@teapot agree. I think I’ve mentioned it in passing before, but I don’t recall when we “met” any of these TM’s (including TM2) that any of these girls had jobs, even as teenagers. Which to me is odd. I had a part time in HS (K-Mart, yo!) as did most my friends. At minimum you would think Cate and Amber who came from lower income households would have been working at McD’s or the like from age 14/15.

I’m really struggling to get into this season. For the first time ever I am not watching the show the same night it’s on. I don’t know what it is, but so far it’s a dud for me. Maybe it’s because they’re all getting along (minus Scheana and James). I can’t stand smug Kristin and this witch hunt against James is really irritating. Didn’t she supposedly maybe hook up with him last season in Mexico? She doth protest too much when it comes to him. It wasn’t that long ago she was all about him and his BMW. Brittany and Jax are ok, but this schmoopy stuff is going to get old quick. Ariana and her new lips? No thank you. They make her look even bitchier than she did before, if that’s possible. Lala doesn’t really fit with the group now that Herman is outed. We know she doesn’t need to “work” now that she has the wallet. I know they hang out in real life together but I still have a hard time believeing Herman wants to hang with the chucklefucks willingly. Katie has done her share of mean girling, so the fat shaming isn’t getting me too worked up (yet). I am interested in Tom Tom. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still in with the show, but it needs to pick up. I need some sparks!

He has to be on some hardcore drugs. There’s no other explanation for his appearance, is there? He’s been on the scene 3 years? I’ve never seen someone in their mid 20’s that wasn’t on drugs or having other health issues decline that rapidly. He wasn’t completely hideous (looks wise) when he first arrived. Now? I like her family supper well enough, but as far as her putting the whole prison stuff in Tre’s face? Yah, no. Tre served her time, it’s going on 3 years ago now since she got out. We all know Joe’s story too. I’d be pissed off if someone I met 2 seconds ago tried to bring that up to me. I’m saying this as a person who has served time myself and would prefer that people don’t bring it up and put it in my face, as I’ve moved on with my life, made my restitution, and really want it in my past. It’s interesting to me only because none of the agents on MDL are with The Agency, in fact Josh A. was “brought up” by Mauricio and then left to start his own company so they are technically competitors now. And since I thought I heard Kyle and Dorit are teamed up together this coming season on BH, that could be an interesting twist. I can’t imagine Kyle would be too happy about it, especially if I remember correctly the Dorit’s (can’t remember their last name now something with a K) have previously used Mauricio as their agent. Maybe they still are and he is just showing them one of the MDL agents listings. He does make appearances from time to time on the show. I’ll keep my eye out for the preview, I usually ffwd thru commercials!

What happened to Teen Mum UK? I watched the 2 season they ran on MTV, but was that it? Will MTV run this Australia version? I’ll watch it if they do! And I’ve not watched TM OG or TM2 I’m going on 3 years. But I’m all in for these international versions.

So she moved to Texas? Did she take her kids with her? I know it’s somewhat common for rehab alumni to become counselors in order to get themselves back into the work force and to get a little extension to their treatment (I’ve seen it happen a few times on Intervention). The way I understand it, though, is that they either live on site or in sober housing. At least it appears she is trying to make changes in her life and move forward (ahem, Cate). Sometimes moving away from your triggers (ahem, Cate) and starting a fresh new life will get you out of the rut. It worked for me! I moved 3 states to get out of my funk and the day I left it was like a weight was lifted off me. I didn’t have kids in tow, though, so I do wonder how permanent this is for Amber. But if it keeps her sober and on track, good on her!

My son and I just watched “Elf,” as we do every year. That song is in it. So would that movie be banned too? A song that is played 30-40 days / year on rotation is causing sexual harassment and rape? Oh please. Change the station. Are the millennials even listening to local radio? The only stations by us that play over the air Christmas music are the “mom” stations. There are so many more songs that are way more offensive. That being said, we in this house will stick to rule #3. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing loud for all to hear!
