  1. For me it was strange seeing him playing an American in London. I have seen him is so many British movies and period series (e.g. Middlemarch, Charles II: The Power and the Passion,Victoria), he always remains a Brit in my mind.
  2. My money is on Susie's imagination. You can see she stopped listening to the comic reciting the scene and starting to day dream.
  3. Well the creator-writer-producer (Debora Cahn) of this series was a writer-producer on The West Wing and later Homeland, so it is no coincident.
  4. I find myself really sad about the many may posts going the date-rape route. The exposure in the last few years of the many sexual harassment cases has tilted our perception too far. Yes, we need to be observant and careful but not forget that the absolute majority of men are decent & empathetic. Rebecca is not a young inexperienced girl and despite clearly being attracted to her he stepped back at each point that she was indecisive. There were zero red flags if you allow her the courtesy of being able to use her own judgement about his character.
  5. It was already hinted at when he kissed her foot after applying the plaster. She was startled and he said: "sorry, force of habit". This is such a clearly parent thing to do with a child.
  6. Just started watching but had to comment on the adorable interaction between Red and Herbie's baby. Not the first time we can see James Spader easy rapour with young children. I suspect it is why they tend to include it more frequently lately.
  7. They are relying on pure nostalgia for the old characters.
  8. Don't give up. I have watched the full season and they do a really good job developing the background and emotional journey of both the new DCI & Sunny and their relationship.
  9. Did not read the book but just watched the pilot and they got both just right, without resorting to being mean for the sake of it.
  10. I wasn't torn , I hated it. It is such a trope of old sitcoms to have kids speak in perfectly articulated smart ass jokes like they never do in real life. In the beginning when the air hostess asked him if he was excited to go back, his answer: "To all my toys? yes. To my country political landscape? not so much." I actually flinched. Also quoting Phoebe during the breakup talk: "It makes sense .. and few relationships can survive a major career change, much less two" .. ".. so one of my core beliefs is that nothing lasts forever". WTF. Like the Ted Lasso writers lost their pitch perfect ear when encountering children?
  11. But this one had four wires connecting the timer to the detonator, so making sure all four were cut exactly together may be tricky.
  12. Another case where a standup comedian (Bill Dawes) proves to be a good dramatic actor.

  14. From IMDB: "Tania Raymonde began her career on Malcolm in the Middle (2000), and is known for her portrayal of Alex Rousseau in the J.J. Abrams series Lost. She played the title role of notorious murderer Jodi Arias in the Lifetime original feature Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret (2013), and starred alongside Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt in David E. Kelley's legal drama Goliath for Amazon." I remember her most vividly from her role in LOST. I looked too, but thru her IMDb full filmography and found out she was also a guest in one of the early NCIS episodes (S2.E17) with the title: "An Eye for an Eye". I was curious enough to watch it and it has a pair of very blue eyes playing a major part:). I have a feeling someone decided to recall her as an inside joke.
  15. Amanda Schull. I remember her from Suits. Btw, I usually find the names (& pictures) of guest stars on TvMaze, e.g. https://www.tvmaze.com/episodes/2405814/9-1-1-lone-star-4x02-the-new-hot-mess
  16. My favorite scene was the brilliant use of music to convey the different types of woods she was smelling/tasting to compare with the sliver the vet took from the dog's wound. I can understand why Okja made him stop wanting to eat or cook meat forever. It was a really good movie, but hard to watch if you care about animals (even though the animals are not real--I don't want to say more in case you decide to watch it). I also liked that they did not use the obvious trope of sweet animal movie that would usually only affect children. Okja si such a powerful movie that you can see how even a grownup will be affected by it.
  17. This is the third series Gina Torres and D. B. Woodside are playing a couple (Suits, Pearson and here). They do have great screen chemistry/
  18. The full hazmat suit to clean Smitty’s trailer was funny in itself, but not as a contrast to the fentanyl cookhouse breach. There was nothing funny about it and the stupidity drove me crazy. I understand that they were worried about the child and did not want to wait, but they handled it like a Keystone Cops scene. Celina should have covered the kids mouth on the first scream, shutting the electricity to stop the blenders was basic as well and at least using some piece of wet cloth to cover their faces and treat the blenders like a movement triggered bomb.
  19. Wouldn't it be amazing if they brought back Brent Spiner (and Annie O'Donnell) as guest stars to play the hilarious Wheeler couple. They were so good they brought them back 7! times over the years.
  20. According to IMDb, Anna Torv is part of the first 5 episodes, so maybe we will see more flashbacks with her.
  21. I just realized that his stint on ISS was quite awhile back and not every non Canadian watched his videos from space in real time, like I did. So: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Hadfield performing David Bowie's Space Oddity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaOC9danxNo Chris Hadfield on the ISS https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUaartJaon3LV-ZQ4J3bNQj4VNVG2ByIG
  22. For me the most enjoyable (and hilarious), was the short scene with "Rocket Man" talking circling the earth in low orbit while everyone looking at him as one of the crazies (love Chris Hadfield:).
  23. After they searched him the camera panned to the potted plant behind him and his phone was hidden between the leaves. Only later he retrieved it to send messages. Heh, not only were they not professional villains, they had no potential for successful villainy. It's amazing neither was shot or worse. See my response above.
  24. I am not sure sending Chernitsky to kill Cartwright Sr. on top of the other kills, was a diversion. At this point Katinsky used him for his payment. He wanted to avenge his "joe" and as he told Lamb, all the decisions about how to handle Partner were made by the top dog, i.e. Cartwright Sr.
  25. Will Sasso, a Canadian actor (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0766005/)
