These Spoilers Suck: Bitter Speculation About SPN Spoilers
catrox14 replied to catrox14's topic in Supernatural
It doesn't surprise me since I thought his Dean in ScoobyNatural was not that great. That he made him fun, sympathetic, empathetic and not skeevy in Last Call was surprising. Maybe Steve Yockey helped him with Last Call. Or Dabb slapped his hand for not completely making Dean a douchebag idiot in Last Call. -
Yeah, that article is from the former spoiler sheet gal, and yes, she was imo, a Cas girl, or at least catered to the Castiel crowd. And she was a Destiel leaning gal, who got in a whole pot of hot water with Destiel shippers, be they low key or hardcore, because she, IMO, more or less implied Destiel was gonna be Canon. Seems to me once she got her credentials as a "journalist" she is changing her tune. Maybe her piece is actually about herself.

I think it's interesting that Jensen called Eric Kripke to discuss his reaction to the ending. Eric's answer was that Jensen was too close the material. I want to know how Jensen could talk to Kripke about it and does this indicate that Kripke will have a hand in the series end? I always thought that was curious. I think he would be okay with Dean dying if it's done the right way.

The entire premise makes no sense. It reminds me of the stupid reverse the polarity shit with Crowley and Lucifer. So stupid

This is exactly what got me thinking. I would be thrilled for even a fraction of that.

So then Cas could still take on the Mark down the line.

I've been thinking about this for awhile and I've come to the point that I want Dean to die. I want him mourned and memorialized. And really most sincerely dead without any way for him to be resurrected. I don't want anyone else to ever play or be cast as Dean again. His story is over and I want no loopholes that allow a young Dean or and old Den or any other multiverse Dean. That's all I want for Dean and Jensen.

I like to think J2 decided to camp it up because they thought it was ridiculous.

IMO, 'I failed you' is a non apology. Sure, Cas admitted his failure, yet he never said he was sorry for betraying Dean.He never said he was sorry for hurting Dean. Dean actually has said the words "I'm sorry " several times in the past. The difference is this time Dean reached his limit when it came to Mary. Dean was mean, yet he never told Cas to leave. Instead of Cas standing up for himself at that moment he pouted and left. So to me, Dean is being way magnanimous about Cas, because he's family. Cas left on his own. And he could have come back on his own and I highly doubt Dean would have refused him to come home.

This was stupid. I never thought I'd be off the Destiel ship and yet here I am about ready to jump. This season is ruining Cas for me. He was such a dick. Why the fuck is Dean the one being hel responsible for not stopping a grown ass man from leaving of his own free will? I have never wanted to see Dean punch Cas like I did in this episode. Cas can fuck right off. And it breaks my shipper heart to say this. I really don't know what has happened to Jared's acting chops because they don't seem to exist anymore. He was awful in every scene. I do have two positive comments. Jensen once again turns shit writing into something nearly palatable and Dean telling Chuck to fuck off was great RIP Benny.

I think it's to get Dean out of the way for Sam and Eileen. And for Dean to say whatever he says to Cas. But mostly to advance Sam and Eileen The weird thing is Sam basically resurrected Eileen for himself in a way, which if she is his end game mate, is kinda icky.

Oliver died so many times in this crossover he is an honorary Winchester by now. Man, I cried and I don't really even know why, other than it's really ending....and I am still not ready.

Nothing has ever been stated nor implied in Canon either via text nor subtext that John knew before the events of Song remains the Same, which they undid when John's memory was wiped by OG!Michael.

Nope.

The importance and power of the Mark with the First Blade along with Dean's rationale for taking on the Mark, were made clear in First Born. Dean was told by Crowley it was the way to kill Abbadon, which has been Dean's mytharc throughout the back half of s9 thus far. That is why it's not a Macguffin, nor a deus ex machina, nor any other theory one can come up with to reduce or minimize th significance of it within s9 in and of itself. It's a solid mytharc which was setup 20 episodes ago, showed the impact it had on Dean, and fulfilled it's purpose as stated in EP 9.11 within this episode.

The weapon had no real power without the MoC, be it on Dean or Cain for that matter. They work together through the person who has the Mark. I don't see how it's either a MacGuffin or anything other than an actual plot line for Dean. He is superpowered here basically, which is the entire point of him having the Mark and the First Blade...so he could kill Abbadon. No different than Sam being Lucifer's vessel to fight Michael in s5. I mean in a show about supernatural beings that have more power than a human, yes, the human needs some advantage. The Mark is the advantage.
