  1. Chemistry is in the eye of the beholder as well, so what's golden for me may be garbage for someone else.
  2. Omigod they have that flavour? That's totally one of those good news/bad news things. Who's up for the spec that homeless Oliver has to move in with a member of Team Arrow? Probably Diggle but I'm hoping for Felicity....just saying.
  3. That's thorough research, and it's appreciated, I just don't necessarily trust him since I'm still smarting from The Tomorrow People and I have a natural aversion to trusting anyone who holds Julie Plec in such high regard. But you may well be right that's he's pro-Olicity and if so a big wine party and you're all invited {it's the cheap stuff though}. I'm a recovering Chlarker and recent Jastrid fan so I'm kind of programmed to take what I can get. It's sad really but it is what it is.
  4. icandigit Haha those are great, and thanks for the 'fear of god' quote.
  5. I don't understand the reference but I wish I did. :) That'd be cool. I kinda hated that movie, basically because of Gwen Stacy. I'm just saying that I'd love for Olicity to be endgame but I'm not getting my hopes up, however I do believe {unless they're Miles/Gough level stupid} that Olicity will have a romance next season and likely the one that Olicity fans {like myself} have been waiting for, unless of course they change course midstream {like Miles/Gough level stupid} undoing all the work they put into the relationship this season. I see where Olicity has been leading up to and hope they follow through, it just doesn't stop me from believing that they will ricochet back to Laurel as the ideal because hey...Tomorrow People. Once Berlanti has an idea in his head I reckon it's kind of hard to dissuade it, Dawson and Joey being another example.
  6. That'll be a relief, he really seemed insurmountable these past few episodes, it was scary in a way I don't quite like for my 8pm tv shows.
  7. I definitely would. I have started to think of her as superhuman, I mean she just does so many things, and so well that it's frankly...shocking. Almost appalling but I have such an appreciation for her that I wouldn't dare be appalled. I would like to know what her, SA and DR's cardio is like though. I wonder if it's primarily parkour/dance/martial arts or if they get any running, or elipitical in there.
  8. My point is that no matter how much or little any of us like it, yes Laurel IS the romantic lead. She's the one he stared at dreamily for a season and she's the one who's second on the call sheet. Eventually all actions will ricochet back to her whether we like it or not, the only way that doesn't happen is if she's written out of the show. They purposely cast someone as Dinah Lance knowing she is the love interest of Green Arrow, I don't understand how that can be argued, it just is. Their chemistry may not be everyone's cup of tea and Oliver and Felicity may fit better for many just as Oliver and Sara or Oliver and Shado fit better for many but they didn't cast either of those characters to be the main love interest of the show. You can't be a damsel in distress if you're not meant to be seen in a romantic sense. It's a trope, that's why it means so much that Felicity was supposed to be the "DiD" in the finale and my hopes are high that Olicity will at least be explored before we get back to LauRiver. But at the end of the very long day, Laurel is the female lead of the show, they gave her the jacket, I'm sure their final goal is to make Laurel and Oliver endgame. I'll still be watching until the end and happy for any Olicity scrappings in between but that doesn't change the EPs see it or change what they seem to be telling KC about her character Chances are good it may well be their own heads {and ours who want to watch the show play out} and the ratings and the cast and crews' jobs. If The Tomorrow People is any indication as far as the internet tells that show was cancelled after repeated efforts by Berlanti, Plec and co to shove Cara down the audience throat as a romantic lead, they didn't figure it out until it was too late and they got cancelled *sniff. I'd like to think they can learn from that but I highly doubt it. Really? You just gave me a happy. I swear he saves a smile just for her. I like that analogy, and it makes sense. He can always say it was to save the city but at the end of the day he didn't have to full-out say ILY. Slade would have got the message without it.
  9. Maybe he'll try to build a time machine and erase Oliver's very existence.
  10. True, I mean he's already hallucinating like he's on acid and the incarnation of whom he's seeing isn't even a fraction of the person he was in love with anyways. The guy's so far over the rainbow that he's basically living in a land of trolls. He needs death, and if he were any sort of man he would have offed himself because I don't know how he justifies putting a sword through either Moira or Thea for his own selfish reasons. He has a god complex but he's more like the devil but even the devil wasn't so singular in his goals, this dude is entirely solipsistic. The world only exists for Slade to play in, and no one else has a right to live because HE lost the woman he purports to love, whom btw wouldn't scarcely accept love from a bastard so fucked up and evil that he tortures and kills everything in and out of his path. Slade needs to grow up, be a man and put a bullet through his brain, I very rarely count characters as irredeemable but Slade IMO is leadiing that charge.
