  1. I just love Samurai World. I think this has become my favorite episode of this season thus far. I watched the behind the scenes for this episode and it definitely made me enjoy it even more. I thought Thandie Newton’s Japanese sounded pretty but I am quite happy to hear that it sounded correct to Japanese speakers as well. I found out it was more of Japanese of that time period but her accent was good. That made me really appreciate this even more I like touches like that even if I cannot tell the correctness of the accent Japanese speakers can and appreciated it.
  2. Eddy is dealing with alot. Lyn is a mess, she seems to be the type who just has a self induced crisis every 0.4 seconds. She is lucky that Johnny's girlfriend is pregnant because I have the feeling she'd have got a beatdown in the street. How old is Mari supposed to be because if she's sixteen like I believe I hope that the guy she's with is the same age or else that would be child porn, that he's taping them engaging in a sexual act is bad enough since too many times women get revenge porned and are blamed after a breakup.
  3. The music was a really creepy instrumental version of Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana I was like I totally know that song why does this sound familiar. I love this show I cannot wait to visit Shogun World.
  4. According to the gossip blogs her parents want her to be cast in more grown up roles and want her to appear to be older so she can be offered these type of roles. I hope this is not true and she has a stylist who is inconsistent in the pieces that they choose because too many child stars have been through crappy childhoods with parents messed up priorities.
  5. The first thing I thought when I saw Niecy Nash’s dress was BOOBS. The dress was beautiful and I loved the color on her but her boobs were pretty front and center to say the least she carried it well and she has nice boobs so I guess she saw the benefit in showcasing them. Millie Bobbie Brown looked so cute with her hair in the little rolled buns.
  6. Have Dallas Bryce Howard and Jessica Chastain play sisters in anything. I always have to pay attention when either is in a movie I spent the entirety of Jurassic World thinking Howard was Chastain and when I was explaining to my friend my difficulty with the female lead corrected my misapprehension. I know I am not the only person who has done this.
  7. I loved Angie’s dress it’s very ‘70’s. It reminds me of a dress I saw of Gladys Knight back in the day. I like the disco diva look.
  8. One thing I have always loved about Oprah is that she was always able to be compassionate about people who have struggled in difficult times. Reese Taylor lived in a time when her abduction and gang rape after church (Oprah made sure that was stated) by six white men would not be treated with any degree of seriousness she knew she would not see any justice for her pain and suffering. This is a real crime that happened to an actual woman. Oprah was able to tell that woman’s story and give women many in that room who had been victims themselves and women who were watching, women who will hear about this speech and seek it out, to the women and young women and girls who struggle in so many ways that there is hope, by speaking out we might not be able to fix our situation but our struggles might help others. Times they are a changing and through all the darkness Hope.
  9. Just got back from seeing this movie it is an awesome origin story. Gadot and Jenkins got the character right, Diana is so many things, a trained warrior, princess and outside of her home both powerful yet naive. I loved Chris Pine as Steve Trevor he was very much an agent he was very much suave and debonair while as well being sincere and heroic. It was not a "dark" movie like Batman vs. Superman it was light and beautiful in Themyscira and there is color and more natural color in this movie I liked this better.
  10. I don't think that we are supposed to like her. She is a link to Shadow's past and he's going in a different direction now. How she died was unseemly and very pubically uncomfortable for him getting away especially since he had been in prison means that making a drastic change in direction for him was an easy choice to make. I don't like Laura because she made shitty decisions, she is literally dead and Shadow has other priorities now. Her death parted them, it's in the vows and everything. Gillian Anderson is very good here the makeup department is doing a bang up job with her. I think the thing that attacked the police at the station was the forgotten god from the opening. He "died" at that tree, Wednesday, Media, World and the other rumblings may have woke him up. I didn't notice the hour sliding away during this episode I was so totally entranced.
  11. Cookie is loyal to Lucious and the family to her own detriment. She needs someone to be loyal to only her. Lucious cannot be that person. I always thought that Billy Baretti was in love with Cookie he always brought her up when he did not need to he always seemed to want to have to interact with her he always mentions her to Lucious for no reason at all. I think someone like that someone who is powerful enough in his own right someone who will appreciate Cookie's loyalty and not be intimidated by her ex husband or their relationship is what she needs. Angelo could not be that person because he was intimidated by Cookie's relationship with Lucious. It can be intimidating because Cookie's truly ride or die hold you down she needs someone who would appreciate her and show her that she's appreciated.
  12. GotG Vol.1 soundtrack was excellent nearly everyone I know loved it and I know I made sure to get it after the movie. It really made the movie for me because it really made everything fit together perfect and it made all the emotional beats impactful.
  13. He was cute when he was younger but I like a more finished look he was just too cute, and baby faced for me to find attractive. I like him better now he's got lines on his face he is matured and I find that attractive.
  14. I had never found Ethan Hawke attractive until I saw him in the Magnificent Seven remake. He finally looks like a man to me when he was younger I just found him to be unfinished looking or something he needed time to look more adult. The gold tooth and Byung-hun Lee helped as well. I actually would pay cash money to see the movie about how they met and their adventures through the old West because honestly every time his character smiled and I got to see that gold tooth it really made the movie for me, that and Byung-hun Lee because he is just too gorgeous.
