  1. That every kid is kool! Great message there, Marcus. How about, unless you're Keith Richards, someone will always be cooler than you, and that's okay.
  2. I fast-forwarded through most of this, and I didn't even finish it. Came here to see who won. I think the big problem with this format, besides being too long and making me get to know people I have no interest in getting to know, is that "birds of a feather flock together" and that doesn't make for interesting interactions among the contestants or weddings that stand out from each other. I don't think it helps that seemingly many of these brides are using the same wedding planners or venues.
  3. I was wondering the same thing. They usually look very awkward doing it, and I'm wondering if production puts them up to it. I really don't like the dancing into the reception, fist-pumping thing either that seems de riguour these days. Most guys can't dance, and the women aren't much better.
  4. I hope she'd grow up to realize everyone has opinions. Someone loves your name. Someone hates your name. It doesn't matter. Obviously there's a new generation of parents that think the name is lovely. Others think it's horrible, like a lot of names.
  5. I did a little poking around about the broken heart logo. I thought someone had said previously that it was Marcus' wife's design, but apparently it's Susana Monaco. I wonder why they didn't mention that when she was so prominently featured in this show. Marcus tweeted something about the line in June, #unbreakable, but a Google search of "Susana Monaco unbreakable" and "broken heart" doesn't bring up anything where you can buy this stuff. Anyway, I wonder if Montiel wanted no part of that? Might be more than meets the eye about the conflict between the two.
  6. I know there was a trend there for a while to give kids old-fashioned names, and I think Olivia and Ava are lovely names, but I will never get the appeal of Hazel. I think it sucks that Hazel, the most challenged, got the ugly name.
  7. @Jaded, thanks, hadn't heard of this at all, but I don't watch much network TV. I'll give it a go. Sounds different. If there's a lot of cheesy reenactments though, that's usually a big no for me.
  8. I think part of the problem might have been that they all had the same wedding planner and used her venues.
  9. Dale cooks. And I thought he couldn't get any better. I want some of those meatballs!
  10. I'm in Houston, and it's a Hispanic thing here to have those on the back of the truck.
  11. Boy, Marcus was a grumpy pumpkin last night. I don't think I've ever heard him drop so many F bombs. He just seems so emotional and unprofessional. I guess he's got enough money that it doesn't make any difference. I'm probably in the minority here, but I felt like he had it out for this woman from the start. Why any business owner who isn't desperate would go on this show to be made a fool of, I have no idea. Hardly anyone is coming out looking good this season. And because it can't be said enough: Marcus, I know you said you know women's apparel, but I can't take anything you say about fashion seriously when you're wearing those ridiculous broken heart sweaters.
  12. I honestly thought it looked like a makeup job they do for open casket funerals!
  13. I thought at cocktail hour they mentioned it was peanut butter and chocolate beer?! I could be hallucinating though.
  14. Maggie's choices seemed so odd to me, like she didn't want anything her guests would like. "I don't want salted caramel even if it is the favorite. I want something unique." And not only did she have an outside wedding in December, she had it at night!
  15. I'm developing an irrational dislike of Reagan. I can't quite pinpoint why. It started last week when she told Brittainy, her boss, to take a chill pill when Shannon was having a fit. And describing herself at least twice as the blond with the big tits, which don't even look that big. The fact that Kristen loves her personality so much makes me actually think less of Kristen, and I didn't think that was possible. She seems dumb and mean, which is not a nice combo.
  16. Poor Lexi was never going to win. The related ones need to spend holidays together. I laughed when Ashley said Maggie's was her favorite wedding. What else was she going to say? It was her sister-in-law. This might work with friends, but no way with family members.
  17. @SunnyBeBe, there's a new season on DIY. There's been two episodes so far.
  18. Is anyone watching In Defense Of on Oxygen? I've been bored with ID and was poking around over on that channel. It's interviews with the attorneys who defended some of the most infamous criminals. The only one I've seen the whole way through was Ted Bundy's defense attorney. I started the one on Timothy McVeigh. It was really fascinating to hear their attorneys' take on things, especially since the attorney-client privilege is waived once the defendant dies. Anyway, it's a very different perspective on the stories that have been covered ad nauseam. I recorded the one about Jodi Arias but haven't watched it yet.
  19. I'm enjoying it. Doesn't seem much different than any other season to me - starving in the wilderness and bitching about it, except for a couple people. I really don't know what it is that I enjoy about this show, because on the face of it, it would seem like it's the equivalent of watching paint dry. But my everyday life is so removed from nature, I guess I find it interesting how humans actually survive out there.
  20. This! I enjoy this show in a "have it on in the background" kind of way, and I'm amazed at how the Busbys have coped with an admittedly self-inflicted situation, but that baby talk gets on my last nerve! If I hear "Pawkuh" one more time...
  21. I still think Jay is the best part of this show, and Kristen talking about Jay is pretty funny. She even said something about how it's their way to spar back and forth or banter or something. I think their interaction is amusing. She "gets" him obviously, so whatever works for them.
  22. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to children dressing appropriately, but I have never heard that a toddler girl running around in a diaper is politically incorrect. I mean, if someone is sexually excited by the sight of a toddler girl in a diaper, I doubt their problem is the clothing or lack thereof. Maybe I'm not understanding your point though.
  23. Kristen was hardly in this episode. I guess I'm missing the point of this show. It should be called "A Little Cavallari - Mostly Excruciatingly Common People Working at Uncommon James."
  24. Nicole Curtis, Rehab Addict, makes quite a few appearances on Brett Tutor's Instagram. Inquiring minds want to know...
  25. I only recently started watching this on MeTV, a few weeks ago, but I have to say "The Enthusiast" is definitely my favorite episode so far. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. Barbara, it turns out, is extremely competitive and hilarious hijinks ensue. The character is usually so subdued, but she really let lose. The actress who plays her did a great job.
