  1. Francis Dolarhyde has been cast... brilliantly.
  2. Eve just aided Dell in the murder of two police officers, and also helped Jimmy cover it up when he murdered the first one way back at the beginning of the season. In fact, all of the freaks helped Jimmy cover that murder right on down to helping him chop up the parts. Elsa nearly killed Paul on the knife wheel just because he confronted her, and whether they wanted to be there or not, she sold the twins to a complete stranger like they were her property. I find that pretty reprehensible, personally, but YMMV. I believe Desiree is the only one who hasn't killed anyone, but she was fully intent on tarring and feathering Penny's father and cutting his junk off (which probably would've resulted in him bleeding out). Dot tried to kill Bette, which is what landed them in the hospital. For me, nearly none of these characters are all that sympathetic at this point, and it's ruining my ability to enjoy this season.
  3. I, too, wondered about Desiree being in the line of fire. Then I remembered that she was sitting and Dell standing, so it shouldn't have been an issue. Honestly, I don't know why I continue to watch this show. It's too busy, too many threads, just like every other season when it hits the midpoint. Twisty was scary. The rest of the "villains" have, for me, gone so far into campy that they're no longer frightening. Everyone's a murderer, including the ones like Eve that I want to like, so I can't like anyone. I'm sticking out Freak Show, but I doubt I'll be back for whatever comes next.
  4. While I do think it was tacky for Vivica to specifically call out Shawn's issue in the board room, I'd have more of a problem with it if Shawn didn't know she was on camera when she told her in the car. I mean, you are always on camera on a show like this, and Shawn had to have known that every viewer would see/hear that when she first said it. Of course, I'm of the school that a simple "I'm not feeling well" is enough... and then you take some ibuprofen and power through it. And if her issues are worse than the average woman, then I'm also of the mind that she probably shouldn't have signed up for this show to begin with. I don't even know where to begin with Geraldo. He made me sympathize with a Jonas. A JONAS!!!
  5. I felt like I needed a shower after the Chris/Adam duet, and not in a good way. Smarmy, gross, icky, and douchey were all words that came to mind. Add in the Robin Thicke factor and I had to change the channel until it was over. Ew.
  6. I assume she's talking about Rick/Jessie, and maybe Aaron/Eric.
  7. I don't think there was any Isabella-related conspiracy to get George back in (and I can't stand Isabella, so...). I just think they had all been sequestered together, and George might be a nice guy, and they all pitied him for getting booted first. That said, I don't think it's fair to bring back someone who didn't have to at least compete in LCK, when other cheftestants who made it much farther will now have to fight their way back in. Not cool, TC.
  8. (Bolding mine.) I agree fully. Honestly, this season has gotten so campy that Dandy is now the murderer in one of those b-movie horror films where you laugh instead of being scared. He's almost a parody of a villain at this point, and no matter how Francis Dolorhyde he got with his whole, "I'm a god!" schtick, all it did was make him seem less scary. Also, I don't know if RM meant it this way, but when the least disturbing sexual overture comes from the two-headed woman, you know you have written some twisted stuff. Jimmy using Ima for "comfort?" Nasty. Stanley stroking off his massive wang to manipulate Dell? Gross. Women paying Lobster Boy for sexual pleasure? Ick.
  9. This whole episode made me angry, from the "twist," to Melissa taking all of the clams from Mei, to Padma spilling fish all over the floor for someone else to clean up, to Adam getting eliminated over Melissa. Just... no to the whole thing. Well, except Doug winning, because I want him to win the whole stinking thing.
  10. That's really awful about Renee... her son couldn't be more than 10, right? You always hate to see people crash so spectacularly, especially when they have children. RE: Angelea--Tyra is going to squash her like a bug.
  11. I just miss Joanna Coles as mentor... she was light years ahead of Zanna, and frankly I liked her more than I like Tim these days.
  12. If they cast her as Jessie from the comics, then yes... she'll be Rick's love interest. Also, if they're building towards ASZ, expect an epic mid-season bloodbath in S6.
  13. Yeah, I'm also not too enthusiastic about a Juliette pregnancy. I don't dislike Bitsie to the same degree a lot of people do, but as has been said--we just had a baby storyline. It will be boring, and I do not need to see Nick struggling with how to be a Grimm and a father at the same time. I think it will suck the fun out of the show. Otherwise, though, this was a good episode. I even found myself thinking I'd miss Trubel, even though she hasn't been my favorite.
