  1. Maybe the fact that we haven't seen much of the girlfriends (Yvonne and Melissa?)means that they make it a long way in the Race. Or maybe they are just boring.
  2. So speaking Spanish is going to be a season long advantage with a few exceptions.
  3. I think Mary has grown a lot since her church abandoned her. I like this Mary a lot and look forward to seeing what the actress does with widowhood. Of course it all depends on what the writers do with the new show. Given what Georgie said to Sheldon in the episode before the wedding on TBBT, i think there's a lot of potential. I think Mandy is the wild card because right now she's a pretty blah character. I don't know if it's the actress or the way she's written.
  4. Random thoughts: I sincerely believe/hope that K&M had that discussion earlier with their daughters privately and what we saw was a recreation for cameras. I think I saw somewhere that PK was filming some kind of real estate show in the UK so he couldn't just leave because of filming schedules. Garcelle had the best shoes for the SoFi field; fancy wedges like Princess Kate at garden parties and field events on trips. Didn't this season start with all the HWs clutching their pearls about the People article? It definitely was something that came after filming was supposed to have ended for the season. All those scenes were obviously staged. The show does assume that we all ignore the 4th wall of cameras and sound people. I wonder if they can film more unobtrusively now with all the advances in cell phone technology.
  5. I really enjoy reading the live chat, but I couldn't watch this live. I'll always have to record so I can FF through the commercials. Interesting that they filmed the boat float but not the rehearsal dinner. I like that that makes it feel like a real family event and not a filmed and edited performance. Please don't ruin my illusion and tell me it was filmed but too boring to show.
  6. I think the Sister Wives relationship she wanted coming into the family was for Christine to raise her children as she was already doing for Christine and Janelles kids, Meri and Janelle would be the worker bees and Robyn could feather her nest on the gravy train the TV show would become - to totally mix my metaphors. I also fully believe the show would never have been green lighted without the introduction of a 4th wife. There's not much story if only the OG wives were the cast.
  7. One more person joining the I've been hit by a tree group. In my previous house I had 5 or six trees hit the house in the 37 years I lived there. They were all Douglas fir trees that fell in December or January storms where the wind was blowing from the south. I live in the Seattle suburbs and our trees are apparently braced against the storms from the north. None of the trees were from my property and one even fell uphill. My insurance (USAA) was terrific and were great in helping me arrange contractors. I hope you have luck in getting your home repaired. You might well ask why I stayed in the house that long but I loved many things about it and besides I believed it couldn't happen again, right? I admit that in my new downsized house I love that I don't have any trees taller than my house.
  8. From the clapperboard it looks like this was filmed at the end of October, 2023. That's almost current. Did someone say R&K are living somewhere other than Flagstaff. Maybe it was quoting Gwen?
  9. This was the most truthful or at least truth-adjacent episode of the season IMHO. The most significant statement of the show was when Janelle said all the children love Christine because she raised them while their mothers were working. That's really where their loyalties will always lie. The issue that isn't explored is that the older group of kids all grew up and left the nest during the Vegas years. Any family changes when the Nest starts emptying. Friday night and weekend dynamics change when kids are involved with sports as most of their kids were. They still have never really addressed the real issues in the move to Flagstaff. Was Kody just looking for land where he could recreate an upscale version of the Lehi house? Christine was already planning her economic escape plan and was not moving back into any basement. Robin was totally checked out but also like she never goes out in the sunshine. Had Christine never seen Robin's house? I did enjoy this more than most of the season.
  10. What did Kody say about Christine forcing Mykelti to shut Robyn out in order to have a relationship with C&D? I kind of tuned out when he was talking but that seemed different from what we've seen this season. Of course the time lag between the season and the tell alls may have something to do with it. I suspect the Wooleys are more generous grandparents than the Precious Memories.
  11. And what was the deal with that celebrity crush rubbish? That time could have been used to grill Kody about his individual relationships with the forgotten 13 or even with Robyn's kids.
