  1. I am surprised that Nicole Kidman can act at all. Her face is so odd now. I don’t know if it’s fillers, Botox, or a face lift or a combination but her face looks like motion capture. Her face moves very much like the young Princess Leia or Tarkin in Rogue One.
  2. I wasn’t interested in this movie but I might have gone to see it in theaters but then I saw Javier Bardem is playing King Daddy and now I have to go see this movie in theaters. Disney knows how to snatch my $$$.
  3. This episode might be my favorite of the season. It’s just like Linda to be still mad over having been woken up by the kids when they were tinies and crying. I was so entranced by the story it felt like it went by so fast because it was so good.
  4. I wish they would use outdoor spaces like in Andor. I loved the volume but it really limits how scenes get filmed because it is a smaller space than would be available on a bigger soundstage like the one that was used in Andor for the Ferrix set.
  5. Like Vel tells Cassian everyone has their own rebellion and like Cinta tells Vel the rebellion comes first everything else comes after. Mon’s living that every day. Blame shifting and stabbing each other in the back is very much within the wheelhouse of everyone in the ISB. In Rogue One Krennic does the majority of the legwork to find Gaylen Erso to get him to work on the Death Star. Once that was finished and working properly Tarkin and Vader were more than ready to take all of the credit for getting it finished from the emperor.
  6. Mon Mothma’s situation is a consequence of her marrying young. She was basically married to the most popular guy in high school. That guy peaked in high school and it was all downhill from there but she was not given a choice she got married because of tradition and she has use for her useless husband right now but honestly she knows people if she was tired enough of her husband she could have insured him to the hilt and have him “accidentally” fall into a sarlacc pit. People grow up and grow apart that happens because people change but in Mon’s case her status itself is a trap. Mon is in a difficult spot because she has nowhere where she is not wearing a mask. The danger in her life comes from all sides personal and professional. I love it because it shows that everyone has dangers of different variations going on. Mon going off to lead in the rebellion is something that frees her in a way. She was in a great deal of danger from the emperor but she was finally living her truth, she was a rebel from very early in the rebellion and by admitting it, by embracing it publicly she is free. I don’t know what it means for her husband and daughter but she has to give them up and like Luthen said she has to sacrifice something for everyone else to be free in her case it’s her family.
  7. I liked the Mon Mothma character because she was integral to the development of the rebellion. She believed in the rebellion so much that she funded it with her own money. She was not just a leader in the rebellion because she gave nice speeches but because she believed in the cause so much she helped to pay for it. The rebel ships, bases, blasters, paying snitches was not free the money had to come from somewhere and much of the money for the early rebellion came from her own family fortune. Han Solo got a reward for helping blow up the Death Star where did that money come from? We see the rebel ships, pilots and bases in A New Hope we see the people that get to be heroes but the money that paid those things, the people that built the foundations that the rebellion was built upon we never thought about it this part of the Star Wars universe expands on all of that. Mon Mothma was that lady in white that gave Luke Skywalker an opportunity to become a hero of the rebellion but Luke couldn’t do that without her first believing in that rebellion and getting it off the ground.
  8. Did the Bob’s Burgers movie reinvigorate the show’s writers because honestly this season has been stellar. I just need a Boys 4 Now episode and this season will be perfect. This episode absolutely made me cry. Linda is seriously invested in all her children’s artistic endeavors they have three kids and it’s two parents for three events. I loved this episode so much.
  9. This final episode of Season 1. Lifted but also grounded. Everything is set up for Season 2 but it’s also satisfying anyway. I am so happy Cassian got Bix out of the hands of the Empire. He’s trying to ensure that people will not have to pay for his actions. I know that it hurt him to miss his mom’s passing but she had plans and brought from beyond the grave flames to ignite the sparks of rebellion for her people, planet and son. Mon Mothma is as ruthless as Luthen in so many ways. Her husband’s gambling problem is both a way for her to get cover for the money missing from her accounts but it also gives cover to her “introduction” of her teen daughter to the son of a gangster. She can shore up legitimacy for illegitimate actions by putting more obvious explanations in the forefront, like Cassian told Luthen the Empire is lazy and will take the obvious answer because what else can be going on.
