  1. Clearly, part of Kini's problem is that he's frustrated with himself for not speaking up when Sam took credit for his top. Yeah, he thought he took the high road at the time but there are diplomatic ways to call someone out on their crap and still come out looking professional. That said, it isn't Sam's fault that Kini let him get away with it. Now, Kini just looks petty, because he knows it's too late to say something to the judges. He needs to let it go and focus on his own work, because it's making me dislike him (not as much as I dislike Sam, though, because he needs to STOP ALREADY. With EVERYTHING.) Alexander should have kept his design in a blue color scheme, but with a modern silhouette that was lighter and airier. More mature doesn't have to mean dowdy or heavy. That burgundy thing looked like something out of a 90's nightmare--she just needed pseudo black lipstick and chunky heels to complete the effect.
  2. I think the apple was just the writers trolling comic readers and the "Michonne is doomed by being Rick's love interest" folks. I honestly do. I still think Lucille is destined for either Glenn or Daryl--the CDB folks are too comfortable and too arrogant. It's going to take a major death of one of their own to get them to bow to Negan, even for a short time, but I don't think the writers are going to go there with such a brutal death for a female character at this point, especially right after taking out Denise.
  3. I was thinking younger Andy Dick, but this works too! Good gravy, I'm glad St. Douche is gone. The rest of the field bug, but he is the absolute worst, and stirs everyone else up even more. And like everyone has already said, he is mediocre at best at what he does. I have yet to be impressed by any of his pieces. Jime totally nailed Sausage in one sentence--the little kid that pokes the bear and runs and tells when he gets bit. That is DEAD ON. I liked Sausage at first in his season, but the whining... the WHINING. Make it stop already!
  4. I don't like Elektra. She is characterized here as a jealous, manipulative bitch with little back story, and I hate Matt for falling for her bull and justifying it with money. Hoo...I feel better now. More courtroom shenanigans with Foggy and Frank, please. I don't think Foggy was angry enough at Matt, tbh, and I agree with the poster upthread who questioned why Karen would want to be with him with what she thinks she knows about him. Ugh.
  5. I can't believe Sausage is still whining about being "bullied" in his season. I guess that's his hook, but geez... get over it already. The dude who beat you isn't even alive anymore. I'd also say Cleen should've gone home if Ashley's tattoo hadn't been such a mess, technically. It was all over the place, though, and she has been in the bottom every time. Anthony's was great. It was more of an anti-hero than a straight hero, but I loved how it was all black and grey except for a few splashes of red and yellow.
  6. With all the uncomfortable scenes in this episode, the one where Norma was practically making out with Norman to keep him from killing her made me the most uncomfortable. They're both so damaged, and the inappropriate closeness of their relationship is just one more element that has contributed to Norman's psychosis. There's never been enough of a boundary between them, and now the line has blurred almost completely.
  7. This season really is the worst. When it's this obvious that producer shenanigans are happening to keep their favorite in the competition, it's time for me to either bail or hate watch. I may do the latter for a while, but man... Sam is just insufferable. I didn't watch Under the Gunn so I had no idea, but hoo boy! I did, however, think Emily deserved the win. I also got a reminder why I liked Dom in her season--her attitude toward Lloyd pinged my memory about her general excitement and positivity about the challenges leading up to her win. It wasn't until she sided witht he mean girls at the reunion that I got a bit soured on her.
  8. That bothered me, too, and I was surprised no one brought it up. Everyone else did entire hot rods/choppers, and he just did a really accurate engine. It didn't quite seem fair. Shut up, St. Douche.
  9. I have never really watched DWTS, but now I'll have to.
  10. Same here, and then I said out loud, to no one, "Oh, GOD, Norma!" Because it really was just so HER. I got why Norma turned insta-bitch to Emma's mom. Emma is a good girl, abandoned by her mother, who is now in front of Norma and trying to drag her in the middle of their non-relationship to help her fix it. The "real" Norman is a good boy with a much more challenging issue, and Norma would have never abandoned him no matter what. She's not a good mother, but I do think Norma has a right to feel a little superior right there. At least she tries in her own twisted way.
  11. Megan is definitely my favorite so far--her elimination tattoo was maybe my favorite ever on this show. It was stunning! I also just can't with St. Marq. He is just exhausting to watch... I couldn't even imagine having to compete against him or work with him.
  12. Maggie might not even be going... we don't know that she'll be among the group heading to Negan's camp. It's very possible she'll stay behind at Alexandria and let some of the others go instead.
  13. That was incredible, and I'm a Republican. I am so embarrassed at the whole Drumpf debacle, and have been working tirelessly to try and get my friends/family to see that they are effectively being trolled by this douchenozzle, mostly to no avail. I guess I'll be sharing this on all my social media accounts to spread the word some more.
