Say what? But word up to ghosts, but I would add to that, my dog gets a say if alerting me to ghosts, or rotting corpses. I do not want to live in a serial killer house. LMAO @ the idea of a hamburger telenovela -

Will Kenya get an apology? (S7 spoiler)
RealityGal replied to badbolocolo's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
The only thing that I would say to that, is that a person knows that if they want camera time their best bet is to engage in conflict. I think the producers are looking to cast people with an eye as to who will be willing to engage in conflict (bad guys) and who will be the "good guys." The show IMO, revolves around drama, personality and conflict. And even Marilu Henner, IIRC got into some drama, I think with that guy that used to be the Hulk. Arsenio got into it with that girl Audrey from Danity Kane, and Lisa Rinna also had conflict (although I can't remember with who). So even the "good guys" have conflict in CA, so I think that the producers cast the show for conflict. And so I wouldn't take "getting into it" with fellow castmates as any great sign of really anything, because I think that's what CA is about. In fact, Donald Trump himself in the boardroom encourages it. I think that Kenya mostly plays a character on RHOA, and I think she was cast to play that character on CA. I think that personality is cast every year on CA, whether they know it or not. In the case of Lisa Lampenelli, I get the impression she had said something about Donald Trump that he didn't like, and he was on a warpath with her. She said what she said, but I don't think she realized what a horrible, horrible edit she would get. I think Stephen Baldwin wanted airtime, and may just naturally have douche like tendencies. I think Kenya probably knows she was cast on CA to do exactly what she does on RHOA. And I, personally, am okay with that. CA would be boring as hell if it was just Bret Michaels playing against Aresenio Hall, and everyone was sitting in a circle holding hands and singing songs. -
Thats the thing, they aren't back east. If they were, one could reasonably argue that Eva has to accept a lower place in society, especially in terms of the job she has. But they aren't, they are in the west. Where no one seems to have that much going on, most residents of Cheyenne are men escaping warrants, or otherwise on the bottom rung of society. There are still rules for women, but there don't seem to be a ton of them, or at least not as many as there would be say, in New York. A woman owns the hotel, another one runs the newspaper, a third one runs the local church. Given that time period, none of that would have been acceptable in the East, but given the fact that the super strict social rules don't seem to apply to the West, someone like Eva has been able to befriend and work for Durant. So, she doesn't have to sit in a casino all day if she doesn't want to. But I think she wants to.

I agree, poor planning to give Pocket Ear the night off with no replacement. Maybe scalp guy had the flu, or tooth puller came down with a case of food poisoning. Makes total sense about Nucky wanting to be Joe Kennedy. I wouldn't have picked that up from the episode alone, but it makes sense. Mrs. AR seems very wiley to me. I like her, but its possible that she is sitting on an emergency pile of cash and wants the cash that was in that account. Although, I've heard it said that sometimes gamblers don't really think about the long term, or the eventuality that something bad could happen, but I agree, AR seemed much more contemplative.

holy moley - those models look rough! Was it the Mary Kay makeup? One of Kini's was also just way too skinny, and I say that having looked at all the other models who were also skinny, but there was that one in the black dress that almost looked like she might have scurvy or something. I'm surprised I didn't like his collection more. I didn't really like anyone's collection, although I could pick out at least 1-2 things I liked in most collections. My favorite collection was Char's. And add me to the people who wish they all had to have that "wow!" piece. It was almost always a gown, and it was always my favorite part. Some of the collections look like they just sort of slapped some clothes on the nearest homeless woman. And what the hell was up with the eyes on Alexander's models? That made an already bad situation worse.

Pocket Ear may have had the day off. I mean a man needs a day of rest to tend to his ears and what not.

I'm not sure if thats how Chalky sees it. I thought it was Chalky that set up the hit on Narcisse?

Somewhere, someone in the vast Greco car seat empire is reading your post and running to their boss with the next new thing. My parents will be thanking you in a few years when the product is on the market and I buy them each one for their birthday. I personally look forward to the day when none of us will be driving on the factory provided car seat. We will just have one car seat from birth to death. It will be epic! -
I liked him in the Boiler Room. But now I'm in a quandry, I think Giovanni Ribisi is cute, I think Alexander looks like a slack jawed yokel, but they do have similar facial features.....so confused! ETA: I just googled Giovanni Ribisi, he currently has a mustache and a soul patch of some variety. I think I'm over my confusion.

Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to quetzal's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood
This show! I actually took some notes, but damn I know I'll miss something, these people are nuts! 1. Picture tattoos - has no one told these people that they can take pictures now? There is no need to tattoo someones face to your body, you can take a picture, hell, Olson Mills has made an entire company out of taking pictures of kids, you would think that people who constantly post shit to Instagram and then get caught for the same pictures would realize that a picture is also forever. Do you think its gonna be some sort of point of pride for your kid when his friends come over and see his infant face tattooed on your bicep? Come on now man! 2. Young Berg and Hazel-E - I didn't realize it was Young Berg that made that comment about dark skinned girls, I guess he prefers light skin women who look like drag queens. They can have him, because from where I sit, some dude that little, pretty in the face, who wants to talk a lot of shit probably had some questionable times if he was ever in jail. I also don't go for guys that want to brag about putting it in a different woman every day of the week, that sounds like a rare STD just waiting to happen. And can men just stop with face tattoos....ugh. 3. Hazel - E - she also looks like a dude. I feel sorry for her, but damn, I feel sorrier for myself have to watch her try to show off her stomach in belly shirts. Please, either go see a trainer, or wear a tee shirt. 4. Moniece - once again managed to make an ass of herself. I wouldn't have put up with her shit for even a minute, but I think Fizz's girlfriend is probably trying to get on the show. I couldn't believe she was honestly suggesting that this girl has to call her every time she is with her son, bitch, you didn't even know about her and they had been dating for two years, that is how little you are involved in your own sons life! And then to start talking shit about how she calls to see where her son is every night as if that qualifies her for mother of the year. Say what? I wish I knew what she did to lose custody, because in the state of California, I'm betting she did something awful for them to give full custody to Fizz. And it looks like in the preview Fizz is actually going to get on Amanda.....bitch run, run from the situation, run fast. 5. Tierra - First off, why does everything have to be a party? A tattoo removal party so everyone can see your shame. Second, in what universe is adding another tattoo to an existing one considered tattoo removal? Its the exact opposite of removal, its adding more shit on! 6. Ray J - awww, he took out a short term lease on another vehicle! Oh yeah, I'm sure there were so many investors lining up to invest in "Ray-J.com" or whatever. Take a seat Ray J. Although I was dying when he showed up out of nowhere with that box of clothes. That was one of the best scenes in a Love and Hip Hop anywhere! Hot damn, that was funny. 7. Nikki - is that her name? Anyways, I'm always suspicious of people who refer to themselves or their family as an empire, and then start to tell you that they are super smart and talented. Res Ipsa Loquiter....let the thing speak for itself. If you're smart, people will see it. If you have an empire, people will see it. If you're ridiculous enough to wear a full length ballgown in the middle of the fucking day to go shopping, people will see it. She also looks like a dude. She is also wildly self centered....its not that someone else is posting instagram pictures because they are happy about their relationship, it must be because they want to fuck with you. Say what? 8. Mally Mal - sad to say, but I kinda get his appeal. He is definitely not attractive, but he exactly the sort of soft, fat teddy bear that should make you feel comfortable. But looks like he is a total player. Good for him, these girls are begging to get played. 9. Yesi Ortiz - first off, I don't believe for a second she is sad to be showing Nia those pictures of Solja Boy, I think she was absolutely delighted to be surprising her with them and getting her reaction live on the air. Stop fronting. Second, they need to stop flashing those old promotional pictures of her, she isn't a bad looking woman, but she has clearly gained some weight since they were taken. But I thought she was going to be part of the main cast, it barely looks like she is going to make an appearance! 10. Solja Boy - what the hell kind of an explanation was that! "Well, she put the pictures on her instagram, I didn't put them on mine!" WTF? Whatever is in the picture is what happened, no matter whose instagram its on! 11. I like that your iPad is okay with "Soljack" but refuses to even work with "Soulja Boy" -
I've read the FB post from Fade and from Korina, and to some degree I wonder if Fade's post may not result from Sandaya talking to him about feeling persecuted. I remember him taking up for Amanda after she went to tell him her side of the story about how Korina and Char were "picking on her." I think he is one of those people who may just take what a person tells him at face value, and feel sympathy/empathy for them automatically without critically questioning the comment, who it is coming from, or what the other side of the story may be. Or it just be that Sandaya has been unfairly portrayed. But, I don't think so, IMO, it seemed like the editors were trying to work in her favor. She was shown as the plucky girl, with all the fashion forward idea who was a victim of the "mean girls," she handled everything with a quiet grace and a smile. In fact, the first time I think they ever showed her step out of that role was with Hernan when she flipped him the bird. I felt like she was getting the Patricia edit. As for Korina, she can fucking suck it. I'm absolutely done with her. Someone posted her FB post For one, the only reason this self absorbed bitch is on TV is because of PR fans, so she doesn't need to talk shit about anyone. Fuck her, and the Joker face she rode in on. And to assume that anyone cares enough about her, or her relationship with anyone to feel "dismay" over her is just a further sign that she thinks she is much more important than she is. Furthermore, the fans ONLY have to go off of what is shown on the show, if you don't like the way you are being portrayed, you need to take it up with the producers, don't get mad at the viewers for believing what they are shown on the show. But of course, its not her fault for saying negative things, its not the producers fault for misrepresenting her, its the audience's fault for not somehow divining what the hell is in her mind, and how its somehow different from what she says in the TH and how she behaves on the show. Bitch, bye!