  10. I love this show more and more every week. Luthen’s ship is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I swear Diego Luna projects every emotion with his face without ever having to speak a word. I was on the edge of my seat through this entire episode because there are so many swords in the air and one wrong move.
  11. Exactly. It was made the story feel a bit unbalanced to me because Mycroft was in the first movie and as someone who has read the Enola books and has watched Sherlock Mycroft is still present in both his siblings lives and as a person with connection to the British government it’s odd that he was not at all involved when Enola was arrested. It feels off that he has no mention that I recall in this show
  12. Was I the only one yelling at the screen: Where’s Mycroft? Enola gets arrested and he is not involved? Is he off in the colonies or doesn’t have proper rank yet because he would have never let it get to the point where she would be hauled off. Did I miss a mention somewhere? I enjoyed the movie anyway I definitely enjoyed the mystery.
  13. Mon’s busy with her senate job and in the middle of a brewing rebellion so I get why her daughter has such distance from her plus I think the daughter believes that her mother is having an affair with an ex-boyfriend. I feel sorry about that relationship but there’s so much going on in Mon’s life something had to give and her family life was it. Basically there’s no out for the prisoners. They were supposed to release a prisoner and he got sent back so they killed an entire floor of people when the prisoners found out. Cassian’s supervisor realized he ain’t getting out of that prison and is on board for the prison break.
  14. I believe that Mon Mothma and her husband are pretty well off. Their marriage might be an arranged marriage set up by both families to cement an alliance or bring together a business venture or some such thing. They could have been friends that agreed to that sort of marriage at fifteen because don’t we know everything when we are fifteen. Now that it’s many years later and they have different priorities their marriage is not the same. I just hope she has insured him well because she can use every cent she can lay her hands on to support the rebellion and her husband’s interest in her business might make him another loose ends to tie up.
  15. I am not worried about Mon Mothma because I know she makes it further into the timeline of the rebellion but I am worried about her friend because it looks like her husband is jealous and if he’s jealous it might be dangerous for her friend. I don’t trust her husband at all and it seems like he might have said something about her and her friend to their daughter based on how she reacted when she saw her them talking.
  16. I love Gene. He’s on a boat working on his tan, he’s going to do him and that’s perfect. I love that Tina and Zeke are there to support and be good friends for Jimmy Jr.
  17. Everyone has been in love with the costumes on Andor. Everyone in the recaps I have seen have complimented the costuming on the show and that woman in the red coat with the hood has ignited frantic screencap searches. I will not be surprised to see someone wearing it at Comic Con next year.
  18. I love that after three kids and many years of marriage they still are attracted to each other, have fun together and enjoy having sex with each other. It’s refreshing to see a healthy marriage on screen where the couple supports each other and their kids as much as the Belchers do.
  19. I like the anthology episodes because it gives us a chance to see the characters in other genres and costumes. Plus the anthology episode gave me one of my favorite dances The Hieney Liney and Grandpa Bob as a sheriff with a giant partner.
  20. I don’t think Tina’s going to give up on Jimmy until he comes out and has a boyfriend. I love that the entire family is so supportive of each other. I think Louise will end up doing something interesting with her life. I definitely think Gene will be a musician, Tina I think will write terrible bodice rippers that will be quite popular and make a good living writing.
  21. I love when Linda is passionate about the family doing things together but her timing was terrible if they wanted something vey cheap. Going away at the end of summer is pretty expensive getting a cheap weekend or few days away is all about timing. That cabin was a terrible vacation spot but I have issues with lakes anyway. Poor Bob and the kids Linda gets ideas and they all have to suffer.
  22. Am I the only one who wonders what that show is about. I am guessing strippers with thick thighs.
  23. Professional cooks are serious about their knives. My mom is a professional cook and she took her knife sharpener with us on vacation because she was worried that the knives at the guest house would not be up to her standards (they weren’t).
  24. I went to see this movie with my family yesterday and we all loved it. All the actresses looked like they could do the fights. All of their bodies looked like they could actually do the type of fighting they did and the fights were choreographed for the women who might be smaller than the men they were fighting to be able to fight them to win by fighting smart.
