  1. But Thea was living in a mansion -- Malcolm's mansion. That's where Felicity pinged her phone to. It's possible Diggle had some of the $1 million left from the end of s1. But Roy, how does he have any money since he's not working for Verdant any more? Or selling drugs?
  2. I think the show they had in mind had the Black Canary was the Green Arrow's True Love interest. But I think they soon realized that wasn't going to happen. What makes me bitter is that they are still trying to make Laurel Black Canary happen. To the detriment of other characters (Sara) and others' screentime.
  3. So Oliver is still all about Laurel in ep 306? Better a Roy episode than more Laurel.
  4. But The Flash and Arrow don't have to take place at the same time. The crossover, for example, they move from Tuesday in Central City to Wednesday in Starling. I think there is one promotional photo with Felicity and Oliver in his Arrow gear, but yeah, she's not going to be in the episode much, if at all. I too think that they're testing Oliver/Laurel without Felicity around. Ever since Laurel went blonde and Felicity is letting her hair down, it's getting harder to tell them apart in small pictures.
  5. In my house, the TV listings are the first thing that gets read when the Saturday paper comes. It's not the internet but the description of what's on does affect what we watch.
  6. From KC's interviews, I get the feeling that they took the script to her first even before they hired SA, although they announced her casting later (maybe it took months to work out the contract). At first I thought that having Felicity visit Barry was to give The Flash a boost. Now I'm thinking that it's a chance to try out the show with Laurel as Oliver's main female connection. I'm retreating to here because out there, the internet is full of people who think that Laurel is perfectly right to call up Felicity at work and have her google the guy's phone because that's what Oliver and Diggle do and Laurel is part of Team Arrow now. My feelings that 1. Diggle has a 2 year relationship with Felicity of friends and workmates 2. it was about Lyla's and baby Sara's safety and 3. he couldn't have got the information any other way are my bias talking I agree it's consistent. Why does it bug me so much when she does it to Felicity? Is it because Felicity is a nice person and will do what Laurel asks, while Laurel wouldn't reciprocate? Or is it because I think a woman should be nice to another woman because it's a cold, cruel, male-biased world out there? Before the big board meeting, Felicity asked him which suit he was wearing that night -- and whether he even remembered where his business suit was. At that time, all Oliver was thinking about was Slade and giving QC a pass. Which may be understandable, but it's also understandable why the board went with the guy who was an actual businessman with a history of making profitable business decisions. I do think that Felicity should have had a bump in title and pay during that period though. I think when Oliver said that Ray was a better person to run the company than he was, it was like giving Felicity permission to work for Ray. But maybe not. Oliver seemed pretty pissy about it in Corto Maltese. They really should have had a scene with them talking just so we could get a handle on their relationship right now, But since Felicity is off to Central City, I guess I have to wait till November sweeps to find out.
  7. From the scene where Cisco and Caitlin wonder how Felicity knows their assailant had "man parts", it looks like they don't know Felicity works with the Arrow yet. In The Flash promo for the next episode, Barry is introducing Felicity as someone who works with The Arrow and Cisco says "cool". This is totally possible to up the pressure on Laurel. Two people died for her storyline, now it can be three. But given that someone said something about Ra's wanting Oliver to work with him, it seems unlikely.
  8. Does anyone think this isn't going to come back and bite Oliver, hard? I can agree with Diggle that that was not the time to tell Thea, but I hope he tells her soon. Once she's back and settled. It's going to go better coming from him, and you know if it's not from Oliver, it's going to come from Malcolm at the time he can use it best. I'd be okay with Laurel and Felicity being team members together. What I'm not okay with is Laurel treating Felicity like her servant. Zero empathy, Laurel.
  9. He's grabbing on to the one person he can hold close -- Thea. Sara is dead and Felicity is moving away from him (I do think he knows about her new job but Roy is clueless, a part he plays well) and Laurel is doing her own form of mourning so he's trying to get Thea back.. I missed that he left it to Diggle to call Felicity. Oliver can be such an idiot sometimes. Well actually, much of the time. I wonder if Sara's magical jacket came from Mr. Gold's store on Once Upon a Time?
  10. This is a sentiment I think many of us can agree with
  11. I can't staaahnd it. And that would make Felicity the spunky Kathy? That works for me.
  12. It feels like there should have been a scene, or even a mention, of Oliver telling Felicity Barry was awake. Because dammit, Felicity spent hours at his bedside! I think that describes/explains Laurel's attitude to Felicity perfectly. I'd buy Thea as the Black Canary but I think the comic book fandom would explode.
  13. I thought he did know and that was why he was so anxious to have Felicity come and work for him because he knew what was on there and his own tech people couldn't get any stuff from the ruined hard drive and other components. I thought Felicity's reaction to hearing that everything was so badly blown up that he couldn't get anything was a very nice touch.... since it was her idea to blow up Applied Sciences in the first place.
  14. I don't think Ray will turn out to be evil in the end. And only partly Because Comics! but mostly because the writers like to think they're sooo clever. Just as meeting Felicity in Tech Village was a nod to BR's Shaw, so is the side eye he gave the plans for the weapon. I just have this feeling he'll end up a good guy in the end.
