  1. This weeks episode is going to focus on a spa day for Danielle from the girls?? on the other one a week or two ago was about Blayke and the cousins babysitting the quints? I really think they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel for content. I’m sure many think that has been the case for a long time.
  2. Hello guys! Jumping in to say I really feel bad for Jovi’s mom (and dad?). I think she was worried from the start that someday her daughter-in-law, and her grandchildren might end up in Europe, and it would be a custody nightmare to get them back. Did Jovi‘s parents separate?
  3. https://www.cabletv.com/news/wga-strike-productions-and-cancellations interesting article I found today when I was wondering about how daytime shows are able to produce new episodes during the strike.
  4. Hey all, catching up after months of missing the shows. JMW - whoa, such a naturally beautiful woman with such a poorly jacked up face. And that wig. Dear God. wow, on the other hand, the Sheila actress looks fantastic! Maybe it’s the natural daylight, but her face looks gorgeous and refreshed. I did appreciate the public service announcement at the end of the show about water safety. Don’t they have lifeguards at the pristine beaches of Malibu?
  5. Hello! I haven’t been on here in a while and haven’t been watching for several months. Hope everyone is OK this summer. I was very surprised when I finally did tune in today. What did Sharon do to her face? It almost looks like a puffy, steroid face, but I don’t think it is? Her face and her lips look very bloated and I’m guessing it’s from some sort of procedures? What a shame. I have been saying to myself for years how beautiful she has remained. I guess maybe with minor procedures. But to me, she looks so noticeably different I guess from not having watched for a while. But everyone else that I’ve seen so far looks really good. Anyway, I found this article that might be interesting for some. I was wondering why our shows are still able to broadcast new episodes with the writer strike. This is a really good article that explains it quite well I think. And it’s just from today too so it’s very current. https://www.cabletv.com/news/wga-strike-productions-and-cancellations
  6. Season two definitely has a different vibe than season one. Of course, because of Susanna’s death and the risk of losing the house those things changed the whole arc of the story. I enjoy watching it because I love the vibe of the beach and the beach house/mansion and just the whole beach life thing. I had a feeling they were going to be a lot of holes in the story. But I do enjoy it overall. I’m thinking that the way that the kids are going to save the house is maybe to realize maybe they could make money off of Susanna‘s paintings? Not sure if that would be enough though. Or the mother’s book is going to be a huge bestseller, and earn her millions of dollars to buy the house. I keep wondering about that random guy that Susanna hooked up with at the bar, if he somehow plays into things in the last few episodes. I don’t think there’s a season three scheduled?
  7. I wonder if they have D. on steroids , which might be causing the puffiness. ? also, for this Thanksgiving thing, at least Adam was trying to solve the problem and have the hibachi dinner outside, but D. Is questioning everything about it level but you can see how the girls pick up the attitude towards him of questioning him, and almost not respecting him. The way that they learn to treat their father is very possibly how they’re going to treat boyfriends and men in the future. I don’t know like I said I haven’t watched in a while and this whole dynamic is really something.
  8. Good job.Good job.Good job.Good job. good grief, children must hear that phrase thousands of times. How about well done Or nice going 😡
  9. I was also wondering why the girls still seem to talk like babies, girls that are turning seven. I also thought it was strange and one of the promos were the girls were talking about turning seven and one of them held up seven fingers. That kind of seemed babyish to me too. I also noticed how Danielle shamed Blayke about not doing the scuba thing on her first try. “Well I guess we’ll all just sit here for an hour and a half on the boat and no one will go in the water” - something like that. . I’m sure Patience runs thin on these big trips trying to manage all these children, but I was surprised she didn’t even try to validate Blakes feelings, maybe some thing like “I know it’s scary, and I can understand why you’re afraid, but you and I can try it together and I’ll be right next to you if you don’t like it we’re right here by the boat” - something like that. Adam, taking Hazel to the doctor and saying some thing about maybe they weren’t the most vigilant with her wearing the eyepatch every day.?!? Geez, it seems like they’re always doing something to please Danielle. anniversary parties ,facials from the girls at home, Etc. I mean it’s nice to teach the girls to do things for others but I don’t know. the dynamic is just appearing weird on camera to me.