  15. Exactly all Miscavige had to do was say "Shelly is is Bolivia helping children learn to read using the works of LRH," Leah would have not even batted an eye I think after all Miscavige is Scientology's pope she would not have any reason to think he was lying about anything. Miscavige is such an arrogant ass though he did not take Leah seriously and actually punished her for asking for her friend especially since she saw him with another woman at such an important Scientology event.
  16. I cannot stand Jennifer put a bra on Anniston. I guess she's an A cup so her girls are not on her knees but those sacks of skin still need to be in a holder of some type, I was throwing out my Entertainment Weeklies and she was on the cover for that Christmas movie she was in, white sleeveless sweater no bra. I'm happy for her she close to 50 and she looks okay but put a bra on lady. Every red carpet event the same stupid dress and no bra I know she's not Sophia Lauren but after a certain age do not leave the house without a bra on.
  17. I am so obsessed with this series it is not even funny. I watched this all day Monday completely enraptured. I think Leah was completely right to get out and to think all of this would have been no issue is Miscavige had just told Leah that Shelly was building homes for the disadvantaged in Peru or something. I think for many people coming to terms with sexuality that is not completely heterosexual is difficult and for people who came of age when Travolta and Cruise did it may not have had the best connotations. Auditing is just another version of "pray away the gay," it will not cure cancer it will not fix that either.
  18. I like all types of music so it is nice to see 90's hits together even though when the same songs were on MTV they may not have aired together in the same block outside of TRL. Growing up oldies meant 70's then 80's music and thanks to my parents (teens during the 70's) I really like the music of that period it's just that I didn't think my music would be oldies yet because many artists of that period are still making music if they had not died due to heroin overdose or being shot. I mean Daft Punk is still making extraordinary music but then so are the Stones so I guess they still have a long ways to go.
  19. Of course the charlatans Louis Farrakhan and David Miscavige are in bed with each other. My mom was friends with a woman who was in NOI every word out of her mouth was repeated from Hon. Elijah Mohammed or Dr. Farrakhan. They are both cult leaders even though NOI was about helping poor black people from what my mother's friend said they did not much care for the "white devil," so I am guessing there must have been some sort of financial incentives for Farakhan to align himself with Scientology.
  20. I am sadly officially old. VH1 Classic has become MTV Classic Pearl Jam, Presidents of the United States, and Notorious B.I.G. all just graced my television screen you live long enough the music of your teens will become "oldies." I had been told as much but I really didn't believe it.
  21. I finally got to see Rogue One and I loved it. It really fit in right before episode IV and I do confess I teared up at the end when Leia got the information it really didn't hit me until then that she is really dead. I just loved the cast I also loved the scenery the planets were distinct and each place had it's own feel. Jyn's journey to save what was left of her family in such desperate times was so very human. She wanted to save her father, her father wanted to save the rebellion. I like that this was a discrete story because we know why it happened and we know the consequences of it as well. Kylo Ren would have to get up extra early get in all his evil laugh practice and evil mirror posing and he still would not be one quarter evil cool as Darth Vader. That "battle" at the end when he takes on the rebel soldiers just shows how dangerous one jedi could be and Vader was just awesome doing it. Ren should just hang up his helmet and take up moisture farming because compared to Vader he's just pathetic.
  22. The thing is that they will HAVE TO make a change and it is not a matter of wanting to learn but it is a matter of needing to learn. My mother has been cooking for over 40 years food service has been her entire career, from making wedding cakes, catering parties and cooking full time in a kitchen. My mother went back to school last year and got her GED, got certified to do X-Rays, phlebotomy and nurse's aide she did it because she HAD TO she did well actually and is in the process of transitioning jobs it is very difficult to do my mom was awesome at what she did and she's moved into another field because that's where the work is. I am sorry for blue collar white men who do coal mining jobs now but that is currently not the future and they have to give up this idea of the world belonging only to them. The world is leaving them behind because they cannot change, and if they cannot change with it then they deserve to be left behind. I have a little empathy for them but only a little there are blue collar jobs that are manual labor jobs that need to be done here in the United States, there is an entire energy grid that needs to be upgraded, we as a country need to work on our energy independence solar, wind farms, and other forms of green energy that need to be built, and maintained which can help make an impact and bring jobs into these areas everyone needs power but their minds are stuck on coal because that's what dad and grandad did, coal also killed them but they don't think about that.
  23. The GOP will replace Obamacare with prayer. You can pray you won't get sick and if you have a preexisting condition you can try praying it away, this is a Christian nation don't you know, Jesus will be the only health care provider you will ever need. Unless you are a GOP congressional representative then you get taxpayer subsidized healthcare forever.
  24. I'm tired of paying ungrateful children's bills New York gets back much less than we send to the feds and I am tired of paying for stuff in Alabama since they hate me. I will be writing to Chuck Schumer and asking him to get back as much of that money here to New York and California should too we're paying the bills of "real America" and we shouldn't have to. I hate being that parent paying the bills, and rent for ungrateful children they should pull up their own bootstraps West Virginia you are on your own.
  25. I started watching Bong Appetite on this channel. I quite like it, I like cooking shows and even though I don't care much for weed it is interesting to see how innovative people are being with it as an ingredient.
