3/5 I never had a Pop Tart until my second year of college when I went home with a friend and her parents had a box ready for her. They were strawberry frosted. Then I didn’t see them again until I had grandchildren. I’d need more filling to like them. Never heard of that before, but please save a slice for me. Sounds delicious. Where do I find a recipe for that?

I’m fortunate to have a used bookstore about 15 minutes away. It’s great for when things come out in paperback. They have stopped accepting hard covers due to space issues, although there are still some in there for sale. I especially like going to pick up some vacation reads as I don’t mind giving them away and saving the room in my suitcase for things I pick up while traveling. My BC runs on themes so I usually able to find something that fits.

3/5 plus the one * I went out and bought Fig Newtons. They were hard to find as they must now have too many kinds of Oreos that mostly filled the cookie section.

@Scarlett45 Iam glad your Mom has a good support system in the hospital and hope she makes a full recovery. Happy birthday to you sister who I’m glad isn’t acting out while your Mom is absent and glad she has many new things to focus on. I went to the racetrack and won $225.00 on a $2 bet. That was it for the night. Then years later I went to Las Vegas with a high school friend and won enough to pay for my plane fare, room (mind it wasn’t a big expensive hotel), a really nice dinner out and came home with over $500 extra in my pocket. I went with the caveat that I would allow myself to bet $100 on the trip…no more. I’m well over a thousand ahead. So now I just don’t bet save the occasional lottery ticket. I just don’t think that kind of luck lasts.

My brother is a genealogy nut, but won’t share the information. 😡 There’s other things that complicate our family tree, but at this point I’ve decided just to concentrate on the younger generations in my family.

3/5 this week. I’m bringing red wine to dip my pizza crusts in. I’ll also bring some nonalcoholic wine for those that don’t imbibe.

I have a weight issue (I weigh 75 lbs), so I still eat dairy and a sourdough English muffin every morning. The reason I probably am so small is that I’m basically a vegetable and salad lover. Mind you, I’m short not anorexic. However pancakes or waffles would be a once a year splurge. I don’t have the taste buds for high fat or sugary dishes. Yuck
