  1. I liked all of this, too. The other day, I was listening to the episode where Lane has moved back home. I've always loved the way Mrs Kim responds to her pissed off daughter here, but it was only listening the other day, that I heard her excitement/happiness over the dinner she'd made. She was happy to have her daughter back. :) I like her relationship with Zach, too - from threatening him if he touched her daughter, to them being friends. One of my favourite moments is when Richard says to Rory, that he applauds her timing, because it got him out of attending something.
  2. She probably didn't mind, since Rory was running around looking for work, and flying to London for work she already had. She was also her angel child, and didn't know about Logan for most of it (I know she judged her for the affairs, emotional and physical, in the original series). I'll have to watch it again, but Rory only seemed to really panic once the book fell through (I liked the way she started tap dancing when she was on the phone - an indication that she was stressed).
  3. LMAO! Thank you for that. I've been reading about horrifying things that happened in the past, and was just saying I needed to cleanse my brain.
  4. It felt true to me, too. I was disappointed by the affair, though. I thought she'd learned from that when she was younger, and she also wasn't pleased when Logan had many, many blondes for Thanksgiving.
  5. I was just amused by a thought, as I was listening to the June 3rd episode, when Lorelai is going through the list of things that had all gone well, including Sookie okaying a caterer for the wedding. I just thought, "Never!" ;) I actually can't remember if she got better with that sort of thing, but in earlier seasons, she hadn't asked for resumes for chefs to replace her when she was on maternity leave or bed rest, and was apparently crying when she found out that Rory went elsewhere for the world's largest pizza.
  6. She reminds me a bit of the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks. Or someone else I can't put a name to right now. *edit. It might be Busy Phillips I'm thinking of. I don't have the live feeds, I just can't sleep, so I checked this thread out. I didn't finish watching the opening episodes, but have checked the twitter feed mentioned here.
  7. I haven't watched this since the the first season or so. I only watched a bit of it, but I might tune in this time. Someone mentioned Raven in a gastroparesis facebook group, and I recognized Christmas' name from the bookstore. I flipped through book about a month ago.
  8. That's what I thought, with the bit I saw. One of them said something about seven years having passed, and I thought, "And you all look so great. WTF?"
  9. I didn't get through one episode last year. :) My sister will be happy, though - she and her husband liked it.
  10. This got a third season??? I looked up at the TV, and thought the main character looked familiar. I thought this was cancelled last year.
  11. I wondered about this, too. I hope they do bring her family back. I forgot to mention XTC - that was a nice surprise. I was listening to them a few nights ago, including "Dear God".
  12. I don't know. I'm not feeling well, and am really tired. just wondering. The way people were freaking out, I was picturing a mass panic. I forgot I'd even asked the question.
  13. I loved choreographer brain, too, and appreciated the light moment. It was also appropriately creepy, with the "breaking news" and the people crowding in for their vaccines, only to go crazy, running to get away when they heard the news. I had thought it was amusing that the anchor, Johnny Frost, used his job to push ahead of the line - typical of his character - but it tied in well with him giving the awful news. When I asked my question last night, about what they would eat, I hadn't realized that they were trying to keep it in Seattle, so that they'd still have food from people dying naturally (or however they die) every day, without murdering anyone. After so long without brains, they turn into what we see on The Walking Dead, so I didn't see the draw. How are they supposed to stop the rest of the country from just bombing Seattle, though? It felt like a series finale to me, too. They finished filming just before Christmas last year, so they didn't know if they'd be getting a new season.
  14. My DVR didn't record it. :( I'll have to catch it on demand, or their app. I wondered if Ravi would be scratched, or turned somehow. If they cause an outbreak, that could kill everyone, and are willingly scratching some people, who would be left to... eat?? They've stuck with them eating the brains of those who died naturally, or were murdered (by someone else, when it comes to those who aren't Blaine).
  15. Except for the bit that looks like a Loreal or Maybelline commercial, with the hair slowly flipping back from his face. "Maybe he's born with it..." I am looking forward to the movie, though.
  16. It looks like they have the first three episodes on the website. I'm watching this on the app. The dog dying upset me, too.
  17. And then one person would have known something was really wrong, paid attention, and end up trying to find the creature that poisoned you. There would also be a young, new reporter, trying to get their foot in the door - hot on the trail of the creature, or whomever is killing people - and an older, veteran reporter helping them. They won't be believed until it's (almost) too late. Same usually goes for catching a regular, rich bad guy.
  18. That's when I changed my mind about any ulterior motives for sleeping with her. It is clear when she's having a vision. I just wondered if she had any memories of her own in that vein, if it would stop a vision from being triggered.
  19. I also wondered if he killed Ravi's former boss. If they slept together, I thought that might be one reason he'd hit on Liv (figuring she'd eaten her brain, and would have a vision featuring him, so he slept with her to make it her own memory). He probably would have prompted a vision before they even got out of the bar, though, if that were the case. Those visions at the beginning, and her reactions, were hilarious.
  20. I'm English-American, and it's weird reading about how people would be offended to be considered either one, depending on where they're from. :) I add a smile, but I don't like that we're seen so poorly by some. I don't remember England being considered a part of Europe, we just had great access to it. I was there before the EU came into being, though, as far as I remember. I think Alaska and Hawaii were spared, and that Gilead is comprised of the remaining States. Here you go: http://the-handmaids-tale.wikia.com/wiki/Republic_of_Gilead I've only skimmed so far, but it looks like the entire country is the Republic of Gilead.
  21. I like that actresses over 40 are being featured, as well.
  22. Luke should have defended Lorelai, introduced her, and presented a united front. His actions weren't those of a committed partner. Not really.
  23. Except I think that Lorelai told Anna that they were engaged, and she said that it still wasn't enough: they weren't married. Then Luke freaked out on her for going to see Anna at all (he handled it all wrong, as well - the whole thing).
  24. Every religion has their extremists, and Christianity is no different. I think it's very clear that they are extremists.
