  1. I feel exactly the same, so I won't post anything other than I am so glad we got to see a Howler.
  2. I seriously cannot handle this show. Casting is all wrong, a complete joke. I feel like they could've made it so more interesting. I was expecting conflict and things of that nature, but the extremes of the people on this show is ridiculous to the point where I can't watch it - I got through the first two episodes by the grace of God and switching channels every couple of minutes. I have never had to do that before. I'm not sure if I'll be tuning in, but I will certainly be haunting these forums.
  3. Thank you for finding the new time! I've been looking everywhere for it and all I came up with were rehashes of Q's attack on Nuala. I actually love this show and I'm so relieved it wasn't cancelled, though I'm a little annoyed at the switch (because now I have to wait longer!).
  4. I've never been a big fan of Ben, but I felt awful for him in this episode. I feel like he's probably the joke of the family and the Duggars secretly laugh at him behind his back. He's just a young man (I sound like my granny) and is wasting his life pining after Jessa so much that he's falling into a trap. It makes me terribly sad. I have always loved Josh and Anna's kids. I think Kynzie is so polite and sweet and I'm glad someone's looking after Jordyn. Maybe they bond over the random Ys in their names. Mother's Day, Shmother's Day. That was awkward beyond belief. Run, Jana, run!! Also - don't think I saw JD, Joe, or Josiah at all. Maybe I missed 'em.
  5. I like Jackson and always have. He's a little ham, but as PP said, he has a funny way of putting things. I'm glad they're putting in some shots of the Howlers. This season is going to be pretty boring if they just focus on Jill and Jessa, seeing how we already know a lot of that information.
  6. I want to "fellowship" with my old college buddies, sitting on the beach and drinking wine, then. Who needs a real job?
  7. Zach and Whitney's baby registry has mostly practical things. Looks like Winnie the Pooh is the theme, which is also practical for the first child. It's neutral enough for boys or girls, so they could get good use out of it. Good on them.
  8. I honestly feel that for Jana to not have married by now, it has to be JBoob's and JChelle's doing. She is pretty, she's "sweet" and shy and doesn't talk much (that we see), and everyone knows she can take care of kids. Why wouldn't a nice fundy boy or his family have pushed courtship? Especially in a celebrity family like the Duggars. I'm not buying it. There has to be intervention in there somewhere. I don't think JD is going to stay fundy and if he does, it will only be in appearances. Maybe he and Jana are going to make a run for it. One can hope. I live in Maryland. I'll be Jana's safehouse if she's still with Smugz.
  9. I'm having difficulty watching these throwbacks. I've watched the old specials and I can't believe how much I adored this family even back then. I take comfort in the fact that I was a young girl and didn't know better. I am enjoying the random shots of present-day Duggars watching (when they show them in the corner of the screen as they watch the special). It's so awkward. The girls have smiles plastered to their faces, but it doesn't look real. I can only imagine they're remembering the outfits and how it was when there were 17 people living in a teensy house. And Josh!! He certainly has changed, hasn't he? He's an eager McBeaver in the specials. The evolution of this family over the last 10 years is so riveting.
  10. I'm on the fence about whether the women were fake or not. I think a lot of it was true, especially the staff hating the owners. I couldn't understand why the "general manager" didn't just stay away. I kind of understand, though, because I worked in a hellish restaurant and the other staff becomes bonded when the manager and owners suck. But I feel in my heart of hearts that the two daughters were incredibly spoiled, immature women. It makes me sad that they can "run" a hotel. I wish some of the staff would write something or give an interview about it. I want to know what it's really like to work there.
  11. I wish we would see more of the hotel reno, a la Hotel Impossible, but that's just not Gordon's thing, maybe? I don't imagine the owner stayed out of the kitchen. If his employees couldn't get a paycheck, how could they keep the owner in check? I agree, going with the dog resort theme was probably the best idea. I know they'd make a killing, especially for the city evacuees at certain times of the year. Not much else to say, but each episode has the exact same formula.
  12. I couldn't believe Q. I think he's such an asshole. And what's he doing travelling around with these young kids? Of course he's not going to like the way they act - they're over a decade younger! He blows my mind. And Irene is so fake. I can't look at her. Boo. I liked seeing the girls' relationship with one another. After the Q incident where they all hugged, they could be any group of teen BFFs. They seem to genuinely like each other and get along. I feel like all of them, except Q, get along and I would most definitely hang out with them IRL. I liked the random dude that drove them to LA and back. That was so nice of him, though I'm sure he got paid. Tamara's acting was kind of painful to watch. I agree with PP - I don't think she really wants to act, just wants to be famous. Mary and Frank are still my fave. I wonder what's going down with Mary's BF. Guess we shall see.
  13. I think it was Jordyn for the girls, but the chunk of boys from Jed and Jer down to Justin got the short end of the stick. They're never seen as individuals, just a hulking mess of noise and dirt. I wish we would see more of each individual kid.
  14. I really just couldn't even focus on anything in this episode. I was so confused. The secretary of state or whatever is the worst character. I just can't stand her. Kyle's stay on the farm with his lady friend was cute. It would be nice to see a family. I was actually like "wtf bitch" when Dr Main Character said "that was fast". And how does she not know how to treat a child? Has the world gone mad without little ones around? Stupid episode. Did not enjoy.
