  1. Terry Kinney as an Albanian chief. Who'd have thunk it? Raylan is the smoothest lawman ever. And, I agree that the episode was stronger without the distraction of Willa.
  2. Declan is an Anglican derivation of the Irish Deaglán. You'll hear it in many episodes of episodic TV that find characters traveling to Ireland or Scotland or when folks of those nationalities come to the US.
  3. I knew there would be an adjustment moving from the familiarity of Harlan County to Detroit, as we missed those wonderfully-drawn characters in Kentucky. But Raylan is all the familiarity I needed to get involved with this Justified extension. The new cast has talent and I'm looking forward to seeing their interactions with the hat-wearing protagonist.
  4. David Berry, AKA Lord John Gray, is in North Carolina this weekend at the annual Highland Games. Here he is leading a parade along side “Governor Tryon.”
  5. I just read that Chris Larkin, who plays Richard Brown, is the son of Maggie Smith. I knew that Toby Stephens (Black Sails) was her son but Chris was a surprise.
  6. I just read that Chris Larkin, who plays Richard Brown, is the son of Maggie Smith. I knew that Toby Stephens (Black Sails) was her son but Chris was a surprise.
  7. And Jack Fox, a brother, was one of the big bads in Sanditon.
  8. I thought Sturgill Simpson was great in his role. Another example of great casting.
  9. Wait. You're telling me that Jen Lilley and Matthew Morrison are starring in a sequel to Lacy Chabert and Will Kemp's Christmas Waltz movie? And on GAC instead of Hallmark? This seems all kinds of wrong.
  10. You can really see a resemblance between Sam and his daughter. I know it was special for him to be able to act with her in an episode.
  11. The June schedule is out and includes both mysteries and romance offerings. Hallmark new summer movies
  12. One of my favorite episodes was on tonight, Blindsided. Chad and Roy steal the show as Brenda's bodyguards after she was involved in a shooting. Roy lounging with Brenda's dad on the fold-out bed with Brenda's dad at chez Johnson/Howard is priceless.
  13. That's my prediction exactly, Renee in CA.
  14. While I've watched the entire series and found - for the most part - that it refreshed my high school memories of reading this novel. But, in total, I think the vagaries of this adaptation necessitate calling it, "Great Expectationsish."
  15. I love the Jesus Christ Superstar touches. I recognize them more easily than some of the others.
  16. My favorite thread among several in this episode was Sam and his father. Ola is just a big ol' bear of a man with wisdom and a kind heart. Sam is his father's son, for sure. I loved the looks exchanged between Ola and Rebecca and Keeley bursting the tension with a battle cry. And Will with Beard's beard - priceless!
  17. I was talking with a friend today who hadn't seen the episode yet. She said she had fallen asleep during last week's episode. I told her, "You know how you were kinda meh about that episode? You're not going to feel that way after this one. So much fun - and I even shed a tear or two during Colin and Trent's conversation. The boys are back in town! (I expect to hear that song when they finally win a game.)
  18. The first Bones episode I saw was "The Proof in the Pudding" (S5 E12) in which the lab goes on lockdown to examine secret government remains. I loved it and streamed the first seasons as well as continued to watch the new episodes to the bitter end. But I don't enjoy re-watching. I have watched every single episode of the L&O Mothership dozens of times and L&O Criminal Intent, too. Heck, now I'm doing the same with Monk. But I don't enjoy rewatching Bones episodes at all.
  19. I thought Wendy Malik, an older actress, was great with Kimberly Williams-Paisley in the Darrow and Darrow mystery series. I'd watch more episodes of that.
  20. I was thinking the case was an NXIVM "ripped from the headlines" until they actually referred to NXIVM. I liked that acknowledgment.
  21. I just discovered the Rewind Channel on my cable lineup. It's within the Spanish language section that I don't have access to so I never look at the menu.
  22. Relief abounds that Georgiana's inheritance saga was solved in this episode so no drawn-out affair. And, no waiting until the last episode for Charlotte and Alexander to come together, kinda.
  23. I come to the Other Drams section about once a week and happened to see this forum. I loved Scarecrow and Mrs. King when it aired live so I downloaded the Tubi app and watched the first two episodes. Sometimes you just need to live in the past.
