  1. It looks like John ADAMS Morgan and Corinne are supping in a room decorated with that infamous wallpaper from “Scarface.” That would be considerably more awesome than an actual sunset in a beautiful setting. LuAnn looked really good when she was wearing a white plaid shirt, with her hair pulled back. (The scene where she gifted Sonja the Ninja.)
  2. Y’all don’t remember Dorinda saying she had a file (dossier?) on Lady Morgan a season or two back? Carole commented on it: “don’t fuck with Dorinda!” It’s arguably calculated and no bueno, but IMO screaming, “we’ve talked about that!” to a widow who buried a loved spouse 6 years after your finalized divorce (triggered by your frequent cheating!) is beyond the gotdamned pale. The convo was wacky but not a grease fire before that, but Sonja was amoral and cruel and untoward, tsk. It was not toward! Dorinda burned and watered, then salted, the ashes of the various mythologies about Sonja Tremont Morgan of the I”m Thin Morgans. Slow clap, Doris. Damn, yikes, but damn.
  3. I felt awkward for Beth when she arrived late yet first for her birthday dinner, and when she was third-wheeling it with Tinsley and Carole. They’re all horribly self-involved, but Bethenny looked hurt and insecure.
  4. I will fight John Mahdessian for fair Dorinda’s hand. I also like roast chicken, naps, and knitwear. We’d be happy, I’d never spill sauce, and I’d hold her earrings if she plans a sequel for The Great Shellacking because DAMN. Does the Pulitzer committee want to reconsider its recent awardee list in light of truths told, if ferociously? (Or tipsily?). Wow. No lies detected, Dorinda. And next week, Ramona’s trying to get Sonja to apologize! Empathy-free Ramona! Wow, part2. (I think Dori could make Erika ugly cry within 7 minutes. Jayne or Girardi.) Loved Bethenny’s Gucci sweater.
  5. That’s what I failed to express, Hunter Hunted. I think it is jarring for me to see Carole because people gave such raves to her first book, and she traveled to such interesting places at ABC. If someone gave her a start on something big like managing the Twitter of a community, ITA that she’d do great and love what she was doing.
  6. You’re a love, Film Noire. Thank you for the good thoughts. Carole’s Cosmo piece: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/amp18675877/carole-radziwill-cosmo-essay/ I’m not trying to be a hater but it’s, meh - a satisfying the word count piece. I dunno. I never read “What Remains,” and probably never watched her ABC work, but where is that high-achiever now? I have run that race and my hand to Oprah, I could have written a more compelling essay on hers or other ancillary marathon-finisher-now-what?? type ruminations. I don’t dislike Carole but she confuses me. Don’t writers get better, more interesting, over time? Am I just hella naive? (Probably.). Also, why is so much of the Poshmark stuff so un-Carole? I mean she talked about her love of vintage but is selling a lot of new mid-market and stuff; why’d she buy so much in the first place? I’m always curious about Carole because she’s had truly interesting experiences. She still could, and it seems like she isn’t? Just me?
  7. I saw the Poshmark thing, too. I swear I’m not concern trolling Carole or women in her position (well-off financially, question mark? ) and I know RHONY is a seasonal job but damn! I’m worried for lack of a better word. She had a real career and was an unusually successful writer - it is so hard to get published by magazines let alone put out two books. I wish she’d turn a page and be a really active volunteer for her political passions, or for NYRR’s charity for underprivileged kids, or for a no-kill shelter. She’d be great at so much. Rifling through old clothes is boring. She seems so damned bored. And a pox on the Page 6 and People photos. They’re terrible.
  8. Thanks for the IMG page! Delilah’s profile follows Daria Werbowy’s and hangs out in the same corner of cyberspace as the newly unretired, history-making Karen Alexander???! Not ok. I don’t understand the economy of Instagram, which seems pretty Potemkiny to me if you’re not a Kardashian slinging lip gloss, but in any event Hamlet 1 is a terrible print model. Dreadful.
  9. You’re the good kind of evil. Your posts make me legitimately LOL (apologies to B Frankel. I guess). The premiere was fun and a bummer all at once. I’m sort of out of sorts as far as consumerist escapism, especially if the results are so mixed, Kyle and Dorit and Erika. Ah well. I still think PK is charmless and worthless and creepy. Ben and Ronnie of the Watch What Crappens podcast said that PK was arguably lucky his creepy posturing towards Erika preceded #metoo and I gotta agree. He’s a dick and I have no idea how Dorit can stomach physical contact with that thing. He looks like he smells of unconquerable B.O., Axe and cheap, cheap scotch. I just read the alleged real Harry Hamlin “let’s talk about the husband” rumor. If it’s true - a huge and brutal and horrible if- I hope that actress exposes both Harry and Lisa. Honestly, I almost shook with anger reading that. If it’s false and obviously it could be and it’s just gossip now, it’s a deftly created falsehood because I could see LisaR behaving that way. She is sick and mean as hell, and seems to enjoy the false kind of toughness that certain idiotic self-identified mama bears always have. It’s just creepily plausible.
