  1. I would also appreciate any of this information. So could someone please be kind enough to DM me as well?
  2. 1/5 Thanks to the Rosetta Stone. I was nervous it was going to be another nothing week for me. I’ll bring some extra crispy French Fries with either catsup, mayo or malt vinegar to top them with.
  3. Going to record Jane Pittman tonight. Last night I recorded Moonstruck. It’s supposed to be a rainy weekend.
  4. Well, last night I was told I needed to get something in the mail so it would arrive no later than Tuesday. So I was there at the PO when it opened at 9. I sent it overnight because yesterday when I paid for something to go to Philadelphia ($30) I was told it would not get there until Monday. So today the overnight rate to Denver, CO was $60, but it would be there tomorrow night by 6. Now if they can get something to Denver in 36 hours, why does it take 3 days to get to Philadelphia? I live on the East Coast. The postal system does not make sense nor do they keep to the prices they advertise.
  5. My peeve today is that I went to the post office to mail something overnight. So I selected the correct envelope and form to fill it out. Then I went to the desk and she asked if I wanted to pay for overnight. Duh, that’s what stuff I selected. She then said I had a choice of delivery Saturday or Monday. (This was going to a government agency) I politely asked why it wasn’t able to get there tomorrow. Again she stated my choices and that if I chose Saturday the envelope would not fit in their PO Box. (She was unwilling to answer the question) So basically I had to pay for overnight to get it delivered on Monday. I was there well before noon and wish I had chosen Priority…which who knows if it would have arrived at the same time. 😡
  6. Changing the subject (I hope that’s ok) Lately I’ve been getting into some Turkish television. It all began when I watched a series (The Tailor) on Netflix just to check it out. Well I just came upon a movie they recommended called Paper Lives. It is a tremendous film about street life in Istanbul. The scenery, music and acting help weave together a powerful story about a young abandoned boy who befriends a man who runs a solid waste warehouse. Also it doesn’t hurt that the lead actor, Çagatay Ulusoy is an excellent expressive actor and is very easy on the eyes. It has excellent reviews. It is worth watching if you’re in the mood to try something new or different.
  7. No clue about Clock. I think Spaghetti and Meatballs is Jeremy Allen White. His hit show on Showtime was Shameless and his current hit on Hulu is The Bear where he portrays an Italian chef.
  8. We are a MAGICAL community of support and caring.
  9. Anytime 😊 I’ll make cream puffs for those of us who got 0. They’re round.
  10. 0/5 for me this week. I see that I’m in good company. I’ll bring a salad to go with the quiche.
  11. I don’t think Lindsay is stable enough to marry anyone until she has therapy or an epiphany.
  12. Happy Anniversary @ChiCricket and thank you for sharing your wedding photograph 🥂
  13. I had no clue about that either. Good to know.
  14. I have an older neighbor who I touch base with at 9-10 am and 5pm every day. I also look to make sure the lights are on at night or I go over to check why not. As the Girl Scouts (or is it Boy Scouts?) say: “Be Prepared” If you don’t have someone to make this check system with then I think this service is worth it’s weight “in case”.
  15. @Scarlett45 Welcome home, but I’m sorry you already have to deal with illness. I’m in awe of how much you do and handle, but I’m glad you are willing to enlist a bit of an extra support system. You are the glue that holds everything together.
  16. 1) You could make a lasagna and substitute the turkey for the ground beef. 2) Turkey Sloppy Joes 3) Turkey lettuce wraps 4) A Shepard’s pie using turkey instead of beef 5) Turkey noodle casserole 5) Spaghetti Bolognese (again with turkey instead of beef)
  17. All of you are so fortunate. My brother systematically went through, took what he wanted and then let all of my parents stuff go to where I do not know. I miss having some of the things he tossed. Like her grapefruit knife. Years later he did surprise me by gifting me a bowl that his wife had relegated to the attic. Don’t be sad for me. I have memories and the few things I wanted most. I’m not a greedy person. I just would have like to have the opportunity and some choice.
  18. I read James Patterson’s The Horsewoman. As a former equestrian I think he did a fair job of getting a lot of the facts about horse shows correct, adding a subplot or two that fit into his story, but the ending was hokey. Too down pat and unbelievable. I almost feel as he got to a certain number of pages and then explored the quickest way to tie it all up. I enjoyed it overall, but he lost me the last 100 or so pages. Yesterday I read The Collective by Alison Gaylin. It’s about woman who avenge their children’s deaths by joining a group of similar ladies. I’m still not sure what I thought about it, other than it kept my interest with some chills. It also permeated my dreams and I’m still thinking about it this morning. It would make an interesting movie.
  19. Happy Mother’s Day to all my UK friends 🌸 Hoping everyone got enough sleep last night and has a superb Sunday.
  20. This week I just got 1/5. I pre guessed Ovid on Monday and was correct. I was surprised and now grateful as it saved me from a big 0 donut week.
  21. I finally got to watch this and enjoyed it. I can see why it got a lot of Golden Globe awards as the Foreign Press is probably more understanding about the nudity and sexual nature of Bella’s character than American audiences and Oscar voters.
  22. I’d maybe really happy for spring except the pine trees are getting ready to finish growing their “fingers” and release their lime green pollen that gets all over everything. Annoying to clean as well as setting off allergies.
  23. His name was John and I remember the rumors from then too.
