  1. Thank you @ginger90 I had read this previously so I was aware but I am glad you posted it for everyone else. And, I can relate!
  2. I must have missed when we learned Dayton was going to college in Flagstaff can someone point me in the direction of this news? I just did a google search but was unsuccessful however, this has been stated with such certainty a number of times so I obviously missed this news and would be very interested in finding out more. I too have a son with special needs right around Dayton's age so he holds a special place in my heart hence my interest in his post secondary schooling. TIA
  3. I would take my response to small talk thread but alas they don't exist anymore, so here will have to do. I realize people are going to judge others especially when they put aspects of their lives out on a reality show and/or social media and certainly understand that it is a typical human response. I just believe it's a bit of a leap to make said judgments not based upon what we see, are told, or even what can be found in public records but instead use assumptions, speculations, and even sometimes known falsehoods. (edited out because too far off topic)
  4. I wholeheartedly agree with you!! Surprisingly, the judgments, assumptions, and speculations presented in this forum are mild compared to another similar forum.
  5. I don't know, I think it's hilarious and think it's great that he isn't overly self conscious and playful enough to wear something so outlandish. The world could use more whimsy and less judgement.
  6. Sheesh really?, how time flies, my bad, I didn't look it up so I was thinking he was 5 at most!
  7. it says "Datin" pretty good for a pre-schooler spelling if you ask me.
  8. I think Mykelti is actually seated on something you can see her foot resting on the red circled "leg" and Truely has her head resting on Mykelti's lap not her belly. There's no hidden person, at least not any living hidden person may be a statue though.
  9. Well, she does include the phrase "without making a mess of them" but perhaps my interpretation of her statement was incorrect.
  10. I don't consider my best friend (who also earned her PhD) an idiot even though anything she wraps apparently requires a whole roll of tape to stay wrapped and still has corners of wrapping paper askew and pieces of the box peeping through - and yes it's every year.
  11. REALLY??!!! I've been a AAA member for ages and had no idea! Crimeny, that's awesome! Thanks for the info!
  12. For those that may be unaware, the "Three letters" "T H C" that the spoiler referred to generally stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol which is the primary psychoactive component in marijuana. I only mention this because some are proposing phrases for the initials and wondered if perhaps some folks were not aware. Although, I fully admit people may be thinking outside the box or being creative since it was included as part of a frequently cryptic spoiler, and if that's the case carry on and excuse my interruption.
  13. So has no one been watching Dancing w/ the Stars Jr? Mackenzie has been competing and Maddie has shown up to dance a few times. I keep expecting someone to mention it here but so far... crickets. I personally hate that Mackenzie is on and find her extremely annoying but whatever. She looks way older than any of the other contestants and then just to further try to tip the voting to her favor she brings out Maddie I find the blatant pandering appalling.
  14. Agreed but they are super cute. I'd wear them for a formal evening.
  15. Haha, I rarely venture onto Twitter and even less so Instagram but even I realize that the Browns are not to blame for most of the hashtags that ya'll lambaste them for. OR, perhaps they are far more influential than anyone gives them credit for. A quick search discovers multi-thousands of posts using that hashtag on both platforms. Just for fun I also looked up the other two mentioned #breathingoxygen finds a following on twitter and 315 posts on instagram. #stillhaveaheartbeat finds 6 posts on instagram and 3 on twitter.
  16. I'll chime in here in case violet and green doesn't return to this thread... The yolk is fertilized when it is released into the oviduct and happens very early in the egg formation process. As an interesting note and to over simplify a bit, the hen can "store" sperm for a short time so that multiple eggs can be formed, fertilized, and laid without the need for daily mating. Another interesting tidbit, an embryo will not begin development until the hen has laid (or collected) enough eggs so that she feels she has a decent size clutch at which point she will begin the brooding process by laying on her clutch continuously, her body heat triggers embryonic development. This is why as long as eggs are collected daily they can still be eaten even if they have been fertilized.
  17. To be fair, do we know anything about either of the blondes? This is a single moment of a single day - I shudder to think what assessments would be made about me from a snapshot of a random day in my life. Even if they all have a social media presence we still only see what they post, or in the case of Mariah, and to an even smaller extent Audrey, what the show editors choose to show us. Yes, we get a slightly bigger view into the life and times of the Browns' due to the show but even that is a fraction of the actual daily activities out of an entire year! It's a rare bird that catalogs and posts the daily grind of everyday living thus providing "proof" that they are indeed productive members of society and earning an honest and fruitful living. I mean if we were to take a statistically significant sampling of social media posts and assess the activities and chronology of society how many of those posts would be "here I am at work slogging away at this vital spreadsheet"? Therefore the logical conclusion can only be that very few people work and those that do only spend a small fraction of their time earning an income.
  18. Ok, I'm usually a "live and let live" kind of person and rarely criticize or make judgement regarding others choices and living habits (even the Brown's), but this one made me irrationally angry. There are so many others within arms reach here that I just can't get on the its okay to trash perfectly good food just because.... why??? Now maybe they aren't living right next door to each other anymore but I'm sure it's not that much out of the way to drop it off at someone's house, anyone's house - she even states she's about to go out to spin class. As for how Christine might feel about it, I can see a weird juxtaposition between hurt that she just tossed my efforts down the drain yet flattered that she enjoyed it so much that she couldn't resist.
  19. Actually, buckwheat is not a grain and is indeed a seed - and is an excellent option for people with celiac disease or other gluten sensitivities. And while pointing out the obvious but furthering the point, all grains are seeds, but not all seeds are grains. Grains come from plants in the grass family whereas buckwheat is in the same class as rhubarb. It may be semantics but its a valid distinction.
  20. While I don't understand the fashion because I, like many of you, only wore jeans with holes in them after many years of wear and work but I don't mind the look as long as they fit correctly. That means when you stand, walk, sit, etc your body stays contained within the pants. If your thighs look like they are busting out of the strings this fashion is not for you or you need to buy a larger size. So in this case Gwen - yes, Mariah - no. Have faith, just like all other fads, this one will pass as soon as Hollywood and other pop culture icons move past it themselves. In the meantime, I personally won't fault folks for jumping on the fashion bandwagon but I will readily yell out my house to "Get off my lawn!!!"
  21. I don't think any of the adult children are.
  22. I didn't do the math but I'm guessing at the time of the proposal, he had spend more time with her parents than he had with her. And without a doubt, her parents got to know the real Chris and knows his true "in the real world" self, whom Bayleigh had NEVER met. I find it all quite appalling and making a mockery of the seriousness and commitment required for a lasting and fulfilling marriage. It is not something that should be taken so flippantly.
  23. Interesting, it seems Meri hasn't made the move to Flagstaff yet.