  10. Claire lied and did herself an enormous disservice, and it’s genuinely pitiable. However brutal Amy was (I vote “wasn’t,” though I simultaneously felt uncomfortable), never was a truer thing said on this show than Amy to Margarita, “you don’t need to provide evidence for someone who’s already confessed and is now pretending like she didn’t confess.” That’s devastating because it’s exactly what happened. Margarita told the apparent truth and the malice consistently attributed to her, IMO falsely, seems cruel and vulgar as hell. This idea that past cheating was handled with white-glove elegance is SUCH a lie, signed someone who has watched every episode, and loved season 3, which was bookended by actual and potential cheating. Last, Margarita didn’t say she had it right all along. She and others specifically referenced the benefit of being around other designers. It’s just exhausting and beyond the reasonable elasticity of opinion, when the words are torqued beyond meaning.
  11. Helen is a truly bad person and a limited designer. Candace is an arrogant idiot with an "elegant porno costumes" aesthetic. When she prattles all I hear is durrrrrrr. Go Fabio, Kelley and Amanda!
  12. I almost feel for Brandon...he is not going to win, and clearly thought he already had. I loved Ayana's wedding dress and the turban and veil, Margarita's long fish dress and Jazzmine's walk and reveal, and her print - and almost all of Kentaro's collection.
  13. Brandon and Margarita are the standouts for me, then 3-6 for me run Kentaro, Ayana, Kenya and that dismal decoy.
  14. Carole did it! In around 6 hrs, 40 mins. I give it up to her- she set an incredibly tough goal and met it, as a non-exercising first-time marathoner in her 50s! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.runnersworld.com/new-york-city-marathon/how-well-celebrities-ran-at-the-2017-nyc-marathon%3famp
  15. I didn't know she went to RISD. Thanks, I do love a weather report!
  16. I like Margarita. I like that she has no poker face, and admitted, fully, that she was head-fucked by the elimination and her save. Further, and I'll try and keep my legit temper in check, she hasn't worked with winter textiles. Maybe if your instinct is to eye-roll and get super nasty super fast about someone who does come from a literal, objective reality, endless summer climate...you should ask yourself why. Because she wasn't lying. My Puerto Rican mom and all of that side of my family think "winter" is under 70 degrees if and when they move to the mainland. Anyway. Loved Kentaro's. Love Kenya, but not all of her elements. Margarita's dress was pure Muppet, Brandon should have refined the hems. Ayana's fabrics and styling looked cheapitty cheap cheap. All that written, I am glad all 5 are showing something next week.
  17. Does this link work? I am not getting a paywall now: https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2016/09/08/tim-gunn-designers-refuse-to-make-clothes-to-fit-american-women-its-a-disgrace/?postshare=6531473419153248&tid=ss_fb-bottom&utm_term=.1784e9a8282d
  18. Good god. Does Margarita control the weather, too? Then please tell her manipulative self I vote for eternal autumn! Love that she's actually worse than the cheaters, despite the designers interviewed to date all confirm they all complained, repeatedly, about the bozos- and she is still tight with Michael, who was so manipulated by evil Marg, hundredth verse, same as the first. I have seen nothing to show Kentaro's alleged contempt for the plus-sized. His nightgown design for Heidi's sweatshop was modeled by the tedious though gorgeous Liris, and it IMO should have won. I think Tim largely uses his save in a fairly sincere manner. This long podcast includes a ton of stuff indicating how much he disdains the judges for their superficial critiques, and how much he loves clothes/arts with historical referents (like Tim/M talking of the bodice with respect to QE 1.) https://podfanatic.com/podcast/really-famous/episode/1-tim-gunn-interview
  19. Kentaro and Kenya may be my favorite personalities on PR since s.3's Mychael and Laura. OT but I am still horribly sad about Mychael.
  20. I love Kenya and Liris was snatched, for sure, but I didn't love her dress. Ayana and Kentaro were my favorites.
  21. I'm glad Tim saved Margarita. The hatred she inspires is...a lot. Nina and Zac Woulda Coulda-ing Kentaro, and then accusing him of copying, was crass and distasteful. Speaking of distasteful: the Avon lipsticks look as cosmetically appealing as painting your mouth with matte house paint. To quote "Reinhold Niebuhr," lordy.
  22. Well, the guns pointed at them are out of frame! Kidding, obv, but besides not seeming germane to this whole convo, it's not like that's not been known forever- much hay was made over the Clintons showing up for then Dem-donor Donald's third taking of the til-death vow....(I'm assuming...maybe there's an escape hatch in the form of divorce for FLOTUS). But hot damn, Melania's profile IS amazingly like Carole's - that man at the restaurant in the Bronx really called it! Anyhoo, I didn't post the event planner stuff for it to be smirked at as untrue, but I do take digressions about corruption from people who apparently don't have extremely close, loved family currently living in cruel, cruel circumstances on the island (circumstances very much not of their making, in any way) with a ----ton of Morton's. Not necessary, not kind - and remarkably unlike Bethenny's acts, which have been kind. And necessary, irrespective of motive(s).
