  1. Totally agree on Aaron and Jasmine. It would have been hard to beat Fik-Shun and Amy, but I think Aaron and Jasmine could have pulled it off if Aaron hadn't injured himself. He did lose a step due to the injury, although he did great by continuing in spite of it. That really was a great season. I loved Aaron and Jasmine and Paul and Makenzie. Fik-Shun and Amy were good, but I preferred the other 2 couples more.
  2. Johnny said she palmed it. The devices activated when Louella twisted the beads. The elevator got stuck within range of her signal. When they got the elevator moving, it moved out of range of her signal. She then turned off the seed in Johnny. Louella said they embedded in the lining of the stomach. Presumably a doctor could remove the seeds once they got to a hospital.
  3. I've been trying to rank the who can be the possible half Revenant. This is based on the idea that the H/R is already on the show. Wynona - She can't be the chosen one, potentially the mother of a Half-Revenant AND a H/R herself. I don't think they will make her that special. Close to 0% Doc, and Dolls - Same reasons as Wynona, they are already too special to have H/R added on. Close to 0% Rosita - It's possible that she's claiming to be a Revenant but is covering her H/R status. Pros: How did a woman who died in the 1800s get not one but 2 PHDs all while being unable to leave Purgatory? Online classes is possible, but wow! She seems to be an ethical Revenant. They were clear with Bobo that Hell burns any goodness out of a person. Cons: The Revenant reveal is so big that I don't see a reason to change it. 45% chance. The Revenant reveal is a big thing to change Jeremy- He's a new character this year, after they added the idea of the H/R. Pros: with Rosita they have established that Revenants can be scientists and well educated. Cons: He isn't important enough of a character and he's comic relief, not a big one to be H/R. 10% chance Mercedes - Another character added this season. Pros - she survived having her face removed, so girl has something special. Cons: She's been off screen most of the season. Not important enough 20% chance Nicole - Pros: It would be a shock, to say the least. Cons: She really is our normal person POV character. It would interfere with her relationship with Waverly and people LOVE the Waverly relationship. 30% chance only for the shock value. Waverly - Pros: They have strongly hinted at it all season. Something in the DNA test made her think she isn't fully human or at least isn't Wynona's full sister. Cons: It's too obvious there would need to be a twist. 75% chance. I'm guessing it is Waverly and the twist will be that she IS an Earp. Wade slept with a Revenant and got her pregnant. Possible bigger twist Rosita being Waverly's mother.
  4. Maybe it only effects full Revenants? It actually is a clue that Waverly isn't the half Revenant. That does leave the question of who is.
  5. So Mayko Nguyen was pregnant IRL. They did a pretty good job of covering all in all. Sci Fi had two series with pregnant actresses that they had to work around.
  6. The winning team got immunity, so there was never a chance for any of them to go home. Generally I think the right one went home, but IIRC, once or twice I thought that it was close between the worst on the losing team and the worse on the winning team.
  7. Masterpiece Studio podcast posted Al Weaver’s Leonard Finch Is Still Learning to Love Himself
  8. I really feel for Leonard. It seemed he was perfectly willing to work to "avoid the temptations of the flesh". resist his urges and live a celibate life. Then the Bishop basically tells him that too many people have sussed out that he is gay and made a mistake early on, so his ONLY recourse is to marry and have a family. I honestly believe he wouldn't have even considered leading on that sweet girl (whose name I'm blanking on) is the Bishop hadn't basically ordered him to go find a beard or either never advance in the Church or even lose his job. He's in a horrible, horrible position and he's trying to make it work with a woman he likes, cares for, who doesn't have other options. The only problem is he doesn't want her sexually. Yes, he could tell her his orientation, but that risks her freaking out and outing him. I do believe, if he actually marries her, he will do his best to make the marriage work and be a good husband, even if the marriage is relatively sexless. Sidney and Amanda leave me going between boredom and anger. I watched season one an was completely uninterested in their "star crossed" love. I missed season two and when season three started, all I could think is are they STILL angsting about that boring dead relationship? Geordie and Margaret just make me mad. I want to punch Geordie or better yet, have Cathy find out, get the proof that Amanda would have to manufacture, and then divorce his cheating ass. I'm not thrilled that Margaret is involved with him, but since I think if she does get pregnant, Geordie will suddenly realize that she isn't the great, exciting, sexy affair, but is the same as Cathy, about to become a boring wife and mother. Then he will probably dump her because he already has a boring wife and he doesn't need another, younger one.
  9. Opening number for the Academy July 17
  10. Rumor has it that Clara will return for the Christmas special. Yay, for the Clara lovers out there, although I am not one of them.
  11. Mjs Big Blog just listed finalists and their paired mentors.
  12. To be fair, I've been on a couple of boards where he is just getting SLAMMED for the (rather innocuous) comment. People are swearing up and down that they will not watch the show. Nigel really does want to keep this show on the air, so he's partly doing what he needs to in order to make that happen.
  13. He was my favorite too, so I am sad right now. I'm rooting for Emily to take it all now.
  14. Well, Margo did offer to get pregnant and give up that child to seal the deal, but the fairies said they wanted Fen's child. So, I suspect that the Fairies want that child, even if it's not Elliot's OR if they really want a royal child, they may make Margot fulfill her original offer.
