  1. Or maybe he didn't realize how bad things would be in MLB until now.
  2. I don't see Mike going back to baseball this year. With a newborn, I don't see that the risk is worth it.
  3. E-Rod's season is officially over: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29579222/boston-red-sox-pitcher-eduardo-rodriguez-done-season-due-heart-issue%3fplatform=amp

    The NBA

According to this, Lou Williams was enjoying more than chicken wings on his infamous night out in Atlanta. 😣😝 https://www.google.com/amp/s/sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/lou-williams-clippers-magic-city-chicken-wings-dancer-nba-bubble-051329401.html
  5. This photo of former and then-current cast members was taken in 2009, I believe. That's Dick Wolf with Jill Hennessy in his lap. Seasons 18-20 were just as strong cast-wise as the early years. Great chemistry.
  6. Jill Hennessy even mentioned that in this 2015 video commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Mothership:
  7. I wish the Indians would do that. I miss not being able to go to the games - besides the games themselves, I miss dollar dog nights, fireworks nights, giveaways, even the wave. Yes, I said it. True story - I spent most of the past two weeks under self-quarantine when someone I worked for tested positive. I had to drive into Cleveland to be tested myself (which ultimately turned out to be negative, thank goodness). Being July, late afternoon and driving west on I-90...under those circumstances, I would usually be going to the ballpark, and I felt a pang of sadness that I wasn't. That's why I wish the players would shape up and wear masks full-time, space themselves out, stop spitting, stop the high-fives and no post game celebrations for the winning team after the last out. The staffs have to be vigilant about enforcing the rules. If a player doesn't stop breaking them, he doesn't play - pure and simple. What is so hard about that???
  8. More Cardinals test positive: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29576838/sources-more-st-louis-cardinals-test-positive-coronavirus%3fplatform=amp
  9. I'm watching the Indians/Twins game and I'm still not seeing much of an improvement with masks, distancing, etc. The coaches, managers, even front office people if need be, have to come down harder on these guys. They have no excuses when it comes to spacing if a player is not at bat, about to bat or in the field. There are thousands of empty seats all around them!!!!
  10. Can you also imagine the reactions of the Marlins players/coaches/clubhouse staff who were doing what they were supposed to and still got infected through the carelessness and stupidity of others on the team? I'd be infuriated.
  11. That's how I feel about the Indians, who are now using the same visiting clubhouse in Minnesota that the Cardinals just vacated.
  12. More bad news: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/cardinals-have-positive-coronavirus-tests-fridays-game-against-brewers-postponed-per-reports/amp/
  13. Besides, Kelly wasn't even ejected from the game. Just one more way Manfred completely screwed up the whole Houston Asterisks situation. 😝
  14. Manfred and Goodell are cut from the same inept cloth.
  15. Last I heard, both Atlanta catchers tested negative and were about to rejoin the team.
  16. Here's the biggest shock of the season. I wonder if they ran into Lou Williams trying to get his chicken wings. 😜 https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/phillies/miami-marlins-players-went-out-atlanta-covid-19-outbreak-mlb-report
  17. I agree with that, but I singled out Kelly because he took it upon himself to start this. Idiot!
  18. True, but he was on the Red Sox team that lost to the Astros in 2017. He should be suspended and miss the rest of this short season for that. No punches or anything of that nature were thrown, but a lot of people who weren't wearing masks were gathered on the field in the midst of a pandemic. Smart move, Mr. Kelly, very smart. 😠😠😠😠😠
  19. Did you see him sticking out his tongue and making faces at the Astros? Very mature, that one.
  20. ...and we may have the next MLB outbreak!! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29556054/benches-clear-dodgers-joe-kelly-throws-astros-alex-bregman-taunts-carlos-correa%3fplatform=amp
  21. Kudos to White Sox manager Rick Renteria. Yesterday, he woke up with sniffles and a bit of a cough after the team had arrived in Cleveland. He did the right thing - immediately going to a Cleveland hospital to get tested and not going to the ballpark (which would have been moot as the game was eventually rained out). His test was negative and he's managing today - and had his mask on firmly over his nose throughout the game. Which is more than I can say for Tito - as the game went on, his mask slid to under his nose where it remained through the postgame celebration (ugh). It seems that the best mask-wearers on the Indians at this point are base coaches Sandy Alomar and Mike Sarbaugh, along with pitching coach Carl Willis. Really, what will it take for the league to step in and say, "come on guys, you can't high-five/celebrate/be careless with masks"? What happened with the Marlins can just as easily happen to any of them.
  22. I'm watching the first game of the doubleheader between the Indians and White Sox (last night's game was rained out). I am seeing more masks and worn the right way (including Tito). The first baseman (Jose Abreu) for the Sox is wearing his mask while manning his position. Let's see how long this will last.
  23. Chris Wallace should have interviewed Manfred. 👍