  15. Yes, I thought it was in character for Felicity too. She always calls people on their crap, from Oliver on down, including Moira. Including Walter when she thought he wanted to fire her. It was during working hours. Did Laurel assume Felicity doesn't have a job and is free to work on vigilante business all the time? What does she think Felicity lives on, or doesn't she think about Felicity like that? Friends do. Even if it were true that Felicity spends all her day on computers working for team Arrow, Laurel isn't on Team Arrow yet. It was a favor and if Laurel couldn't do it herself, she should have 1) asked if this was an okay time for Felicity to talk and 2) asked after work, not while Felicity was at work. (I have friends to whom it never occurs to ask me if this is an okay time to talk and I HATE it.) You'd lose. If you look at my post above, I complained that Diggle was doing it too. But at least Diggle was doing it in order to save his family. Laurel was doing it because she wanted to be Sara and assumed that she could use Felicity because Oliver did.
  16. It would be really funny if Ray wanted QC for the weapon Applied Sciences was developing and Oliver, it's former CEO, had no clue it was there. And Isabel was the one who ordered it. Yes. They're doing a good job of not forcing Laurel into Team Arrow (Oliver won't teach her to fight because Sara wouldn't approve (awwwww); Felicity calling her out on not being favor friends) but they do need to put in some Oliver/Felicity scenes back in. Someone who is being interrupted in a meeting with her boss in order to do something the other person could easily do herself, and having nothing to do with Arrow business. Especially when they're not friends in the first place. (Diggle took Felicity for granted too but at least it was about saving his family.) I'm okay with Laurel and Felicity having a friendlier relationship later on, but Laurel has to respect Felicity, and treat her with respect, first.
  17. Smart moves: Oliver refuses to train Laurel and they put Nyssa in to preview an episode where Felicity will be taking time off. The funny: when Laurel puts on Sara's jacket, she wants to do good. It's a magical jacket, clearly. What I missed: Doe, A Deer, playing in the background as Oliver and Diggle made up bows and arrows from parts of the hotel room. (I wonder what the excess charge was, and is ARGUS paying it?) They really are using Colton Haynes well. He's got the greatest facial expressions. I'm enjoying the Thea/Oliver and Thea/Merlyn stuff. I wonder if Merlyn had already made plans to have her back in Starling City as soon as he saw Roy. I'm glad Ray didn't make Felicity his EA, and that he appreciates her abilities. He'd have to, given how everyone kept calling her when she was in a meeting with him. Team Arrow + Laurel really has to stop taking her for granted.
  18. I really think this is the only answer that is going to allow them to behave like adults and isn't going to frustrate me as well as Diggle and Roy. Put them in a relationship, and let any drama be something they deal with as a couple as presumable Diggle and Lyla do.
  19. And for her it was only about Oliver, not Diggle and Felicity and Roy who help him. If the EPs want to redeem her, making her a team player would help.
  20. That's why I was hoping she would open up her own tech consulting company -- it would remove the taint of Isabel's gossip and put something on her resume for future jobs, and give her flex time for when Team Arrow needs her. Instead the appeal of medical and dental at Tech Village got to her. So I'm wondering from MG's tweet just what her new position is. It better be clearly not an EA position, not even an EA position with a super secret side tech project that he doesn't want anyone else to know about. If they want me to buy Ray as a viable love interest, he's going to have to help rehabilitate Felicity's reputation.
  21. So today there is a shooter running around the streets of the centre of Ottawa by the Parliament Buildings, and the police have locked down and are advising people to stay away from windows. And I thought "Oh, Laurel".
  22. He was probably positioning her so that she could walk away out of the hospital at the end without blocking him. But yes, the turn-around was strange and the kiss not as affecting because like their whole relationship, it was over too soon.
  23. Yeah, that's part of the problem. When I was an EA, I was better than many of the people with positions higher than me. (Incidentally, not the job I wanted, I applied to be a copywriter and a guy got that one and I got to be an EA.) Doesn't it bug you that people who are less competent than you are hold positions of higher authority, not to mention higher pay? The other problem, as others have said, is that Felicity never wanted to be an EA. She took the job for Oliver as part of his crusade but it's not what she wants and it's not what she trained for. We'll see what happens tonight but if Ray wants her to be an EA too, after learning just how very good she is at tech stuff, I'm going to be shipping her with anyone who will give her a job consistent with her desires and abilities. Well someone had to do his job for him.
  24. Isn't perjury lying under oath? Ted Grant wasn't under oath. Oh, look, he knows Laurel is angry about something other than him. And Ray knows Felicity is angry about something other than his stalking. Don't you just love it when these guys who have barely met the women know more about how they're feeling than they do themselves? She was asking for Arrow and Flash (and SPN etc) questions in general. It just happened that almost every question she got about Arrow was about Felicity. You may still get that in the Sara flashbacks, in fact you probably will if they show Sara's relationship with Nyssa developing. Sadly, at this point with Sara dead, they've killed whatever feels I'd be getting. I bet Laurel puts on Sara's masks and clothes every night to "honor" her.
  25. I hope this is Natalie Abrams misunderstanding the situation because if Ray is making her his EA, after all the porcupine farts, he's just lost all the points I gave him for hiring Felicity.
