  1. That was awesome! I love KM so much that I sat thru a Dateline episode last night that I had seen done on another show, so I already knew the outcome. I just wanted to see how Keith handled the witnesses.
  2. I am in no way defending the lifestyles of Jill and Jessa or their belief system - the minimizing of the Josh molestations turned my stomach - but I wanted to address the lack of housekeeping we see in both their homes. I wonder if they were ever taught how to keep a home clean and tidy? Young girls learn from their mothers' training and modeling of behaviors. With all wehave learned about Michelle and her detached relationships with her children, I have to believe that she never mentored her daughters in keeping house. And if they never saw their house being cleaned on a daily basis, how are they supposed to know to do it in their own homes? I understand that common sense would tell them to pick up when cameras were coming, but I don't think there's a lot of that sense to be found in these women. So I can't totally attribute their messy homes to laziness - I think they were never shown the way (or need) to clean up.
  3. As a Type 2 diabetic who has to severely restrict carbs to keep my blood sugar under 120, I was horrified at the opening scene when Lupe tested her blood sugar sugar - 475! - and injected her insulin. Then later as she was scarfing down enough food for 4 people, she said that she'd just take some more insulin. My God! She must have no understanding of what that behavior is doing to her body. In fact, when she was whining about not being able to stand because her legs were numb, I wondered whether the numbness was just a ploy to avoid the effort of standing, or if it was real - a result of nerve damage due to her uncontrolled diabetes. I felt bad for her. This was such a humiliating exhibition. Getting stuck on a toilet and needing 6 big men just to get her off. Passing menstrual blood and not even realizing it. Just awful for her.
  4. David Schwimmer has risen to the same level as Sarah Paulson and Courtney Vance as the superior performers in this show, IMO. I was fascinated watching his dawning realization of O.J.'s guilt. His torment in coming to the truth was visceral.
  5. Maybe the public sex thing is why the little one wound up in the loft and the older girls got the downstairs closet - er, bedroom.
  6. I couldn't stop looking at his teeth (or lack of them) wheh he was packing food into his mouth. It made me wonder what the super obese do when they have tooth problems. No way could Sean have gone to a dentist to have decayed teeth restored. I guess he'd have to go in an ambulance to a hopital where a dentist could be brought in to extract them. That really disturbed me, but I guess losing his teeth was the least of his problems.
  7. I know Phillip is an educator, but have we learned what it is he teaches?
  8. HFC, my heart goes out to you. My mother died over 15 years ago, and her final few days were excruciating to watch. Both of my brothers had already passed away, as had my father, so I was the one who sat with her to the end. She wasn't in pain, but she tossed and turned and moaned and called out my name until I thought my heart would break. I held her hand and told her that I was there and that I loved her over and over. As I wept, I told her what a wonderful mother she had been. She would quiet down for a few minutes, then the agitation would start again. I finally leaned down and whispered to her that it was okay for her to let go - that she could leave me and go join her beloved husband and sons, and she slipped away shortly afterwards. Watching her struggle to die was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I realized that it was also an amazing privilege. I was allowed to be with her as she slipped from this life to the next, and I'm forever grateful for that. Peace to you, Happy. What you are going through is incredibly hard, but it will be a precious memory for you in the years to come.
  9. My husband said that he bet that the man cave was the bribe the parents used to get him to come with them to Europe.
  10. I am from Houston, where Kelly Sigler was something of a rock star. She is in some serious legal trouble, according to local reports. There have been 4 lawsuits filed against her personally for her actions while prosecuting cases, and the DA's office is facing reviews of all of her cases. In addition, some suits have been filed against her and TNT for the portrayals seen in her Cold Case series. I think one of them even names Dick Wolf, the series producer, as a defendant. Things aren't looking good for her. And I don't expect a return of Cold Justice any time soon.
  11. Does anyone know where the episode title, "Signed, Sealed, and Delivered" came from? It doesn't seem to fit the events, unless it's a reference to Alecia's boot. Did one of her tribemates say it?
  12. Looks like Osweiler is coming to Texas. Word is that Denver offered him $30 million guaranteed and Houston offered $37 million. I don't know how he'll work out, but as a long-suffering Texans fan, I'm just glad that we now have a glimmer of hope at the quarterback position.
  13. This show is so well done, and the acting is really superlative, but I'm extremely uncomfortable watching it. I guess I feel such contempt for Simpson and Cochran and such sympathy for Clark - I hate watching the action play out. I'll probably keep watching, but I don't find it enjoyable.
  14. Guatamala left me with one distinct memory - the utter and ccomplete downfall of Stephenie. Such a heroine (seemingly) in Palau, and such an entitled bitch in Guatamala! What a difference! It may well have been the edit she got in both seasons, but it was very effective.
  15. I wonder if JimBob and Michelle realize that there is something seriously wrong with Josh. As a young teenager her touches his sisters inappropriately. As an adult he spends money on encounters with hookers and joins an adultery website. That is so fucked up. Do they not see it?
  16. This episode was nothing more than a 30-minute commercial for Stewart's new book. I was disgusted. And I hate the 'go to the internet and vote' thing they're doing. Just show us the pretty dresses, dammit!
  17. This is turning out to be an interesting group of dancers. But please - no Frankie Grande. He's beyond awful and will suck all the air out of the ballroom. I would love to see Edyta again, but not if she's stuck with Grande.
  18. I'm really glad that Spotlight won. It was definitely my favorite film of the year and I wanted it to win, but I had resigned myself to its losing to The Revenant or The Big Short. I squealed when Morgan Freeman announced it as the winner. Very well deserved.
  19. So do we know if Josh has been sprung from 'rehab'? I thought he was supposed to be confined through February, so I keep expecting to hear that he's back in Arkansas.
  20. My DVR cut off early so we didn't see the ending. Did Freddie's test run in Oregon produce good gold?
  21. And what 'paperwork' was she trying to catch up on while she was there?
  22. Actually, he's eligible for parole before 2020, IIRC. It will be interesting to see if his application for parole is granted.
  23. Or - it's a dress she has owned which no longer fits her due to her recent weight loss.
  24. If only Sarah had known John Paul Jones, this might have turned out very differently. But her answer to FJ was beyond ridiculous.
  25. I loved this episode. The couple was so charming and were very respectful of each other. And the houses were wonderful! They were so different from what we usually see on HH, and each one had it own distinct advantages. I agree that Bend, Oregon looks like a great place to live.
