  1. Yeah, if that's the case, I'm out. Sounds like it's just one tick above one of those Rock of Love Charm School shows.
  2. Michael Cudlitz attended the Wizard World Comic Con in Sacramento over the weekend. This is me with him: As you can see, even if Abraham is a goner, Cudlitz is committed to the Abe-stache for the time being. His hair wasn't as orange as it is for the show, but if they're on a filming break, that color fades quickly and that could explain why, even if he didn't get Lucille (it's still cut in the Abe 'do, too). I asked him if he has people asking him about it every day, and he chuckled and said that he just tells them that the cast is going to miss poor little Judith. Heh. He was EXTREMELY chatty, however, and if he's not on the show anymore, he certainly talks about it in the present tense, very casually, as if he's still in the cast (and is an even better actor than I thought). I also asked him about how he manages to deliver Abe's dialog without dying laughing, and he again chuckled and said that he considers him a post-apocalyptic poet (he totally was being sarcastic) and said that Josh (McDermitt) gives him crap all the time about the stuff he gets stuck saying. He is supremely nice, I must say... pretty much what you'd hope for if you got five minutes to talk to him.
  3. I don't know why, but I'm getting winner vibes from Monterey already. She's young, attractive, different from anyone currently hosting any of their shows, inoffensively snarky, and if she can stop being such a spaz, I think they can make her into someone appealing for the network. Plus, this episode made it very clear that most of the rest are copies of hosts they already have, or people that no one would want to watch like Ana or Jernard (I can't stand him!).

    Fargo In The Media

I love this idea, and I think Ewan will be fantastic. Also, Hawley was very careful to say that none of the characters from the first season will be back, which means we might see some from the second season. I'm hoping we'll get a glimpse of a grown up Charlie Gerhardt--he's the only one whose story didn't get any real closure.
  5. TAR is totally why I remember Aaron--he and his GF "babied" and argued their way through their entire time on the race (I remember her being fairly unpleasant), and IIRC correctly, most people wanted to punch them for it.
  6. THIS. The lip gloss thing killed me... it was so obvious!
  7. That is the most Arnold of all the Arnold shots they could have chosen. That shot, right there, encapsulates his entire time as Governor of California (I work in politics... in California). It is perfect, and I cannot wait.
  8. Yeah, most comic readers I know (like me) are pretty annoyed by the cliffhanger. When it happened in print, it really did come out of nowhere, which is why it had the impact it did. In fact, I had to stop reading the series for weeks because it upset me so badly... not because of how gruesome it was, but because of what an emotional punch it had. IMO, the show runners totally squandered their opportunity at that same impact here.
  9. I agree with all of this. Norman clearly is never convicted for any of the crimes he has committed--reviving Norma now gives them a witness to his attempted murder of her. Killing her at this stage makes everything much less clear to anyone who wasn't there. It could've been Romero. Norman could blame Norma. There is all sorts of plausible deniability for Norman if she's dead, yet all sorts of guilt and internal conflict to come in spades as a result of what he knows he did.
  10. Or Danushka. Now that? Would have been comedy! I don't mind Michelle's personal style... I just think she needs a more refined, neater version of it if she wants to appeal to the general public. The pic above with the clean jeans, sweater and scarf is a great example--that is far more appealing than ripped jeans and a plaid, untucked shirt hanging down like the second photo. Count me in the camp that is bugged by Martita... I also blame Giada for it. All I can see in my mind when I hear her name is Giada's shark teeth overpronouncing her name. Thanks for nothing, LBH!
  11. Good gravy, DOM. I just don't get it... the guy can clearly cook, but he also clearly does not hve the temperament to be on camera. I do not understand why they keep on insisting on bringing him and that abhorrent Penny back. Yuck. Matthew is just as bad, too. Gross.
  12. So do I! When he started crying and just kind of brushed it off, it melted my cold heart a little. There's something about a tough guy who talks like a southern auntie that just kills me. Heh. I'd be happy if either he or Anthony takes this.
  13. I think this was exactly it, and he knew that it was a distinct possibility. Either Anthony or Christian could've easily beaten Jime, so for the sake of his ego he had to go down against another "vet."
