  1. I think a throwaway line or two would work. She could be relaying a story to Diggle or something and absently mention a date she went on. It can't be anything serious or it would undercut their progress in Unthinkable.
  2. I'm okay with it being fodder, she's not the star of the show Oliver is and he's the one I'm really invested in. I'm far more interested in what he thinks and does than anyone else. I'm all about the superhero so for me watching Felicity on a date unless it wakes Ollie up is of no interest to me. However I'm not opposed to a throwaway line or two about her dating or being social.
  3. I appreciate that too. It's very a+b=c which is definitely missing on other shows, they very much give the impression of "ooh I was born this way" I like the overall message on Arrow that hard work and sacrifice lead to results and you get that from all of Team Arrow so it's good.
  4. It is, and he's sussed out some great people that way. It's telling that he never told his Mother but he told Felicity, Diggle, Roy and I think the gamble paid off. To that end I think Thea is too much of a hothead for it to make sense to have told her, I wouldn't feel confident in it anyway. I'm feeling a lot of trust in Oliver's judgement watching these first two episodes and I love the "Failed this city" line, it instills a lot of faith almost instantly.
  5. Right?! That's how I feel, it's like they're saying "Okay you're back now, time toove on and grow up." As if he was just on vacation for 5years or something and Thea seeing his scars and screaming at himade it even worse. How can you see him rocking on the floor during a thunderstorm then see his scars everywhere, know that he watched your father die then STILL be an asshole. The only ones who weren't assholes to him these past two episodes IMO were Walter and Diggle which ironically he was difficult with but I think that's how Oliver finds out if he can trust you, by testing you.
  6. I don't think Oliver was a douche though.Mind you I'm only on the second episode of season 1 having seen the second half of season 2 but I would never address Oliver as Thea did. You thought your brother and Dad were both dead, yes that's sad but you're brother is now alive and you're upset because he's not being the brother you want him to be, he's not there for you. Seriously bitch fuck off, he has PTSD are you going to scream your lungs out at a vet returning from war because he's being emotionally distant and terrified of the sound of a door slamming? I know a little bit about surviving emotionally draining circumstances miles away from your family and it makes you distant, it just does and I didn't even have arrows flying at me and I still wanted alone time. To me her attitude is bitchy and selfish, I don't subscribe to the notion that he should suck it up so he can be emotionally supportive of her solipsistic ass. If that were my sister, I'd just end up hurling something at her so he's better than me. Yes Thea I'm sorry you thought your Bro and Dad were dead but as far as she knows Oliver watched the two people he cared about die right in front of him so, you know, balance. Watching the first two episodes us making it clear to me that Oliver is by far my favourite character on the show, by a landslide.
  7. Thanks guys, I'll look out for that.
  8. Okay, two episodes in and I still hate this character, she's Arrow's version of Dawn to me. Nothing makes her happy. Ugh! Blerg.
  9. Totally is. Although I just inhaled two chocolate granola bars ha! But I had en epicly good workout today complete with jumprope so to the victor go the granola spoils. Decided to take y'alls advice and watch Arrow from episode one this summer, on ep one now. The parkour moves he just did were awesome, no stunt double eh?
  10. Man of Steel sucked IMO and HC was the worst Superman I've ever seen (and I've seen 5 of them now) the DC franchise would only be lucky to have SA in a world where Ben Affleck is Batman they can't exactly afford to be elitist. Arrow has more street credit then Batman vs Superman anyway. I really want to see more DC characters show up, people with actual powers, it's a bit dull with Arrow, Black Canary (sans scream) Roy sans Mirakuru and now speedy and it's all just martial arts. I love martial arts but I'd love to see a season with an ally or villain with super-powers. It's one of the reasons why I'm so excited about the Flash.
  11. No thanks, I want my Olicity. In theory Ollie being alone makes sense and if he were a real person I'd say "Dude, you need a breather" but as it's here for my entertainment, I want Olicity, badly.
  12. Thanks for those articles Zalyn good stuff! Good to know about the abs, looks like I'll stick with my 30-40 crunches a day lol. Wow, Sakura yeah I saw a clip, I wish it was playing in my area.
  13. Have there been any other JLAers on this show besides Flash and Black Canary? I wonder if maybe Cyborg might show up or if Diggle could somehow inherit that in an "accident" or something.
  14. Oh cool! I'm small too! I liked the line Sara had about Wing Chun being perfect for small people "like us". How long have you been at Krav Maga?
  15. I don't think there's cause for alarm. TPTB recognise the incredible chemistry between the 3 of them. Together Oliver, Diggle, Felicity make the heart of the show, I think it's similar to Dean and Sam on SPN. If anything I think they added the baby to solidify Lyla's place in Team Arrow's orbit and to run a parallel when Oliver inevitably finds out he's a father.
  16. Haha! Yay! I mean sorry for the shame but...yay! Sakura is that Caity, and if so on what show? I've actually been keen to try Krav Maga since seeing it in Bourne Ultimatum. How do you like it? Re: Guys and pressure to be fit, thanks for that clip. I can definitely see it being a problem but not nearly as big as the pressure for women to be rail thin and frankly I'm glad they finally get to feel half the pressure women do. I think if you want to be in an action movie you'd better be jacked. I'm not paying $12 to see muffin tops and kangaroo pouches. So many movies and shows have Jack Blacks and Seth Organs paired up with women who look like Cobie Smulders (sp?) and Jennifer Aniston and it pisses me right off. It's one of the reasons I'm so psyched to see CL out there, hopefully with the hero worship I and others (I'm looking at you bravelittletoaster ) have for her it will help to change industry standards so we can start embracing strong female bodies instead of unhealthy skinny ones. I think CL is already spearheading that change as I think about SMG on Buffy all those years ago and she wouldn't cut it on Arrow now even with her martial arts background because she just looks so frail. Even Cara on The Tomorrow People had a healthier looking body type than her and you have people like the girl from Big Bang Theory who has guns like what and I think it's really making a difference. I just balk when I see bodytypes like SMG on the cover of SELF promoting a seemingly unhealthy body type as fit. I really think this show should get everybody a Women's/Men's Health cover shoot, I think it would do amazing things for the show and fitness in general.
  17. The other day I saw a 60 odd year old woman working the kettle ball like a beast, it's what introduced me to kettle balls actually. :) Plus I've found watching Arrow while on the treadmill improves the experience of the show and the workout ha!
  18. Nah dude, just kill yourself in the gym instead. I think these guys are all doing martial arts/strict diets/protein shakes, the works. Surprised none of them have been on the cover of Men's/Women's Health as yet, or maybe the have and I just haven't seen them. Hell they could do a cast issue exclusive, if I were the shows PR I'd get on that stat. If gymrats knew about this show they'd never have to worry about ratings again. BTW thanks Sakura for that pic.
  19. That would piss me right off if I were her. Kinda like your former boyfriend discovering he was gay after being with you, yeah rah rah good for him but it doesn't make it any less humiliating on this side of the fence. I hope there's some push back from Laurel on that side of things.
  20. I'm pretty sure she's going to be back. She reminds me of Green Arrow on Smallville (ironically) he went through a dark time too on that show and there was a time when I could really only tolerate Clark on the show because he was their calling him out and being the better hero IMO. That's how I feel about Sara, I'm more often aligned with her idea of justice and what's right and wrong than Oliver's. I didn't necessarily agree with her view on Roy but I bet Roy would have agreed especially when he knew how close he came to hurting Thea.
  21. Caity Lotz posted a pic on her instagram of what I presume is her backyard and her laptop, with the caption that she was working whilst hummingbirds battled each other. Wonder if she's working out a script or just sussing through opportunities...