You were assigned a gift? I'm sure the specifics of that story must make it much better than how my mind is currently reading it. And you were assigned a $45 gift for a child? I just...wow, I know the backstory must make that sound better than it sounds in my head. :) Can they please also start a campaign to ask Alexander to keep his mouth shut? Because I am all about that campaign. But now its all making sense, but frankly, if you're not really a fan favorite, I don't see what the point is. I mean, fan favorite only comes with some prestige, IMO, if there is a situation in which maybe the judges didn't like you, but all the fans really did and people voted you fan favorite because they loved your design. But, without that, its pretty much a popularity contest, so where is the joy in rigging a popularity contest? And thats whats good about a message board, while I can be passionate, I know that its good to have both points of view on any issue. And in fact, if anything, it makes me think through my own perspective. And where it comes to personalities, there will be disagreement. But what I do like about this forum is that I think most everyone handles the disagreements with respect. I think that is so freaking cool, because when they were talking about it on the documentary I was watching I thought that was just the neatest thing. The idea of repurposing in such a creative way is so neat to me. And then to make it even cooler was when the companies realized that this was happening and started to make the designs on the bags knowing that they would be used for clothing. I'm not sure who had the depression era doll, but that would have been something so neat to do.

oh, I agree. I don't care what she is thinking, I'm tired of her constant digs to Cullen about how Elam went after him. Elam was a grown ass man, how can Cullen be responsible for whatever he did? I'm hoping something gets her out of her funk.

LMAO! I can't totally blame you, because I just keep wondering if there is something these women see in him. If you don't judge me for watching this show, how can I judge you for loving little Ray-J! He is like a little pocket sized man! He is like 5 inches from being a black leprechaun! -

Car seat lobbyists! -
Life normally puts adults in situations and pairings that they would rather not have. Most adults grin and bear it and try to have a positive attitude. Most do not insist that they must be themselves in every single situation, no matter whose feelings get hurt, no one congratulates themselves for having being themselves even when someone else was clearly hurt or when they have been hurtful. To me, thats behaving like a child. And while, its always been up for debate, she made a tee shirt, which Nina specifically told her not to do. I was glad they aufed her for that, because I don't think anyone should be above the rules. And all she did was whine about it, well, maybe if she had followed the rules, she wouldn't have been in that position, so, IMO, she could go suck it. If what a tee-shirt is is open for interpretation, then why even do something in the ballpark of a tee shirt? Why? Because Michelle wanted to do whatever she wanted to do, and she found it unfair to be dinged for not following the rules. Once again, that idea that what is of paramount importance, at all times, is that Michelle is keeping it real. And god forbid anyone else keep it real and tell her that she didn't follow the rules so she is out. As for the clothing, I wouldn't wear Michelle or Patricia's clothing, but if I was given the option of naked or having to pick, I would pick Patricia because I wouldn't even want to support Michelle.

Oh, I don't think Eva likes what she is doing, but I don't think she would like anything. To some degree, I think she may be trying to punish herself for what she did to Elam. I hate her constantly blaming Cullen, but I do think that part of that is her trying to shift her own tremendous guilt.

