I think the answer for the Friday reruns is that they have been doing new, live episodes on Sundays following Sunday Night Football. I wouldn't mind if they did that sporadically, but every week during football season really messes up the rhythm. I want my Hashtags on Thursdays and Thank You Notes on Fridays!! Why they are off altogether this week, I don't know, but Seth Meyers is off as well.

That was brilliant - and brilliantly funny. The episode was "Reality Bites" from Season 20.

You're right, it was The Emotions that I was thinking of. Thanks for clarifying. Sheryl said in an episode last season that that was one of her best birthdays ever. By the way, Donny's birthday jingle to Marie is still stuck in my head. I cracked up when he broke out into "One Bad Apple", only to be cut off by Marie when she said they'd have to pay for the use of the song. 😂 I noticed too that Sharon did not take a swipe at Gwyneth Paltrow today. All right, who is this imposter and what has she done with Mrs. O? 😂

That was a nice song the Osmond Brothers sang on Marie's 60th birthday show. I think Marie is fitting in well a month or so into the gig.

I really liked the song Marie's brothers sang on her birthday celebration show the other day. It's so funny how the birthdays of the hosts all seem to come on at once...Sharon, Marie and Sheryl in October, Eve in November and Carrie Ann in January. Sheryl always has military veterans in the audience on her birthday so it will be nice to see that happen again. Didn't Chaka Khan perform on the show for one of Sheryl's birthdays?

Barry is going to have to update the book again after the events of HGTV. ☺

The book definitely goes into grisly detail about certain cases, and those mentioned would be hard to even partly sanitize for TV. The eyeball story did make it to the show. I'm not surprised that even the most seasoned policemen lost their lunches at that crime scene.

They did bring back the regular title sequence, which is good. They need to keep Hashtags on Thursdays and Thank You Notes on Fridays, and they need to bring back Pros and Cons. Most of all, they need to cut the volume on Higgins' microphone!!
