  1. No they haven't killed off all the female characters. I was just citing a case of two characters the audience outright hated and made it known.
  2. Supernatural got rid of a couple of female characters because they were loathed by the audience.
  3. Article about Supernatural in the NY Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/20/arts/television/secrets-to-the-long-life-of-supernatural.html?_r=0
  4. Maybe I'm not following what you mean here, but I'm not sure I believe that this isn't Laurel's agency. She's had choices all along to not drink, to not take pills, to forgive Oliver/Sara or not, to blackmail the DA or not so for me her decision to not tell about Oliver is just another choice she's making. She might be influenced by her father's words but in the end it's still her decision. No one is actively making her not do it. Or am I misunderstanding what you mean?
  5. I have been thinking non-stop about this stupid thing with the Abaddon bargaining chip. I went so far as to read the Supernatural wiki about Crowley and Abaddon. /smh at myself. I currently have a couple of theories rolling around in my head. 1) I'm starting to wonder if the MoC has already made Dean powerful enough to kill her without the Blade but neither he nor Crowley know this, but Abaddon might know or at least fear it. So she would be willing to give up control in exchange for the heads of Dean and Sam regardless of the presence of the Blade. 2)Maybe Crowley already knows this but is keeping it from Dean. I think back to his remarks to his demon minion in Mother's Little Helper. I think it could be kind of cool if the First Blade is nothing more than a MacGuffin and that Dean is the "First Blade" at this point. I dunno, just thinking how they could throw us a curveball on that. 3) I cannot forget Cain telling Dean that the Mark has a burden 'a cost some would say'. I've long been worried that the ultimate torture for Dean is immortality. I don't believe he wants to live forever especially as a monster. I couple that with Gadreel's line about the boys thinking they are invincible and I'm thinking it's not a throwaway line used only as a way of mocking the boys. if Dean is on the verge of immortality maybe Abaddon wants to kill him before that happens so she would bargain with Crowley. Another thing that has been bugging me for a while now is the fact that some of Gadreel's grace is still inside Sam. I've had some thoughts that Sam is still being affected by it. There have been some peculiar moments of JP's acting that seemed off even after they extracted most of the grace. Could Gadreel and Sam align in an effort to kill Metatron? Maybe I'm naive but I feel like there were seeds planted throughout the season wherein something is said or something happens seem important in the moment but have not been addressed since will become important for the finale and for s10.
  6. Laurel is still the worst. IMO, she isn't in love with Oliver, she is in the love with idea of the Arrow. And now Oliver is just the best because he's the Arrow? WTF ever writers. I hated that hugging scene so much. My unfounded speculation is that all the shit Laurel said about Sarah stealing her life is still in her mind and her heart. I think she doesn't think she is as good as Sarah and I think she envies her being a Hero too. Or at least, I hope that's how it goes. That smile on her face when she got her way with the DA was kind of smug and slightly sinister so as for her being a good girl now. I don't buy it.
  7. Could her bargaining chip be Crowley's son or some other child? Maybe she'll give him control over Hell if he kills Sam and Dean?
  8. SueB, I am right there with you with Competent Dean kink. Although, to be fair, I pretty much have a kink for about anything Dean does. Also, his hands. I am fascinated with this hands and eyelashes. I can't help but wonder if for some reason that makes no sense we might be afforded a flashback to Dean and Benny in Purgatory because vampires!
  9. But Cas/Cass isn't Cass-ie. Anyway, I guess we need a nitpick and annoyance thread!
  10. I don't understand why the writers use Cass not Cas, I mean there is only one S in Castiel. Why add another one? I wonder how Misha spells it.
  11. I'm totally confused by Metatron, who I hate with the fire of every sun in every universe in every alternate universe ever. Ugh. But I am now officially scared for Dean. The fact that Cas is freaked out about the Mark of Cain can't be a good thing. Dean is changing. Jensen seems to be infusing Dean with something I've not seen before. When he's slipping into the effects of the MoC he doesn't quite sound like Dean and he doesn't quite carry himself the same way. But man, that look on his face when he was in the hallway after nearly not killing Gadreel, I was gutted. He's suffering and confused. And I'm sure he's starting to regret it somewhere in his mind. But man Jensen is just terrific and it's beautiful. I couldn't help but ping on a bit of dialogue from Gadreel about Dean being invincible. And the reiteration of the idea of Dean being unable to be alone. I don't think that was for nothing. I have a terrible feeling this will end up with Dean being immortal and terribly alone roaming the earth. They wouldn't do that to him would they? I'm grateful we got that. Jensen is such a tease. He knows exactly how much to give us to keep us wanting more.
  12. Ugh. That is the LAST thing I wanted to hear from the producers. I'm just flummoxed as to what information they have that tells them that THIS Laurel and THIS Oliver should be an end game. As much as I adore Stephen Amell and everything else that they have done right with this show to make it my current favorite show, trying to push Lauriver on me is going to send me running. And IMO it's a disservice to Caity Lotz and the entire show to push Laurel into either the BC role or Oliver's girlfriend again.
  13. She was evil already. She used the pregnancy to get her powers back. She raped Hank, put Juliette in a coma which nearly killed etc etc. Whether it was at Renard's urging doesn't change her complicity in the acts. So whilst I can feel sorry for her for her baby being taken away, I don't feel think it's necessarily wrong that they took it to protect it.
  14. I know. I just never heard it before. Either way, it's stuck in my brain forever.
  15. Well, I can no longer hear the Mad Men theme without meowing it in my head and possibly aloud now. Thanks for that Chris! LOL
  16. It just seems like no one should ever have a wedding in Game of Thrones. Don't RIP Joffrey.
  17. I was trying to play it cool and not admit that I may or may not have voted an unreasonable number of times for Jensen.
  18. This is totally silly but Jensen is once again in the finals for Alpha Male Madness, but the race is neck and neck with that guy from Beauty and the Beast. Vote here if you feel so compelled :)
  19. L Oh, gosh. I laughed long and hard at that. That was fantastic
  20. Wait, so is this baby going to end up being ....Princess Diana?
  21. Ha! I got my Renard/Viktor face off! Thank you, Grimm writers! And it was everything I thought it would be even if not shirtless. Also, what is it with Alexis Denisoff and stealing babies? LOL Also, I felt bad for Adalind because Claire Coffee really sold me on her grief and anger. I knew it was Monroe because even speaking German is voice was the same. But I have to say I didn't see that ambush coming so well played on that show! All in all, good episode.
  22. I just really struggle with them trying to turn her into Black Canary. And honestly, I'm not sure I could stay with the show if they go that direction. I think playing a snarky, duplicitous character is in Cassidy's wheelhouse (based on her role as Ruby in SPN). I could live with her becoming a snide villain who still carries around the bitter pill of "Sarah took my whole life" and then Laurel would spend her time trying to ruin Sarah and Oliver's life by partnering with Slade Wilson. Go villain or go home :)
  23. Re Henriksen. Agree that he is a great loss. I read that Jus In Bello was written as a possible series finale because of the imminent writer's strike coupled with not being sure they would even get a s4. They managed to get 2 more episodes for that strike shortened seasons.
  24. Okay Dean's "I am going to murder you now" face should not be that hot.
