  1. Darlene (looking at phone): Did you call Ben a hyena? Dan: Just thought he should know. Just the way John Goodman said that line was hilarious. It's all in the delivery. 😂
  2. Becky and Darlene are at Wellman. Jackie still has the Lunch Box.
  3. I loved Dan and Darlene's heart-to-heart at the kitchen table - especially after Becky's tirade in the past about Mark was mentioned. It just felt like a true "moment". Still, I wish that the show would give some love to the family not living in the house. When was the last time we saw DJ? True, he was never meant to be as central to the story as Darlene and Becky but it would be nice to see him and Mary a bit more. Am I the only one who wanted the tag to be Ben fixing the roof? 😉😂
  4. I loved the interview Mrs. Rogers did with Jimmy Fallon back in June 2018. What a wonderful legacy she and her husband left us!! RIP!! 🙏❤
  5. I'd love to hear Jon Batiste perform a full version of "Battle Hymn of the Republic". ❤
  6. Has anyone else noticed that the announcer has been calling the band Stay HUMAN again? I've gotten so used to "homin'" that it was a bit jarring. 😂
  7. Does anyone have the ratings from then as opposed to now?
  8. It was kind of jarring to hear Alex in the earliest episodes - he sounded like he had consumed too much coffee!! Other than that, he was as droll and self-assured as ever.
  9. Spudnuts is a great local donut shop here in Northeast Ohio. This commercial is from 1996. It is still going strong in the same location and the building seen briefly in the clip looks exactly the same today. 😊❤
  10. That was my guess, too. My mom also guessed the Russian dog, but didn't know the dog's name, just like the middle guy.
  11. That's an awesome idea, and I hope that happens. ❤
  12. Here's Greg Hopkins, the first J! Alex contestant reminiscing. This aired Thursday night: https://www.wsaz.com/2021/01/07/winner-of-alex-trebeks-first-jeopardy-episode-talks-about-experience/
  13. I'm touched by that, too. I'm sure it will be there for the rest of the season.
  14. I was surprised how well Ken did. He has always had such a deep love and respect for both the game and Alex that maybe I shouldn't have been surprised. It's also interesting to see a long-running contestant as a host, as it gives him a new perspective on the game as well. It's also nice that they've kept Alex's memorial card up at the end of the show. I'm sure they will keep it there for the rest of the season. ❤
  15. I actually like the shade of green Sara wore - it suits her. The outfit itself? 😳😱
  16. He also doesn't get Secret Service protection or a travel allowance, so even more reason enough.
  17. I think Jimmy has done a better job than most give him credit for. His comment about his late grandfather gutted me. (“If my grandfather were alive today and saw the country he fought for today, he’d be disgusted.” Mine too.) My favorite comment of the night, however, was by James Corden: "I truly believe that there are better times ahead...except for the guy who came to the protest dressed as every member of the Village People. I don't know if better times are ahead for him." Agreed that on the whole - Seth and Stephen Colbert owned the night.

    MSNBC

Chuck must have blown out his vocal cords during this week's coverage because his voice was very hoarse this morning on MTP. I think everyone did a great job with the coverage this week, especially Yasmin V. The split screen of her reporting outside the Capitol and today narrating the events was pretty chilling. I don't know how she was able to keep her composure, but my hat's off to her.
