  1. Looks like the Supergirl pilot has leaked...
  2. Just watched the first look trailers for Jane Lynch's new vehicle and Supergirl over at Hollywood Reporter. Jane Lynch is playing a guardian angel called Amy and her delivery through most of the trailer was exactly like her delivery of Sue Sylvester. The only nuance I saw was when she quit the wisecracking and turned serious. I was a bit surprised tbh; she's versatile and experienced enough to give a new character a new spin. Melissa Benoist was a bit more life-like than anything she delivered on Glee and the peppy GrrlPower tone would be the perfect stablemate to The Flash. CW fodder through and through. I'll give the pilot a shot but I'm honestly curious to see the show's reception.
  3. I have to admit, I haven't bought many of Amber's songs on iTunes because I hate lots of runs and the wailing on the big notes, and Glee has had her do too much of both. That doesn't mean I don't respect her talent or enjoy her voice. Just that the tracks of hers that I have bought have tended to be the ones where she busted out of that particular vocal box Glee tended to keep her in. And having had the privilege of seeing her perform live twice now in large venues, I can testify how brilliant she is. Lea is too. It was amazing how someone so tiny could hit the rafters in a venue like the 02 in London.
  4. I won't argue that Naya is a strong actor. She's in my top 3 along with Chris and Lea.
  5. Darren can be kind of a dick, is what I make of it.
  6. Jenna has a helluva voice. She has the power. Darren, not so much.
  7. I absolutely *loved* her DROMP performance. The sheer bravura chutzpah of it was breathtaking :)
  8. I tiptoed into that tiny niche corner of fandom that is the Glee Intelligentsia to see how the finale went down and learned that Ryan Murphy remained a prescient, maligned genius who spoke to the depths of their highly educated souls and farted rainbows to the end.
  9. This was, in my opinion, the HUGE mistake Ryan Murphy made. He thought that his show was the story of 'a glee club' but to many in the audience, among the fans, it was the story of 'this glee club.' That particular group of kids. There has to be a special kind of narrative bankruptcy to have the talent of Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Naya Rivera (at the very least) in the setting of not just one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the world, but a frigging performing arts conservatory. The culture clash between Broadway Babies and the kids from Flyover Country alone would have made for a fresh, compelling underdog narrative. But no. Foreverandeverandeverbitter HummelPezBerry stan.
  10. I'm so happy Chris's "Defying Gravity" solo has surfaced! Got my Chris-Bliss on :) I've been listening to him all week back and forth on my commute. I'll be forever grateful Glee brought me his beautiful voice, My mum loved him too, bless her.
  11. I still think Chris came up with best idea in canon for Santana's career trajectory - publicist. Or agent/manager if you prefer. I could easily imagine her appearing on Hollywood Reporter's industry power players list through awesomeness, mad skills and sheer force of will.
  12. In terms of any attempt at writing a coherent narrative, it certainly did.
