  1. Freddie Highmore studied several languages at college and also spent some time in Spain. Here are two interviews on Spanish & French TV, i.e. not scripted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl4m3u3p01c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpWHpO81wC0
  2. This. Also the long term psychological effect on Ryan (having to deal with the guilt of what he has done, the guilt of his father being in jail for him and keeping this secret for the rest of his life) would have ruined his life. At least now he can hope to heal.
  3. The point here is that Mare is more experienced and clearly could push Zabel to do as she wished. She knew she had no gun and could not provide backup for Zabel. His mother knew the true balance of power in this relationship and so was really justified in blaming Mare for being reckless. The fact that mare yet again ignored the command to wait for backup only proves it again.
  4. The first part of this episode reminded me of the the episode "The Body" (S05E16) of BTVS. It had the same feeling of time slowing down. It left an unforgettable impression on me at the time. One of the writers for this episode, was a writer on several of Joss Whedon's series and I am sure this was a sort of homage to that episode.
  5. No, it's a sort of talisman to keep evil spirits from her unborn child that La-Fiera left for her as a gift. Not sure if/how Nolan knew about it but I think it was shown for us to make the connection. It was shown again in the "previously" scenes for this episode.
  6. They did mention him twice: When Clarice & Esquivel were looking at the gum wrapper with writing inside, Esquivel said: "looks like Hebrew, where's Tripathi when you need him?". Later, in the office, Esquivel asks Murray: "Did you here from Tripathi yet?", to which he replies: "He's out in Chicago, helping out his wife's parents" and Esquivel mentions that his wife passed. The question of why Kal Penns seems to have taken a break, is of course still open.
  7. The summary for the next two episodes on IMDb begs to differ:)
  8. I found this extremely frustrating. Even the way the FBI seemed so gentle and understanding when they questioned him was outrageous. After he realized that his first post resulted in the murder of two innocent people he continued posting names of supposed "suspects". How is this not accessory to murder?
  9. Isn't one nickname enough? None are nicknames. Her name is Jet Slootmaekers
  10. I was also confused at first but from their conversation I realized it was not Frankie. To quote from Reddit: pacmanlad0607: No, that's Tommy from season 1. In the conversation Cathy & Tommy were having, Tommy mentions how she's holding up after what happened to Frankie & not letting the kids know. Tommy's head is shaven & he has a scar now. This seems to imply Frankie is dead (the actor playing him is now in the main cast of Debris, so I guess they had to disappear him:)
  11. 1. At first I though Liam must be dead because of Jenny's expression when she came back. However, her mother was sleeping on the couch and looked back with the same kind of sorrow, and when we last saw her, she was following Gordo (Jenny's father) up the stairs. So its more likely that her father died and this is what they are sharing. I think both the father and Liam's fates were intentionally left open until they decide about the next season. 2. The tape worms came from the wild boars the father and Aaron hunted and later cooked and ate. Caleb is vegetarian and never ate them. 3. Aaron hated his parents because his father used to hunt him to toughen him up and the mother knew. Because the cysts reached his brain he got the rage fits that triggered his violence. 4. No answer for this one - these two episodes season finale were indeed way way too depressing 🙂
  12. And the trivial fact that he murdered the original Harry 🙂
  13. After the first fall, Asta looked at her phone and said: "I guess glaciers aren't part of a cell plan". When they did get out she did call her father.
  14. Why was Tiffany at the stakeout for the ransom drop off? Her face was unmasked and Sergei could easily have recognized her. This was very sloppy.
  15. I had the same problem with this. It was not a reaction of recognition of the song, but of the song triggering an emotional memory. It did not make sense at all.
  16. This. Also whenever Maggie is angry at him it looks very convincing but when she relents and smiles at him it looks forced and unconvincing (not just in this episode but also before). There is zero chemistry between them which makes his presence on the show perplexing.
  17. I suspect this is why the writers added the unicorn socks for luck, as this is the only way this all worked 🙂
  18. Gibbs knows he is driving to an area with bad cell connection, needs directions from his office and his agents are probably in danger. Don't they have satellite phones for these kinds of emergencies?
  19. The one thing that amazes me every single episode is the 911 operator. She manages to be calm, efficient, resourceful & creative no matter what is thrown at her. She may not be in physical danger but answering those calls must be so stressful.
  20. I would have liked it more if she didn't leave her gun on top of the cupboard instead of locking it somewhere the minute she took it off. As she did this immediately after watching her daughter in the other room, it felt very jarring. They are usually very careful to show guns being stored away as an example.
  21. Michael did this because he realized Trevor poses the greatest risk to Adam at that moment. Jimmy at this point thinks Michael killed his son and Michael wants to keep it this way but Trevor may disclose that Adam was driving the car and has proof of it. This was why Michael thought for a moment and decided the only way to save his son was to let Jimmy kill Trevor. The boat payments had nothing to do with it, It was in fact the major shift in Michael descent into actual evil, i.e. willing to kill to defend his son. Up to this point he was just hiding the truth and even Kofi's death was a misfortune of his being caught stealing the car and Michael even tried to save him in prison by getting him transferred when he realize Carlo was being sent to the same prison (during the cemetery scene).
  22. My main beef with this series is that despite being sold as jury science drama, the cases are always decided or later resolved by external information solving the case.
  23. I was really impressed by George Clooney's compliments to all the other guests at the start of his interview. He was introduced as this larger than life Hollywood star joining an all British group and started by saying how much he was impressed to be joining such a talented group. While Michael Sheen and David Tennant are well known internationally, he made sure to do it for the less known Vanessa Kirby and even mentioned Daisy May Cooper appearance in Copperfield. This was really nice and he clearly made the effort to check on the other guests before hand.