  10. I found it interesting in this episode where the moms see Cleveland in the bookstore getting ready for his TV interview. Laurel notices that he might be looking good but then says she saw some thing about his ex in The Times (must have been a guy) so she figures he’s gay. Then Susanna says something like no he’s not gay. He’s bi. Wonder if that will come into play in season two, as well as possibly for Jeremiah.
  11. Just turned in today after not watching for a few weeks. Dylan looks different to me – her eyes especially look different. I know she was off for a week or two and she had said she was traveling with her family a lot but maybe she got a little bit of a facial refresher Not throwing shade or anything. I wish I could do that! She looks fantastic as always, but I think I did notice a bit of a difference today.
  12. She mentioned Joel last week with Jenna when they were discussing Father’s Day weekend. She said the girls saw joel and it was very nice. Something like that. Must be hard for all.
  13. Especially enjoyed these last few episodes, great way to wind down this season. I’m really looking forward to the storyline of J creating a restaurant, a destination restaurant out of the old barn. What a great way to keep things new and interesting, without necessarily falling into the Jay and Sam have a baby sitcom trap.
  14. The show kicked off the summer concert series today with Jonas brothers. I don’t like the way they move the stage to the other side of the plaza. I know they said it’s better logistically and they can have more people in there now, but I liked the stage where it was originally. Before they had the fountains behind the stage and a better lively shot of just the city itself. Now it’s just a boring big office building behind them.
  15. Same here. would like to see some family members of the ghosts and Sam and jay continue and expand. Jay’s parents would be a good start. And did we ever find out how Thor died? Only 3 more episodes season 2.
  16. The ending at the reception where charlotte views everyone happy and together in slow motion reminded me of the end of “Titanic”. Old lady Rose warm in her bed, dreaming of being back on the ship with Jack and everyone else, slow motion, dreamy sequences. I love a good happy ending. I did have some questions about some of the plot gaps (in Sanditon and Titanic!) but let them go for the most part.
  17. Reruns on tlc now. hope there is a new season coming .
  18. Did he live in the same house with the new wife? why would you have three kids with someone who can’t manage their finances?
  19. Kiara Barnes and Alley Mills were both on “The Bold and the Beautiful “ together for a few years, and Alley and Dan Lauria were the parents on “The Wonder Years” !! Cool.
  20. Yes! Thanks for this info, @valen! I did the same $5 a month and have access to so much now! And on demand! (my mother said that I learned how to read watching Sesame Street when it came on in 1969, and I’ve watched so much PBS through the years, I felt I owe them at least something. I am hoping to increase my monthly donation a little bit because I guess I owe them after all these years!)
  21. I enjoyed the show tonight in general with some of the plus and minuses you guys have already mentioned. But the thing that sticks out for me lately is how much I’m enjoying the newcomers this year. I guess they called them the featured cast? I’m liking all of them And their energy and their vibe. But I was wondering why Sarah Sherman is still a featured player, she’s so brilliant! The character she did on WU, I think her name was Genesis, was probably the one that had me laughing out loud the most in a long time !
  22. Hi guys! I seem to remember I stand somewhat alone on looking forward to the Nurse’s Ball, but I’m enjoying it back this year. Any thoughts from you all?
  23. Oh good, thanks for the season finale date. Will definitely watch. but I’m afraid a season 3 is not looking good, the way they keep shifting it around and skipping weeks at a time. 😡
  24. Weird Friday today promoting the Mario game movie. I didn’t even follow the game back in the 80s but I know it was a thing so I get that. And I see that Chris Pratt who is in the movie was on today so I get the connection. The show is so enamored with Maria Shriver and her daughter Kathryn is married to Chris Pratt so there you go. But it just felt very corporate sponsored and weird today to have so much hype out on the plaza for this movie. Like what’s the next movie or whatever that can be up for sale on the show? That’s what it felt like to me. Hope it makes sense.
  25. This worries me the moving around of episodes and big gaps between episodes. It makes it hard for an audience to find traction in a show. It’s just feeling like a bad sign to me. I hope not because I really enjoy the show. In another post I had complained about that episode that took such a scary turn when they were trapped in the house and trapped in the mirrors. but I was looking something up online about the original show and the genre that it’s described is drama/horror! I guess my nostalgia for watching that show in the late 70s and early 80s kind of clouded that aspect of the original show.