  15. It's really hard to say. There are regional, cultural and even familial differences in language. When my Dad remarried my step-family all said they put things up, when everyone I knew put them away. They announced they could care less, when everyone I knew couldn't care less. Even today the terms for carbonated soft drinks range from pop to soda to coke to something else. It's really hard to say something wasn't being used used as a colloquialism by some people.
  16. I think the subtle clue is not that Rebecca lied about dating the Keyboardist, but that she felt she needed to lie about it. She said she knew Jack "would go crazy", not just object to her going on tour, so this sounds like an underlying problem. We've seen Jack as pretty perfect, but I suspect there is more going on in their background. Maybe we are about to start seeing his flaws.
  17. This. No kid, even back in the 80s and 90s was unaware that they were heavy. Having your parents constantly point it out only makes food a bigger issue. As to why Kate was heavy and the boys weren't, we have been getting some studies that indicate that weight can be tied to things that are not behavior related. One study indicates that overweight may be influenced by our gut bacteria. Another study correlates a certain virus with being overweight. When society then blames an overweight person for being overweight, that can lead to stress eating which makes the problem worse. Having a parent who focuses on weight can have the same effect. Bedazzling has been around for a while. It would come and go as a fad.
  18. Well, kids often internalize and relive the patterns they see in their parents. Jack is paternalistic and makes decisions without input from Rebecca. Even in the pilot, he was the one who wanted to adopt Randal. Rebecca had 1) Just gone through labor, which saps your strength and doesn't leave you wanting to make decisions. 2) Just gone into distress during labor, needing medical intervention, which again does not leave you in a good state to make decisions. 3) Just had a child she was carrying DIE during labor, another overwhelming experience and a not a good time to make life changing decisions. Jack spends the episode saying we came in with three children and we are leaving with three children and springs the abandoned Randal on her and tells her they should adopt him. So I had a few qualms right there. Changing his job, even though it was to make more money for the family, without discussing it with Rebecca is another instance of Jack making unilateral decisions. Jack is a great father and, thus far, a good husband, although there have been some cracks in the good husband part with his drinking and showing interest in the female co-worker. I'm not saying he's a bad guy. But all the kids saw a model of a "take charge" father who made decisions, often without Rebecca's input. So Randal internalizes that view of being a husband and re-enacts it with his family. Kate finds a guy who is a "take charge" guy who makes decisions and pushes them on her and she doesn't have a model of how to push back, other than pulling away entirely. I think the family dynamics make a lot of sense. I also think we have not seen the last of Olivia. She finds out that (as I think she sees her) "mousey little Sloane" has taken HER role and HER man. So she comes back to get back her possessions. The Director has already indicated he'd like her back. She confronts Kevin in front of Sloane, making sure Sloane knows she has a (much better looking, sexier, more interesting) rival. Kevin makes it all worse by making it clear that he still kind of wants Olivia. Why should she go away? This is just the first foray into a larger battle. She's rocked Sloane. If Sloane gets thrown off, then Olivia can step up and take back HER part. Then she can move on to taking back HER Kevin. The fact that she will probably dump him once she has him again is only secondary. She's marking her territory. Plus she is a "complicated" "edgy" character. I'm sure she's here for the long haul. ETA: About the Diet controversy. When I go to a restaurant I say I want a diet "whatever you have", so asking for a diet doesn't have to mean a diet Coke. There was Tab. There was Fresca. There was diet Pepsi and Diet Rite. Rebecca's mother was just letting them know to bring them something diet. She didn't care if her daughter wanted it or not.
  19. So we never saw the entrance to Drew's place at all. I wonder why. Is it possible they didn't finish it in time? Or maybe the cameras weren't allowed on that side (which seems unlikely). Plus I only remember seeing 3 sides of the quad fireplace. Did I miss one? Or did they maybe plaster over it and just pretend they didn't?
  20. Well this just got interesting HGTV's Flip or Flop Stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa Separate "
  21. From TVLine Season 11 will be an All Star cast ♦ Gage Hubbard (Season 1) Los Angeles ♦ Tyler Green (Season 6) Litchfield, Conn. ♦ Cat Paschen (Season 6) Los Angeles ♦ Niko Gonzalez (Season 6) Los Angeles ♦ Rachael Wagner (Season 7) Los Angeles ♦ Cig Neutron (Season 7) Los Angeles ♦ George Troester (Season 7) Los Angeles ♦ Keaghlan Ashley (Season 7) Los Angeles ♦ Stella Sensel (Season 7) New York ♦ Adam Milicevic (Season 8) Los Angeles ♦ Emily Serpico (Season 8) Orlando, Fla. ♦ Logan Long (Season 8) Salt Lake City ♦ Evan Hedges (Season 9) Boulder, Co. ♦ Ben Ploughman (Season 9) Los Angeles ♦ Jasmine Ringo (Season 9) Las Vegas ♦ Melissa Ebbe (Season 10) Milwaukee I recognize some of these right off the bat, Gage, Tyler, Cig Emily. The others I'll have to re-look at. Anyway, it should be an interesting season. I hope they have good challenges.
  22. Yay, it was Marita for the win. I'm glad because I was not up for another round of "make Dom happen". I would have preferred Michelle, but at least it's not Dom.
  23. Liz's, apparently dead, mother's name is Katarina. Coincidence? Yes or No? I do think Mr. Kaplan was part of the baby switch so that Tom and Lizzie could be reunited.