  14. He should, but his cop instincts definitely took over, as did his urge to protect Norma. For all his flaws, I'm completely sold that Romero has fallen for our crazy Norma and really doesn't want to see anything bad happen to her. He knows Norman is a threat, but also knows this situation is... complicated beyond belief. At first, I didn't know if Norman was going to spy on Emma and Dylan or Norma and Romero. I couldn't make up my mind at first which would be creepier, but it's DEFINITELY worse to watch your mother have sex. Just... ick.
  15. I don't know if I think Mother has completely taken over, but I do think "her" ideals are now impacting what we once saw as the most normal bit of Norman. There was a time when he wanted to commit suicide because he knew something was wrong with him and he was willing to take himself out in order to save the people around him. Now? It's all about self preservation, and IMO it's Mother's influence that is causing that shift. He's not just disassociating--they're melding together into one.
  16. So... now that we don't have to listen to Sausage whine anymore, will the vets get wise and realize that Anthony and Christian are going to wipe the floor with all of them?
  17. Extortion? Although that usually applies to someone keeping secrets in exchange for money... the definition could apply here, too, though. That scene... ugh. I couldn't wrap my head around that entire scene with Norman's father and how anyone comes out of that halfway sane. We already knew some of the trauma Norma had suffered, but now we get the extent of it, and how much of it Norman suffered with her. And while I agree it was completely screwed up of her to use Norman for support in that situation, Norma had already suffered years of abuse and trauma at the hands of her parents and Caleb. She was already messed up, and I think it's too much for me to expect her to handle anything like that the "right way."
  18. Exactly. I would think any visitors would have to go in through the lobby, and any common areas for patients would be fenced off and secured from both the inside and the outside since not all the patients are there of their own free will.
  19. SANDRA. SO. MUCH. YES. I mean, if she gets on, they'd be complete morons if they don't vote her off right away. Of course, much dumber things have happened.
  20. I have a feeling this whole nonsense with Chick will draw Dylan back to White Pine Bay before the poor guy can make it to Seattle. I hope I'm wrong, because... save Dylan!!! Her incision hasn't had time to heal yet, so her using the word "scar" wasn't accurate. It's still an incision and still needs to fully close. Right now the poor girl would feel like Frankenstein, so I can see why she'd be self conscious.
  21. With Maggie now sick and Denise dead, Glenn doesn't need to die for there to be a reason for them both to relocate to the Hilltop--Alexandria has no doctor. A pregnant Maggie could very likely want to be close to that OB/GYN after this scare (curious that Hilltop's doctor just happens to specialize in babies and lady bits, eh?), and if Glenn is spared Lucille, he would happily go with her to make sure she and their baby are safe. That's why I think there's still a good chance Glenn is spared his comic death here.
  22. I love this thread title! So, here's my issue with going back to the Lucille moment--does it then become gratuitous? I mean, I know we see a lot of violence on this show that could be called gratuitous, but in this case we're talking about watching one human bash another human's skull in after the emotion of the moment has already passed. Does it make sense at all to go back to it, as Gimple suggested in his media call? Personally, I think the moment's gone and they screwed it up altogether.
  23. I actually do get why Rick cowered to Negan. They were painfully outnumbered... his weapons were gone... no one at Alexandria knew where they were to come help them... and they know Negan's people kill indiscriminately. Rick, as an LEO, knows how to read people, and I figure he read Negan up and down and knew he was serious--shut up and only one dies. Speak up and you all die, and then we find your camp and kill all of them as well. He knew they were screwed.
  24. My big problem with the cliffhanger is that the show runners ruined their one shot to give the character's death the impact it deserved. We're supposed to feel like we are, in some respects, part of CDB. We're supposed to have an emotional attachment to these characters, and to make Negan's entrance all about his bluster and Rick's failure/man pain completely takes away all the emotional impact that scene should have had. They could have even toned down the violence of it by strategically filming it, but we should have been able to experience it with the character and with the rest of the completely helpless members of CDB. Now? It's too late. You can't come back to it, and all the emotional heft it should have had will be gone by October for the sake of a cheap cliffhanger. I don't even want to think about what S7E1 is going to be like now--scenes of various surviving characters save the 2 or 3 most people suspect got Lucilled, all looking grim and sour and somber just to mess with the viewers some more. I, for one, am getting tired of being trolled in place of good storytelling.
