiar, is inside of Cotton to keep him where Anne wants him. Finally caught up on the first three eps, and this show is killing it. I like Mercy and Isaac's new roles. Mercy is more nuanced as the madam, loved how she got to Hathorne. I am really enjoying the feminism of these women in such an oppressive patriarchal society. I'd be a witch, too, if forced to live under such conditions. Tituba restoring her eyesight, and using the cat to spy on baby Lucifer's house was cool. Did that box on Mary's head remind anyone else of Hellraiser? Which fallen angel is baby Lucifer's new right hand, and interesting that he would tell Sebastian to hide his emotions, hmmmm... How will Mary get herself out of this mess? Did Anne pick up her familiar (thought Cotton killed him) in the woods or Mary's? So many questions... Love this show.

Do they really need a 2 hour finale to wrap this nonsense up, smh.

Seriously, so obvious, I hope she didn't diss him because he's Asian. She needs to explore some nice guys. Me, to, Victoria Park Dr. off Pico in the house, love that Issa didn't entertain the Baldwin Hills question, exactly what I would do. Calling anything the "black version" of something is so ignorant. This, I am so sick of people thinking you owe them an explanation or closure, uh, no I don't. Take the hint, not returning calls or texts means I don't want to talk to you it's over, move on, bye.

Agreed, something seemed off about the actual performance.

The Rosanna choice was dreadful, Africa would have been so much better, and totally agree on Darby. She is working my last nerve. Aaron's cover of Hurt (love NIN and the JC version) was terrible, it emoted nothing. He is so bland, and just does not have range, done with him. Billy doesn't do it for me either, I don't feel anything when he performs. It's soulless. Thought Brendan and We were the best tonight.

I love this show. The acting is amazing. Favorite lines (paraphrase) tonight when discussing that Casey's situation is god's design: Mother Bernadette says to Father Marcus: How can you possibly know that, and Father Marcus responds: How can you not?

Agreed, the first episode this season did it for me, tired of the torture porn.

Another sad former DC resident here, still amazed that they got that MJ legislation passed, yay! DC is horrible, but guess what's worse: living in the most corrupt city/county/state in the country. Yes, that would be the city of Chicago in Cook County, IL. The rampant corruption, would be laughable if it weren't real. The gerrymandering, the mayor, the aldermen, the state legislature, the governor. The former mayor daley, who lined the pockets of his familie and cronies at the city's expense, looming bankruptcy or receivership, city and state employees collecting multiple pensions for a days work of the backs of the employees who actually earned such pensions... I could go on and on, but it is too depressing.

I thought the "he's coming" reference referred to Satan, too. I believe tour bus couple also mentioned this. Love this show. So disappointed in Fr. Tomas and Jessica. She needs to go away and leave him alone. What kind of sick person pursues a priest? Marcus is the man, I would watch a show all about him. Glad the nuns are coming back next episode. Nuns never get enough credit, and I love how they've been included and made important to vanquishing demons, very interesting. Did anyone catch their order?

Yes, again in the movie, the initial cause was the lovely aurora borealis. Funny that you mention taking Mom on vacation, because in the movie, that is exactly what Frank said he would do with the whole family if the Hamm stopped transmitting before the killer was caught ;)

They addressed this in the movie, and I believe the son told his dad just to do what he could with whatever info he gave him. It think also to tell his (Dad) best friend, who was a cop.