  14. I thought Jay's coat made his model look short and top-heavy--two things a woman never wants. Like many, I loved Justin's coat... except for the back. If he'd have just closed that up, it would have been pretty great. I still love Dmitry, and don't find him any bitchier than his original season. This time, though, there is no crying Elena at which to direct it, and Helen has yet to earn his ire with her bawling. I was afraid they were telegraphing him going home, so I was glad he was top 3.
  15. Count me in as tired of all the short jokes and condescension lobbed at Doug by the other cheftestants. My hubby is short... shorter than me, even... and guess what? It doesn't mean a thing! Exactly right. In seasons past, the FOH has always shown the other team members how to assemble and plate their dish. KeriAnn made a huge error by blowing that off, and IMO it would have been hard to consult her on it during service because she was already in the weeds and doing a terrible job. I cut Katie a little slack there.
  16. Ethel's death really upset me, more than anything that's happened this season so far (except Dandy hacking up Matt Bomer, of course, because that's just horrid no matter what). I thought her killing Elsa was being telegraphed a little too strongly, so when Elsa threw the knife into her eye I gasped audibly. I really liked poor, sympathetic Ethel... now I don't feel like any of these people are worth rooting for except Pepper, Salty, Paul, Eve, and maybe Penny. I also think there's a good chance the psychiatrist will be Thredson.
  17. I'm in the middle of a Season 1 rewatch, and it's amazing the little clues to future events that are peppered throughout, particularly with respect to Dr. Bedelia (that's all I'll say so as not to spoil for those that haven't watched Season 2).
  18. I completely forgot to mention that I cannot wait for Broken Ox 2.0. There's no possible way it can live up to TAR 5, but it'll be fun reliving the memories.
  19. Count me in as not having an issue with the surfing FF. Someone noted that there has been at least one challenge this season that favored the cyclists. Add to that the fact that there have been many tasks where Bethany would have a perceived disadvantage, and I have absolutely no problem with TBTP having the surfing challenge as a non-required, no one might even do it FF at this stage in the competition.
  20. IMO, Sasha is in for the long haul. I think they're making her into ComicAndrea, and eventually she and Rick will bond over their losses and hook up. Personally, I'd welcome it, because I've really grown to like Sasha as a character. I'm bummed they haven't done better by Tyreese only to kill him off this soon. After casting the character perfectly, the show has bungled it almost as badly as they did with Andrea.
  21. I was really surprised Fabio wasn't in the bottom, because his dress was NOT a party dress--it was a day dress, at best. It was something you'd wear to a friend's spring outdoor wedding. Surprise! Nina shows up, and Helen wins for a predictably droopy, sad dress. I'm sorry, but the dress looked like it was about to slide off the model in the most depressed way possible. I was so happy to see SA this week! I'd wear everything he makes. I also love Dmitry... there's just something so cheeky about him, like he knows he's a weirdo and is totally in on the joke.
  22. I thought this was hilarious, too. Dell is supposed to be this big, tough dude, but the only people he can dominate are little Ma Petite and the elderly doctor. Even the bartender was on the older side, and completely caught off guard behind the bar. Amazon Eve beat the ever loving crap out of him, and Desiree kicked him to the curb without him being able to so much as bat an eye. Elsa is clearly not intimated by him, either. I do find it curious that RM is going out of his way to so thoroughly emasculate the closeted gay strong man character, though Poor Ma Petite. While I admit that I never had much reason to connect with her character, the sight of big Michael Chiklis snapping her tiny little neck was horrific.
  23. I simply thought Keith did it that way because he wanted to have all the people Chantelle told in the room. They were all involved (Will implied that Shei wasn't the only person Chantelle told), so why not get it out in the open? Had he confronted her one on one, she would have likely lied about it and he would have had to confront her "publicly" anyway. IMO, Keith reacted perfectly reasonably for having someone lie about having sex with him. That's kind of a huge deal, as far as I'm concerned, and he had every right to be upset.
  24. So... Chris wasn't allowed to mention anything from his season? I wondered why there was no reference to his couture challenge win with Christian.
  25. Exactly my take on it. If she had been telling the truth, wouldn't she have defended herself in front of everyone? I know I would have. Of course, Chantelle being horrible doesn't excuse Yu Tsai from his behavior. Her request was appropriate, and she expressed herself maturely and professionally, so of course he freaked out at first. Will is so, so pretty. I wish they could shrink him about 5 inches, because that face is amazing.