  14. I believe the word he used was "prick." Heh. I think it was a mind game, at least partially, because they didn't look any dirtier than the Hilltop folks that were out tending the animals and what not. Or maybe Gregory just doesn't allow the unwashed commoners in his palatial estate.
  15. Miss J? Mr. Jay? Lisa D'Amato? Jade? BryanBoy? Yu Tsai? Nigel? The train wreck possibilities for this are endless, and I am fully on board for it. I also hope it stops being co-ed, because co-ed is dumb. Except Nyle. I still love Nyle.
  16. Some blessed soul has set the chase scene to "Yakety Sax" . At first, I felt uncomfortable with the scene and thought it was because I was so accustomed to the characters as platonic friends. Really, though, this nails why in retrospect--it felt to natural that it was almost voyeuristic, and that's why I wasn't comfortable. I guess that speaks to the acting of that scene, and the way the characters have been built up until now. Honestly, I haven't loved the idea of pairing Rick and Michonne because I feel like hooking friends up in shows almost always ruins the characters. I'm just hoping this time I'm proven wrong, because I love MIchonne so very much.
  17. Not necessarily. The show has already altered several turning points in the series, including substituting one character for another in very important death scenarios. Hershel for Tyreese, for example, was one very important change, as was killing off Dale so early and giving his ultimate demise to Bob. I'm a comic fan, and neither one of these things bothered me. I also think Daryl's death at the business end of Lucille would be the most impactful at this point for fans of the show, and the most similar to how I felt when Glenn died in the comics. It was meant to upset readers--I was so upset by it that I had to take a break from reading them for a long while, in fact. If the show runners want Negan's introduction to be the same gut punch, IMO Daryl's the only way to go.
  18. Rick's flashbacks of Jessie reminded me of the ones Brad Pitt's character had of Gwyneth's in Se7en. I almost expected him to start screaming about what was in the box.
  19. I didn't see anything sexual from Denise's perspective at all. Alpha Wolf had a creepy stalkerish Chester Molester vibe about him with everyone, but poor Denise was just panicking and scared out of her mind. All I saw was her trying to placate him while she tried to figure out a way out of her predicament.
  20. Aaron drew the Wolves there when he lost his backpack and left the pictures behind--otherwise they wouldn't have known about the town at all. Rick's idea was to draw the walkers away from the town before they got out on their own (which is what happened anyway, just prematurely)--it could have worked had the Wolves not shown up at Alexandria and drawn them back there with the commotion. It was be proactive and get the walkers out of there vs. let them get out on their own and deal with whatever happened after. The "real doctor" was beating his wife and kids, and Rick's attempts to stop it were thwarted by Deanna and the rest of the town because they valued Porchdick's skills over his family's safety--that situation should have been handled long before anyone from CDB showed up. Rick is mentally unstable, no doubt, but the things that have happened to Alexandria are not necessarily CDB's "fault." More like a series of unfortunate events, aided along by some people who had no clue what they were doing and Rick & Co. coming in like a hurricane to stir the pot. Jessie should have put her foot down and made her clearly terrified son go to safety with FPP and the baby. He had already been making noise and they knew he was scared--he shouldn't have been out there in the first place. It doesn't excuse Carol's mind games, but Jessie was the parent and should have acted like it. Of course, without that chain of events we still have to listen to Ron whine about Enid and we miss out on CORL!! having his eye shot out, so I'll take it.
  21. Yeah, I didn't love this one. In fact, I'd go as far as to say this was my least favorite of the five so far. The Mulder hallucination was so out of left field that it was completely tone-deaf to the rest of the episode, even if I did enjoy getting a glimpse of The Lone Gunmen. It just didn't work for me at all, and neither did ANGRY!Scully!Jr. Hoping next week's finale is much better.
  22. I think she was going to try to help him if she could, but knew that it probably would work, and had the awesome bonus of keeping her inside the walls and getting her back to her home turf in the infirmary. I wasn't convinced at all that Alpha Wolf was changing, but I do agree that he wanted to make her into a Wolf and thought there was hope. I read Bricken's article, and it just spoke to me as someone who forgot this is a series based on a comic set in the zombie apocalypse. This was the first episode in a while that I felt captured the tone of the comics without being too soap opera-y or talky. I attribute that to Greg Nicotero directing, because he clearly likes to go gonzo... and I loved every second of it.
  23. Looks to me like she's throwing the metal horns.
  24. I truly think Fade was joking right there. At least, that's how I took it... I remember whoever it was he pushed past (it's sad that I can't remember...Valerie, maybe?) giggling about it. In my previous post, I forgot to comment on how it all came rushing back to me what a train wreck Daniel is. I mean, I don't think he means any ill, and never did, but he is just... so... clueless.
