  1. I don't think those are equivalent situations though. Team Richonne and Daryl were actively being attacked and had to defend themselves in order to stop an in-progress sexual assault and an in-progress attempted murder. The only thing David and Karen were guilty of was being sick just like Glenn and the others. Unfortunately, Carol made an assumption that David and Karen would not recover from the illness before all the evidence was available to her. The evidence that Joe's gang was going to rape Carl and Michonne and murder them along with Daryl and Rick was clear and was already in progress and it was kill or be killed right then and there. Karen and David still could have recovered and been no threat to the group but they weren't given that chance. ETA: I also don't think Rick made the decision to banish Carol lightly. I think he felt a lot of sadness but thought it needed to be done. He was also worried that Tyreese was going to kill Carol. I do think he'll appreciate that Carol and Tyreese took care of Judith and he might regret banishing Carol since Tyreese forgave her, but I don't think Rick should regret his decision to banish Carol based on the evidence he had at the time and her confession.
  2. I hate that Sue Ellen is back to being a stumbling drunk and I hate that JohnRoss had Sue Ellen forcibly sent to a rehab facility. That said, I am really loving Josh Henderson's work as John Ross. IMO that fight between John Ross and Sue Ellen was heartbreaking. I thought Henderson really portrayed the inner conflict John Ross has over wanting to be like his Dad and not wanting to be anything like his Dad especially those sides that remind Sue Ellen of JR. I think John Ross does love Sue Ellen and I do believe that he partly does want her to stop drinking and be okay, but that manipulative side that he gets from JR is still driving him, along with everyone saying he's just like his father. Also, did I hear them right that it's only 2 more episodes for this season?
  3. I can't concur that Rick is a monster now. It took Daryl being nearly beaten to death, a gun to his own head, the combined threat of sexual assault and murder of Michonne and an actual sexual assault on his own son in front of his eyes to spur him into that act of self-defense using the only tool he had at his disposal. I think he's still well far from monster territory. I think he's just not going to feel bad about it taking extreme measures anymore. Nor should he.
  4. Oh Andrew Lincoln:) I love how posh he really seems to be and my brain still trips when he's speaking with his normal accent. He's pretty great. I loved the bit with the gal on Skype with the nod to him in Love Actually.
  5. I have never been happier to be wrong about a possible character death as I was tonight. I kept thinking Rick was a goner, but nope, he's alive and more badass than ever. I totally did not see Rick ever ripping a guy's throat out with his teeth. That was awesome. I'm pretty excited for next season now.
  6. I agree. It's in my top 5 TW episodes in spite of the stupid kidnapping resolution and the weird time-travel continuity barf. It was beautiful and let me know that you know what, Jack Harkness has put up with a lot of shit from the people that supposedly loved him in his life. :(. Poor Jack.
  7. herdrakness, get out of my head! I loved that wink in PoNR. But I loved the shift in Dean's face and that change in his eye that immediately preceded the wink. Like how the hell does Ackles do that? In one moment, he went from "I've given up, there is no hope...to 'holy shit, fuck this" wink and then kills Zachariah. You could actually see the shift in Dean's perspective just played out in that one look. That was just something else. So Great!
  8. I think that was an acting choice by JA. It quickly reminded me that "Oh yeah! Dean is a veteran pool shark and of course he'd rack the balls like a boss. So great!
  9. I'm hoping beyond hope that Sam is concerned for Dean's well-being and his well-being alone. But I have to admit that I'm also pinging a little bit that Sam's side-eying Dean is not necessarily out of brotherly love and concern for Dean. I really hope I'm wrong but man, I don't think that glimpse of Sam reading about Cain and Abel on his laptop was for nothing. The common lore is that Cain murdered Abel because God loved Abel more. Right now, only Dean and Crowley know that Cain killed Abel to ensure Abel's entrance into Heaven (unless Cain was lying and I don't think he was). AFAIK, Sam doesn't know that the conventional lore isn't true, so I'm thinking he's sizing up Dean and measuring whether he needs to make a preemptive strike. :(. I can't remember Dean telling Sam about the reversal of the lore. Does anyone else remember? I really want to be disabused of my notion on this matter.
  10. This episode was so good. Dean playing pool whilst trying to keep his cool and being snarked at by Crowley is a show in and of itself and I would pay good money to watch that and only that. Ackles and Sheppard are just so fantastic together.
  11. I really liked Brad the Bartender. I wish we had seen more of him...and by more I mean his character not full frontal(which I would not have minded either because based on his full rear-all...please and thank you!). It can't be easy to show up on set and make sexytimes with John Barrowman. Okay well that probably is easy but you know what I mean! Even in that short time frame, I thought Dillon Casey did a good job giving Brad some kind of perspective and personality. If they ever do another series, I'd love for him to make an appearance again. And based on his role in Nikita, he'd make a great Torchwood agent. Oh, Miracle Day. What a sad waste of such a potentially brilliant story. There were some really great things about it and some really terrible things. Hmmm, now that I think about it, it was pretty much Torchwood all the way!
  12. Congratulations! We seem to have made the same journey to the SPN world at roughly the same time! I, too, started watching it over the holidays but caught up to watch live about a month ago. And I, too, feel your pain and sadness that I didn't know of the marvel that is Jensen Ackles/Dean Winchester either. But we know now and can be happy for that.
  13. Hey SleepyHeads! Nice to see us all gathering here. Also, I'm having serious Hollowithdrawal:(
  14. Hello everyone. TWoP refugee (poster formerly known as sdcat2009 or informally Cat). It feels weird to be able to speculate and discuss spoilers in the same place. I hope I don't violate any rules or norms. If I do, please let me know what to do to meet the standards :) Regarding "King of the Damned". When I saw that title, my heart sank and I felt sick to my stomach, because I immediately jumped to it being potentially being Dean. From a performance standpoint this whole MoC is giving Jensen some of his best material in a few seasons(thank goodness) yet because he's been so outstanding, I alternately can't wait to see it and dread how it's going to make me feel. So, yay? I think it's possible Omundson could make an appearance as Cain only based Omundson tweets of himself and that he's currently still sporting that magnificent beard. Maybe, he'll save Dean from becoming the King of the Damned?
  15. Oh man, captanne, you really should put warnings on those. I cannot unsee that! LOL Anyway, I cannot fathom any other actors playing Jack or Ianto. Like my brain say, nope, nope, nope. Does not compute. They made those characters what they were in spite of the writing.
  16. Hi all! Another TWoPer. Glad to see we have a full Arrow forum here at previously.tv! That's pretty exciting. I'm the poster formerly known as Cat (and well still am really )
  17. Hi everyone! It's Cat from TWoP. Thanks to captanne for starting this thread!
  18. Hi All. TWoP refugee. So happy to have a place to talk about my current obsession. I just came into SPN in the past few months and holy crap, I'm addicted. It may be starting to become a problem.
