  1. I love the way he used a sound and is calmness to disable the dogs. It’s almost unbelievable how he could turn around what was happening at Stallings house, a then I saw the end. Was he hallucinating? Or is he not what we think he is (human)?
  2. I’m over 40 minutes into this and is it me, or does Carl look emaciated?
  3. The shooting incident happened on a Columbus Day and he lived up the street. He wanted to see if shooting someone really hurt. Then the bullying began in school when everyone else saw there were no consequences to hurting her. I’m glad we moved too. She deserved all I could do as a mother to protect her. His father was a Viet Nam vet and had loaded guns all over the house. I’m sure his parents didn’t condone his action, but they didn’t punish him either. I guess I wasn’t clear and shouldn’t have used the word “allowed”. I meant more that he able to do it without consequences. That made others think they were entitled to hurt her too without repercussions.
  4. Back to the travel discussion: My family also put an emphasis on travel as being part of an education. As I result I’m well traveled. I also did this for my daughter. I got her to 19 countries by the age of 18. She took Art Appreciation in college and was tickled that she had seen so many of them on our trips. I also enjoy traveling alone. Last time I went to Paris I spent a month there and had a swell time. I met lots of people which further enhanced my experience. Back to the bullying: My daughter experienced it terribly in middle school. One kid even shot her (yes, with a gun), but the authorities didn’t want to ruin his life (he was 16) by charging him. I even went to plead with the local judge. Since he was “allowed” to shoot her, everyone thought she was fair game and she was beaten up a few times. Even her school looked the other way. I made the decision to leave a wonderful job and move far away to a different state to give her a fresh start. Thank goodness my medical license had reciprocity. It was worth it.
  5. @SunnyBeBe I like it . I hope you can find a size so that it looks well tailored on you. I agree with Notabug that it would make you stand out and in a good way. Go for it. When you get it and try it on, you can always go back to a dark neutral if you’re not happy with it.

The Hurricanes have made it to the next stage and play the Rangers next.
  7. I do too. I hope she keeps the next relationship a bit more under wraps, away from the public opinion microscope and it isn’t dependent on drinking together.
  8. Well that’s not right! 😂 (Not judging. You know me well enough)
  9. I seem to remember that Jay Leno did a segment something like this. It was called Jay Walking. I was often surprised at lots of their wrong answers.
  10. @CalicoKitty Wishing you an early Happy Birthday as well as best wishes with your upcoming medical procedure. I feel as though so many of us are friends here (albeit virtually) and truly if this is canceled I would feel the loss in my heart💔
  11. Not much on tv tonight so I tuned in. When watching the first two ladies perform I thought…well this is lackluster.
  12. Sorry to change the subject, but my Pet Peeve right now is loaning a book and not getting it returned. I have a recipe in a cookbook that I loaned. Since it wasn’t returned either I look up a similar recipe online, or buy another copy of the book. It also has happened with other books. What do you do to help remind people to return your books?
  13. 2/5 this week. I think it’ll be a popular table. I don’t know what to bring to the table.
  14. I loved the Moody Blues and always thought they were underrated. RIP and thank you for many hours of enjoyment 🎶💔
  15. Ok. I’m going to have to defend Kelly on the wardrobe issue. I’m extremely small. I am older and by no means can even exercise as much as she can, but I weigh 73 lbs. You have no idea of how difficult it is to find form fitting clothes when you are that thin and have outgrown wearing Frozen, Garanimals and Bambi outfits. It’s hard. Even with tailoring. I once read she wears an outfit and then it goes back for resale. I’m not sure if that still stands true, but that would preclude her being able to have it custom fitted. Do I like all of her outfit choices…no. However she has a stylist and has to chose between what’s given to her. I understand she wants to dress professionally, but let’s be real. I’d be happier (I’m sure she would be too) if she could just wear jeans that fit and a nice top like most of us mere mortals.
  16. I’m sorry to hear about Foo Foo. 😿🌈💔🦴
  17. I wonder if the forensic accountant is going to be able to look at the finances. This is quite the turn of events. Thanks @NowVoyager for even including pictures! I’m interested to see how this turns out.
  18. Fortunately he’s recovered and went to stay with his daughter for the past week. Thank you for asking. That was kind of you to remember.
  19. The latest round of Wendy vs Kelvin https://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2024/04/blind-item-4_20.html It seems he owes her around $112,000. that he was overpaid when he was collecting support from her. Now they want it back. To me it looks like collecting blood from a stone. If he has money I believe it’s in a foreign account where the U.S. authorities can’t collect from. However, I think he spent it trying to keep his mistress happy because when his well went dry she dumped him. I’m sad that most news about her doesn’t seem as though she is sound of mind or able to handle her own affairs. I don’t trust those “handling” her or her family not to keep dipping their hands into her purse. There seems to be little as far as updates or new information about her on any news or gossip sites. I have to wonder if it’s that bad or someone is trying to cover something up.

The Stanley Cup finals are about to begin. The first game are the Carolina Hurricanes vs the NY Islanders in Raleigh, NC.
  22. @Anduin If you have a small collapsible umbrella it might be handy. I usually take a scarf when I travel there because if I can keep my neck warm the rest of my body can usually acclimate. Don’t forget to take important phone numbers, a copy of your passport, insurance information and any medications you take. Plus things like Advil aren’t usually in stock over there. They use paracetamol. I also take some pepto bismol and Imodium just in case. Take a few clothes pins to help you hang sink laundry to dry or keep curtains closed. A few safety pins “in case”. A small baggie will hold all of those items. When you aren’t feeling well you don’t want to have to search for a pharmacy. Enjoy your trip and wave to my relatives please.
  23. I get contact dermatitis from lots of things. I paint the underside with clear nail polish. Sometimes two coats. Skin rash and itching gone.