  11. You know what I think it's addictive and I think that watching SA in all his training and the various crazy ways they have him show Oliver's training on the show that it just turns into a bigger and bigger mountain. Once you've mastered the Salmon Ladder you want to do push-ups on your hands, once you do push-ups on your hands you want to do Wing Chun and that crazy bashing cement thing he was doing. I think it's possible with Caity that since she started with dance and the flexibility of that that it's like learning French, after you learn French you learn Spanish, then Italian, then Portuguese. Suddenly you're Maya Angelou and you know like 6 languages. It's a pretty cool way to go through life.
  12. What's that line about putting the fear of god into them until they talk "But we can try it your way..."
  13. I agree Zalyn I've been hitting the gym so much harder and consistently since watching Arrow. That kind of discipline is only inspiring and can only bring good things to your life.
  14. Ha! I love that line "they need to be put down" so true. Slade is the Old Yeller of Arrow. He's frothing and rabid and needs to be taken out back and shot.
  15. Yeah but you're fighting a losing battle. She's the romantic lead, it is what it is and it's not going to change, the only thing that's up in the air is how and when IMO.
  16. Yep, there's so much more there than just a cold exterior. Caity can play soft and empathetic, and hard and apathetic with equal fanfare. She's absolutely a triple if not quadruple threat.
  17. I'm not too concerned about that. I'm just thinking about things from a relationship standpoint, how her and Oliver will interact. I really think the nemesis route would work well. Maybe Oliver could refuse to let her help the group and that leads her to fight her own crusade and leads them to come to a head on a case by case basis. She could try to poach Roy and maybe Sin or something or hell even Thea. I'd be sick if she poached Thea.
  18. Ha! Thanks Sakura that was awesome. She's... *shakes head* I'm just speechless.
  19. Exactly! Innocent lives are at risk as long as Slade lives. One life doesn't outweigh the lives of many. How many people died in that riot never mind Oliver's nearest and dearest. In this case ending his reign of terror IS doing the right thing.
  20. I think Laurel is going to be romantically entangled with Oliver again, it's just a given. Probably not next season though but I'm confidant it'll happen, it is what it is and I'm fine with it. Chemistry is the problem so I'm just shooting out scenarios to resolve that problem. They're not going to drop KC from the show or recast (not that I want them to) so it's just a question of how to make LauRiver more palatable IMO. I don't want to watch a show without soapy goodness because then they'd be no romance or sexual encounters. No thanks. So I say, if she has a supposed attitude already then give her more of one. Make her badass and cause some real friction, KC can play badass awesomely, Ruby is proof of that. Let LauRiver fuck with each other. The EPs are married to the idea of Laurel/BC, that's not going to change as far as I can see so this is one way I can see it working successfully. The friction between Diggle and her is interesting as you said. I'd like to see that play out.
  21. Me too. My breaking point was when Sonny shot AJ. AJ Quartermaine played by Sean Kanan is my favourite soap character of all time. He's all I've ever cared about, him and his relationship with Michael, he is the point to which all my GH feelings reconcile. Once I found out he died out of RC's spite I was done. They'll never get me back, Julia Barrett could come back and shoot Sonny Corinthos dead, dead, dead and they still wouldn't get me back. I won't even watch Julexis scenes on youtube. In a year full of personal tragedies the last thing I needed was to turn on my tv and see the last grandchild of Edward Quartermaine gunned down by a slimy thug who outwore his welcome 10 fucking years ago. I've been in Mary Mae's Parlour of Peace for about 3months now, streamlining violent shows like Arrow and Agents of Shield. It's obviously a slow process, I guess I need more tranquility tea.
  22. I think James Scott has pretty much guaranteed with his exit that your worst fears will come true.
  23. Wooooow, no more EJ Dimera. I'll admit I find that far more shocking than AS leaving, I'd long hoped she'd try something different. Additionally I'm an Ejole shipper so this is doubly sad.
  24. That episode is what brought me to the show full-time ironically. DR is definitely leading man status.
  25. Oh I'm not going on faith, I'm just playing the odds. Olicity has had far more screentime than OliRel and it has climaxed in the finale scenes. They've had an arc filled with peaks and valleys so I'm hardly concerned. OliRel haven't had many scenes together and when they do it's always about something other than their relationship eg Sara, saving the city etc. That's why I'm hard pressed to understand concerns, I see no evidence of this, this season. OliRel have been a non-entity. Mind you, I'm a recovering soap-addict so I nothing would please me more relationship-wise than some Felicity/Oliver/Laurel soapy angst where the two women bring a totally different side of Oliver to the table. Someone mentioned Oliver/Laurel in an antagonistic snarks alot situation. I'm all for that. OliRel hatesex? I am so down. Ifhis relationship with Laurel played into this dark side of his character while Felicity played into his light side, that's a story I'd want to see. I've always been a fan of the duality of love and it's totally possible to love two people at once for two completely different reasons, one that's healthy and one not so healthy and both are very compelling to watch IMO.
