  1. Congrats to Shane Bieber!!!!!! Yay!!!!!! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cleveland.com/tribe/2020/11/shane-bieber-is-cleveland-indians-first-unanimous-cy-young-award-winner-in-the-american-league.html%3foutputType=amp
  2. One year ago today, America was moved to tears at this gesture:
  3. For those of you who missed it, here is the special opening from Monday's show. It was a great move to dim the lights on the empty set, just like Broadway dims the lights when an accomplished stage actor passes.
  4. Likewise, GSN will be airing a tribute of their own: https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.yahoo.com/amphtml/game-show-network-sets-jeopardy-195455698.html
  5. In the words of the great Smokey Robinson, I second that emotion!!
  6. I'm surprised he didn't say "don't you know who I am?" 😝
  7. I like the LeVar Burton idea. Another thought - how about Tom Bergeron? He's free of DWTS, has game show hosting experience and has quite a fan base. I wouldn't mind seeing him host J!
  8. I'm so glad this is still up on YouTube. Here's Alex on Jimmy Fallon's Phone Booth in October 2015 with Shaq, Hugh Jackman, Mr. Met (!!!) and many more!!! 😁😂
  9. I never was on J! but I have a couple of friends who were. They shared their own pics with Alex. Here's Gerry in 2003 and Jenny in 2015:
  10. I heard Alex say in his interview with Michael Strahan earlier this year that he and Sean Connery had actually never met. Too bad - if ever there was a missed photo op, it would be that. Another heartbreaking thing I heard Alex say was how sad he was to never have become a grandfather in his lifetime. I think he totally would have been a doting grandpa. 😢💔
  11. I loved when Alex appeared in Jimmy Fallon's Phone Booth segment in October 2015. Seeing him squished in a phone booth with Shaq was pure gold. 😁
  12. Every time I see the word "genre", I hear Alex saying it. I always will. ❤
  13. Poor Mel Brooks...it's been well known for many years that he and his best friend Carl Reiner would eat dinner and watch J! together every night. Not only did Mel lose Carl earlier this year, but now he's lost Alex! 😢 In a very 2020 twist of fate, his SNL "rival", Sean Connery, passed away just last week. Ironically, Alex said once that he and Sean Connery had actually never met.
  14. I am beyond heartbroken right now. Alex and J! began in September 1984. I had just started kindergarten. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are watching the show with Grandma. To this day, I watch with my folks on my nights off. Here's just one more reason why 2020 needs to go away. RIP Alex - and thank you for everything. God rest you, sir. 🙏💔❤🇨🇦
  15. Stephen's tears got me right in the heart. He is absolutely right that those in the GOP that you-know-who (to borrow a term from Whoopi) has cowed need to break ranks and SPEAK UP!! The Paula White thing had me rolling. Here's something a few of you may not know - her husband is Jonathan Cain (yes, he of The Babys, Journey and Bad English fame). 😳
