  1. The behind the scenes goings on of a show can sometimes effect what's on screen, either good or bad. Hawaii 5-0 seems to have a really weird backstage vibe that arguable has contributed to the mucking up of a once good show. They really struck gold (or at least silver) in the first season with a fun action show that had four leads who really gelled--or at least their characters did. Ever since then, they tinkered around with the formula--introducing sappy love interests, rotating people onto and off the team, splintering characters off on their own, marginalizing characters. I know some of the backstage impacts couldn't be avoided (AOL's rehab, Grace Park pregnancy) and bad writing/plots play a huge role, but I don't get a sense of camaraderie from the cast. The lack of focus on the core 4--and the core working working together as a team--is a common complaint TPTB have to have heard and yet have never tried to return to that dynamic. Is it because they don't want to write that or because that dynamic doesn't work with the actors anymore. These are the writers that have continued this Shelburne nonsense for years, so maybe they really are that dense but I think it's a mix of writing and the actors.
  2. I assume the flashbacks would be to his mother's murder, his father arrest and trial and what happened to Barry afterwards.
  3. Let's not speak too much about the reality show host Emmy, lest it dredge up memories of the first year it was awarded and all the nominees co-hosted the ceremony. Oy vey.
  4. After a year or so (maybe two) the girls had worked off their debt. Mrs. Garrett was POed that they all couldn't wait to go back to the regular dorm and get away from each other, so she forced them to repaint the room to get it ready for the new girls (I guess another group of 4 girls wrecked a van??). They got into a paint fight, which made them realize they missed each other but also ruined the hardwood floors. So the girls had to move back in to pay for the refinishing. I'm sure that didn't take as long to pay off as the wrecked van but I don't recall it being brought up again why they stayed there. It's been a long time, but I thought there was a line from Mrs. Garrett that she talked to all their parents and they agreed to the arrangement to a) teach them a lesson and b) avoid the alternative, which was them being expelled.
  5. So I guess they have to fight each reject and make it all the way to the end? Not much chance, but at least she's back. Chad's haircut looks better but he still looks like he needs a bottle of shampoo.

    Fix The Show

They could do an all Idol season. Every player gets to draw an Idol at the start of the game (or compete for it). Each Idol has a unique power. Some are uber powerful and some are not so hot. Everyone knows everyone else has an Idol but not what they do. Everyone would be making outlandish threats about what their Idol can do.
  7. The show doesn't premier on Food Network until this coming Sunday. They must have posted the premiere early online somewhere.
  8. Stern replace Morgan in Season 7 Three. David Hasselhoff.
  9. Aren't Pete Lee and Jared Logan on VH1's Best Week Ever?
  10. Past Seasons: Before We Traded a Cop for an Assassin, a Psycho Hacker and The Machine's Evil Twin

    Iris West

Yes, I mainly know about Wally from JL/JLU. I only vaguely know about Bart Allen. Wasn't he supposed to be Barry's nephew? I don't see how people keep up with all the different comic iterations/plots...even the writers!
  12. I didn't care for the second Shy Ronnie nearly as much as the (but I still liked it better than the Dick in a Box follow up, Mother Lover). But to me the first Shy Ronnie was perfect. Rihanna's autotune throughout, Ronnie's mumbling, "shoulda just paid Kayne" and of course "He pissed himself!" The Ambiguously Gay Duo was awesome. They did go to the well a bit too often with it, but I think ti was the only TV Funhouse skit to get a live action version....which was awesome! Speaking of TV Funhouse, this is one of my favs:
  13. Starting next week, MeTV will The Love Boat weekdays at 10am.
  14. I think it airs an hour earlier in some of the Eastern Canadian provinces. One of them mentioned it was at Customs. There likely wouldn't have been any filming allowed in the area. I'm really surprised they made the finale easier for All Stars instead of harder. They were apparently given a specific flight from the UK to Vegas, which I assume was to ensure they arrived at a specific time since most of the "tasks" required it to be nighttime. Then no memory task to potentially switch things up and finally literally being dropped at the finish line instead of having to figure out how to make it there. I wasn't as underwhelmed as some with this season's tasks but the finale definitely blew. Dave and Conner were telegraphed as the winners for a while now, but I mostly attribute that to bad editing. What bothers me more is the apparent dumping of the equal Roadblocks rule.

    Caitlin Snow

So was Killer Frost a friend turned foe in the comics? Is she somehow related to Captain Cold (who I mainly know from the Superfriends Legion of Doom)? It's seems odd Flash has two "cold" based villains when his powers aren't heat-based.
  16. Is this a character from the comics? I got a "I'm super smart and want to help you be a hero but eventually I'll reveal I just want to steal your super fast legs so I can walk again" vibe from him.

    Iris West

I know very little about the comics. Is Iris West related to Wally West?
  18. I get the impression Red isn't her father, but that he was the one who pulled her out of the fire and took her to Sam. Red probably went to kill her father for some reason and taking pity on her made sure she was safe. Red wouldn't harm the little dog, so he's cool!
  19. I don't think Ward killed the dog. I think he shot and missed hoping Garrett would think he killed him, Money's on FitzSimmons being alive because Ward shoved them in a watertight container and activated some kind of homing beacon for Coulson to follow.
  20. It was the 70's. Folk rock was a thing. Crazy, I know.
  21. I think they are over. These are all just random plot points to fill time until the final takedown. The previews tease that'll happen next week, but since they're expecting another season, Victoria will escape unscathed--again--and Conrad will somehow worm his way out. Stevie may come back when they need more senseless filler for next season, but I think things like the deed to the manor are dead and buried.
  22. And still were 7 years later during A Very Brady Christmas. Well, Bobby was supposed to be in grad school but Cindy was supposed to be a senior in college. I know she was a little slow, but damn.
  23. I believe Conrad would go off on Charlotte for laying into him after he was just willing to save her, but I don't buy he'd confess to murder and threaten to off her. I love any scene with Emily and Conrad. It's like he can't be mad at her. He brought her down and he seemed almost...impressed. And I think he'll throw in with her to bring Victoria down. Did I miss something? How did Karinne go from thinking her last moment with her father was something special to thinking he was evil to the core in the next scene?