  15. Chelsea - Not much to say about her. I'm sick of hearing about the license nonesense. Figure it out, girl. Kailyn - I think she's really mean to Javi. Well, pretty much mean to everyone. She enjoyed herself and had a fun night out, which I'm sure she needed. Who are these friends?! I feel like we've never seen any of them before. Leah - Thousands of dollars on makeup for your "business". Eh, ok. Maybe next time you don't do it the night before you buy 3k worth of appliances and, I don't know, CONSULT YOUR HUSBAND! Jenelle - No. Just no. All in all, a pretty average episode. I only managed to hate myself three times for watching the show and thanked the lord roughly 8 trillion times that I'm not them.
  16. As much as I love Gordon, I may have to quit watching as well. My sister and I dvr'ed it and at the end, we were like "wtf, that was barely anything". Which is true. I feel like it was an hour of baloney. With that in mind, I can't fathom how the lodge lasted as long as it did. Pothead Dad and Stoner Son chilled with their friends, Chef Son made some money, and poor mom was left with pretty much nothing but scraps and cleaning up after the others. If I was her, I'd have run off a long time ago. But I guess family ties are strong. I couldn't believe all the stains, though, and GR's "mosaic of semen" had me rolling with laughter and gagging at the gross factor. It was a pretty location and a beautiful building, though. I hope they're doing better.
  17. I actually like this show, even if it is fake. I think each of the five chosen are pretty interesting people. When they went to the beach in episode 2, I couldn't help but laugh at their happiness. I'll be tuning in, that's for sure. I will be disappointed, though, if this is totally fake. I'm more emotionally invested in these kids (who are actually my age or older!) than I have been in any other tv show in a long time, especially a TLC one to boot! Real or not, I hope they find what they're looking for.
  18. Is it bad that I can't even remember what happened? I think I've blocked it on purpose. I think the writers are trying hard to get us enthralled, but it's too overwhelming and completely underwhelming. There's so much going on, but nothing really going on. I feel like, maybe, they should've done a little more character development before all hell broke loose. Maybe show, not tell. As it happens, I actually did make tea and come back later and still knew what was going on. I have a feeling this is going to be a bigger mess than I thought, but I'm still going to watch.
  19. The only reason I could think of as to why Darius would have the egg woman killed is 'cause ALIENS. But seriously, I hadn't even heard of this show and randomly caught it on repeat. I think the premise is interesting, but I think I'm not going to enjoy how it's executed. Like PP said, I don't find the lady doctor to be someone I can get behind. I like Kyle (and Elvis!!) and the other parent of the little girl. I think it's interesting how the mother at the school reported Kyle - I think they could go into more detail about society's perception of the Last Six and their parents. Jealousy rules all type of thing. I think at this point, they might funnel the people in the dying industries (things marketed for babies and young children) into science or something of the sort. What else would they have going for them? I think they would be doing extensive testing on the few children left in the world, why they were born and so many potential children weren't. I'm a conspiracy theorist by nature, so I'm thinking Darius is behind some huge evil scheme or is taking bribes. Maybe he had egg woman killed so other nations don't get ahold of her, and therefore her eggs. I'm tuning in. For better, or for worse. ETA: I just realized how much money could be made off fertility. Fertility doctors, meds, treatments, charting supplies, ovulation predictors, pregnancy tests, support groups, even. You could make a killing. I bet that's where all those companies turned to.
  20. Well, this episode was depressing. And did it both anyone else how they pronounced Monticello? I really hope they managed to turn this place around. ETA: I guess they sort of did? At least enough to stay open. I didn't like the owner, but I felt bad for him in some sick, twisted way. I loved the staff to infinity and beyond. I thought they were so likeable.
  21. I never understand why people don't listen to his advice and this excerpt makes it clear that he really knows what he's talking about. Besides that fact, why would people ask to be on the show and then not follow his advice? Are they looking for free stuff or publicity or what? smh
  22. Count me in with the earworm crowd. I've been singing it for a week. I thought Cali was kind of a sad, isolated woman, but she also seemed like she didn't notice or care. She was definitely not a hotel owner. She should go into lounge singing, if it's what she loves. Or at least be a Cher cover artist. That pool area was to die for. I agree with PP about turning it into a spa or retreat.
  23. Straight up lol'ed at PP who thought the creature was a sting ray, 'cause I did, too. This season was really, really strange and my sister and I had to turn to each other frequently and say "wth did we just watch" before putting the next episode on. Olivia and Norman I could've gone the whole season without seeing. I like Peter, Destiny, and Andreas (?). The baby was cute, Miranda was weird, and Roman was emo. All in all, pretty entertaining, if not high quality. I'm not sure if this is confirmed, but there will be only one more season? I think the tropers said it was planned as a trilogy. I hope they wrap it up in the third season, as I'm not sure I can handle any more recycled plot. But, as I said, it was entertaining. I loved Shelly's side plot as well as Price's. The Russian doctor I could've done without. I think she was just there for some Olivia action and I felt she was kind of useless - I didn't really care about her. I'll say that the sting ray doctor was probably the best. I honestly didn't see that coming.