She proved that she was a capable health care provider, which is why she worked directly for Durant. What is any woman's place in an area like that. Except for the job of hooker every other job was set up for men, but women have found a place. When Ruth showed up on the scene, her father was in charge of the church. I think newspaper lady showed up with a man, and then just fell into staying and starting a newspaper. Lilly Bell came with her husband. So I don't think its really been who Eva is, her place/challenge is the same as with any woman in the area as far as I can see. I think Eva is doing what she wants to do, and if she wanted to do something different she easily could. She has the backing of Durant, and that would be enough. I think if there was a strong "virtue rules" attached to women, I don't think Durant would have ever hired Eva to do anything on his behalf. I also don't think Eva's husband would have agreed to marry her after she had been with Elam.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

In a world where kids can get high off of whip cream, which can be bought at the grocery store I think that parents should probably focus more on what is making their kid want to get high more than trying to wipe everything off the face of the earth that can get a kid high. But congrats on your success with e-cigs! -
She worked directly for Durant, who was in charge of the entire town. She has shown her skill as a nurse/healer, and I have to think that no matter what, people enjoy living, even if the person helping them has slept with a black man. I think Durant offered to get her another job as well. Ruth seems like a person hellbent on not being judgmental, and I think I've seen Eva in church. But she did work directly for Durant and is someone he has always looked out for. I think gambling is her preferred profession, for her own reasons. While I think the time period is important, I think its also important to remember that it was the West, and the laws were not as strict, and a lot of people who decided to head west did so because they simply could not be in the East, or they wanted a fresh start away from the South.

Hey, word up to the car seat industry for creating a need. I think I was in a car seat for maybe the first two scenes when I was growing up. With a little marketing directed at helicopter moms I could totally see a car seat for 17 year olds. -
I enjoyed this episode.... 1. Margaret - ugh, why can't she ever get caught in some gunfire. There is enough of it going around, geez. But I wonder how it will be between her and Sally, or how that will work? Her character has always annoyed me and struck me as a total naggy, judgmental shrew. 2. Widow Rothstien - I like her, hard as nails, and not falling for any of Margaret's sweet talk. Margaret knows exactly how to get money, but just doesn't want to. 3. Narcassie - I can't believe he was that stupid, did he really think there wouldn't be any consequences for throwing out Lucky Luciano and Bugsy Segall? Is he thinking that the FBI will protect him? Nothing will make me happier than to see Chalky fully take him down. 4. Chalky - I wonder how well he knew that guy before they escaped? I actually don't think that his actions, up to this point have made a future impossible. I'm under the impression that record keeping back then was sub par at best. So, he escaped the chain gang, but did they have a very good booking photo of him to make a wanted poster? If so, how far will the poster get, I'm not sure if he was in jail on federal or state charges, but it seems like they escaped from somewhere in the south. How far can wanted posters and fugitive information go for a state crime and a fugitive from state justice. I mean, I suppose once a prisoner escapes state custody, it probably turns into a federal case, but still. The women they robbed didn't know who they were, except to know that Chalky had a daughter named Maribel. But my biggest question is...does Chalky even want to have a future? He pretty much abandoned his family and I don't know that he will ever get through the guilt he has from killing his daughter. I feel like Chalky may just want to kill Narcaisse and be done with everything else. 5. Joseph Kennedy - I like him too! I can't figure what his game was with the soda vs. liquor thing. I don't drink either, but I don't mind if anyone else does, so if I sense someone changing their drink order because they are doing so to make me feel more comfortable, I will insist that they have whatever drink they want. He seemed totally fine with Nucky changing his order to a non liquor drink too, even though he seemed to know that Nucky drank, and wanted a drink. So did he really think that Nucky shouldn't drink because of all the judgments of the Irish, or did he just want to see how far Nucky would go to make him feel like they were on the same page. And I love the idea of a totally dry bootlegger!

Olivia Pope: Her White Hat is Bigger Than Yours
RealityGal replied to Rhondinella's topic in Scandal [V]
She hasn't hired an acting coach in the three seasons that Scandal has been on the air. She apparently isn't all that invested in learning to act. First episode of last season I finally just gave up, I was toughing it out right up until she tried to do a manic laugh and then I was just done and I could watch no more. No more watching her attempt to drink wine like its giving her strength and sustenance, no more of her awful acting. Its a great show, but they can't get rid of the lead and she is just that bad. I'm glad to see Viola Davis as a strong black female lead on a show. It also looks like they are giving her character a killer wardrobe so yay! -
Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta - General Discussion

I feel like "engaged" is reality TV code for "hanging out together to get some attention from the press" I'll be shocked if those two get married. I mean isn't Erica Mena into the ladies?
