  1. I can totally see why Corey and Rob used the Express Pass on the Roadblock when they didn't know if the judging would be strict. Remember how long it took Corey to do the Balancing and Dancing detour? Such a good twist that running together as a group cost them time and finishing places. There will be less cooperation on the next leg. Also, the 3 amazing camera crews stayed out of each other's camera shots. Or can the editors just erase them from the video? Are they using cell phones to record yet? Why did the server brother not leave his backpack in the kitchen with his brother. I kept expecting him to take out an adjacent table. Also interesting that he wasn't given a serving tray. I guess production was hoping for dropped dishes.
  2. Didn't the sellers of the Coyote Pass property decrease the price because Kody agreed to pay to have utilities extended to the property as the county required? Can they have the land replatted without the utilities? I could only have read that here and my limited experience is with incorporated towns in a very different state so I know nothing about unincorporated Arizona properties. Inquiring minds want to know.
  3. IMO Sutton wasn't as upset with the male performers, who were just doing their job, as she was with Erika's performance since she's Sutton's coworker. Erika was of course auditioning for her own Vegas gig. Even during the floor show Crystal was being ignored by the HW camera people, they were focused on Erika and Sutton. The only reason Kyle came over to Sutton in the lobby was to follow the camera. I think a lot of Sutton's reactions in Vegas were also fueled by alcohol. The glam squads must have gone back to LA after the cowgirl prep. The HWs looked pretty raw in the van to the airport. Erika's face was rather red in the daylight and she stayed far away from the camera. Dorit and Garcelle as former models can put on their own makeup and I'm sure Sutton kept her people for the morning; she didn't do that braid herself. Sutton needs an intervention but she won't get any help from these women. Jennifer Tiĺly might help.
  4. When was the 'Tell All" for the previous season filmed? Didn't Janelle and Meri say they were through with their marriages then? I think Truely's birthday party and Christine's sit down at Garrison's all happened the same weekend along with the gardening footage, probably because the TLC cameras were in town. Didn't someone say they are still filming the Talking Heads in some garage? It's probably at Meri's house which is why she's still renting it. The one topic I wish they would really address is Coyote Pass. We got a couple sentences but no real substance. Have they ever addressed the fact that Christine signed over her interest in her lot to the rest of them? I don't think Meri is nearly as clueless about her marriage as she is trying to appear. She's been hanging on for the money for years. Robyn wants her to stay around because without Meri she'd have no one to film with but Kody. She never has any on screen relationship with her her children. It was almost interesting that Meri felt the need to film that handheld second Talking Head in the red dress to repeat the info about the anniversary date, which didn't even get filmed. Also interesting that production edited it into the footage. Did it add anything?
  5. Is there a WWHL thread for this forum like there is on some other HW forums? Would some kind soul please start one? I thought Blue Raven was starting to sing Faith Hill's Breathe.
  6. I'm impressed by her beautiful complexion in that heat and after so many hours on the run. It can't be makeup can it? And she is a real TAR competitor, not just a pageant girl. Her dad maybe the weak link in their team.
  7. Obviously, Meri's life would have been very different if she had been able to have more children. Bringing in two more wives who were Uber fertile made her life more difficult complicated by the fact there was no money for that many mouths to feed. But she was more interested in being the matriarch than in being a provider once her child was in school. There's an interesting study to be written about the dynamics of this family. In fact this forum comes closer to the study than the TV show does.
  8. I don't think it's possible for any reality show to revert to what they were in the early years. Once the shows were broadcast and the performers took notes, the reality ended. Everything seems so staged now. I admire the parents who insisted their children not be included. I can't imagine being a teenager having to go to school after some the parents shenanigans. Maybe it's a status thing for some people, but those kids would be insufferable, not real.
  9. I hope the kids drew names for this year's gift exchange while they were together at Christine's wedding. They could even have included Robyn's kids with a phone call.
  10. I hope the kids took advantage of all of them being together at Christine's wedding to draw names for this Christmas's gift exchange.
  11. I'm not sure Kody knows which of the kids are Christine's and which are Janelle's. He says Christine's turning his kids against him but he's most upset about his relationship with the boys. He never acknowledges any of the girls. All but one of the boys are Janelle's, not Christine's. I thought Christine was pretty kind about Mykelti's relationship with Robyn even though I suspect Mykelti was a proto nanny for Robyn's 3 original kids when they first joined the family.
  12. My hope is that Tumi and Natalya will get together and see through Kyle and bring him down. But I think it won't happen because the whole objective for bringing his lazy self back has to be as a sh*t stirrer. But, no conflict; no show. Or we'll get sex triangles.
  13. Does anyone think there will be a time this season when someone asks him what his plans are for Coyote Pass? At this point in the current season has Christine signed the quit claim on her share? Will Janelle and Meri bring it up?
  14. Is it true that people from Liverpool are Liverpuddilians?
  15. I think that Brigham Young didn't even publicly announce polygamy until they were leaving the Midwest on the way to Utah. My LDS history isn't as strong as it used to be. I have relatives in the church but we don't discuss religion. Fawn Brodie's No Man Knows My History is a good place to start.
  16. The whole premise of the show from the beginning was introducing a 4th wife into a plural marriage. Without Robyn there's no TLC, IMHO. And without the money from the show Robyn wouldn't have married in and there would have been more bankruptcies. (And we might have spent our time more productively, or not)
  17. I thought the replacement guy living with the meth head girlfriend was the guy he sold the phone and credit cards to. I forgot to watch the extra features on episodes 2&3. Glad I didn't delete them because I knew I'd have to rewatch for details at the end of the season. They must not have much crime in the area if they can have the whole squad working on the death of a squatter found years after the crime.
  18. Have they never heard of using a pressing cloth between a garment and the iron? It would be used on an ironing board not hanging but if you're working with a meltable fabric don't let a hot object touch it. Of course were looking at cleaning staff not seamstresses. I really am old...
  19. Just to add to the sample size, not commenting on all of your experiences, but I think I was exposed to Covid on a Monday; started having symptoms Tuesday afternoon. I tested positive on Wednesday morning, started taking paxlovid Wed evening. Fever and deep cough gone by Friday. No allergic reactions but I don't have strong allergies. I never lost smell or taste but I didn't have much appetite. The two friends I had lunch with on Tuesday both came down with it. Of the two of them one took paxlovid and one didn't. The non-Pax one tested positive for almost 2 weeks. I hope everyone is feeling better now. I was amazed how fast this variant moved. People I had dinner with on Monday didn't get it but Tuesday's did. We all had all our boosters but I hadn't had it before. I got the RSV and flu shots yesterday but I'll wait a couple months before getting the new booster. Stay safe.
  20. I think the guests live in Orange County which is southern California not the Bay Area. They said the restaurant was in Dana Point. I've got nothing more to say about the episode.
  21. It feels like Meri has observed that Christine is still being included in filming and the money distribution, so Meri is figuring out that she doesn't need to stay in Flagstaff as Robyn's handmaiden and synchophant.(sp?, but you know what I mean). They can still get paid.
  22. He wants to be a husband but has no interest in being a father.