  12. But he was sponsored and promoted by his Uncle Louis Mountbatten.
  13. The aria was Sempre Libera from La Traviata and it means always free, which Margaret never was but neither was the character singing. After the first stroke there should have been someone always nearby. Could she really walk on those feet? The last scene with her was perfect but the Mall wouldn't have been empty. Didn't people celebrate all night? And the American Army was segregated until Truman ordered it desegregated after the war. I think if not for the Abdication, Elizabeth would have married Porchy or someone like him and happily raised horses and dogs. But when her role changed, Philip became a better match. But at this age, one does look back and muse about other roads not taken.
  14. I don't care for the actor playing Harry so charmlessly although I know that's the way he is written. But in real life, why couldn't Princess Anne have taken him under her wing as a second child destined to spend life in the spotlight but never the star. I hope they have better ideas about preparing Charlotte and Louis for real life.
  15. Did anyone else see that the wing came off the brothers' plane as they were running to the mat? I wonder if they made him run back to get it. I guess its purpose was to give them the address in Kenmore, not like when they had to bring the Amazing Gnome to the mat.
  16. I thought the shade Sutton was throwing was aimed at people like Kyle, Dorrit and Melissa Gorga who put their names out in front on other people's businesses and pretend to be entrepreneurs. What I heard Sutton imply was, I did this with my money without investors. Avi had lost a lot of weight when he appeared behind the bar on WWHL at the beginning of this season. If my ex husband wanted to take my children to London, I would have insisted that I be set up in a very nice flat nearby for shared custody. As an aside, I was also told I was going to be divorced at a birthday lunch.
  17. Rob and Corey did take I-5 to Kenmore but they got lost on the surface streets getting to the kayak site. They all took 405 to get to Marymoor Park down the south side of Lake Waxhington. The scramble sites were all pretty central and not far from the freeway so no real problem. Rob and Cory made a good choice going to Emerald City Trapeze Arts first because there's only one venue and they would have had to wait if there were another team there. Our family had several people gift each other trips to fly there several years ago. My 7 yo granddaughter was awesome but climbing the rope ladder was exhausting for her after several trips. The polar flights from Europe to Seattle are not bad. I loved seeing some of my favorite parts of my city and I thought the scramble challenges were "challenging " as they should be. Great season!!
  18. Summer in Seattle is great weather, but don't tell anyone.
  19. Julia Roberts on WWHL doing her Sutton dramatization is worth 20 minutes of your time. She was as real as I've always hoped she would be.
  20. Exactly my thought. I don't want anyone involved in my anesthesia who isn't watching for aspiration or other esophageal issues.
  21. Regarding Kyle going up to bed while others cleaned up: she also went up while the camera crew was still there so they could film her trudging upstairs. Also I couldn't believe they came to Dorit's just to film that conversation with the kids. And during the later conversation with PK I kept expecting him to suggest sending Jaegger to boarding school in England. I can't imagine the household dynamics being conducive to getting those children out the door in time for public school.
  22. Speaking of Hunter, there never was much discussion on the show about his appointment to the Air Force Academy, was there? I remember the episodes about his wrestling but then he dropped off the show; his choice I'm sure. I admire all the children who have declined to chase after attention.
  23. There don't seem to be more rooms or guests in this season compared to other seasons where they functioned quite well with only three stews. And even with three stews they usually call the third stew up from cabins for dinner service. Tumi is not doing a very good job as chief stew in my opinion; she's really not supervising her crew.
  24. Didn't that clip from Today from Paris in Love make it look like that was the first Kathy knew about the baby? Did Paris keep the surrogacy a secret from even her mother both times?
  25. I'm looking forward to the wedding special because it looks like almost all of the kids were there, even Leon and Audrey. Was Gwen there? I'm much more interested in the kids stories than I am in the rehash of the whining older generation.
