  1. We have all been hearing Matt’s rumors of infidelity for years. My nosy self is dying to find out what accusations are being thrown his way, especially because NBC decided to terminate him immediately.
  2. I’m hoping Laura whisks Jana away from the TTH and they get an apartment together. I’d watch the hell out of that show.
  3. At least the atrocious bottom two thirds of the dress distracts from the tailoring that makes it look like she has incredibly pointy nipples.
  4. I'm a longtime lurker here and think the medical/legal speculation on this thread is insane. I'm guessing the Dillard's were holding out on the photos, hoping for a People Magazine payday. Once they realized Sam's photos don't carry the price tag they hoped for, they were free to post on social media. Second theory is they wanted the interest and anticipation to build by holding out on social media posts, which if this thread is any indication, it worked.
  5. I hated the finale and hated this season. For a show called GIRLS, the girls were missing this season. It was the season of Hannah and Elijah. How much screen time did Shosh get this season? 5 minutes? I also hate that they went the pregnancy/baby route this season. I thought GIRLS was different and wouldn't fall back to the ol' baby fixes broken person trope, but here we are. I'm not sure who greenlit a series finale that centered around struggling with breastfeeding, but it was a terrible idea.
  6. Me too. Plus, Zosia is 29 in real life so she's playing Shoshanna as younger, being that Shosh was an undergrad when Girls began airing.
  7. This was my favorite episode in a long time. I love the ridiculousness that is Desi. Of course he is an OxyContin addict ? I am happy to see Hannah becoming more self aware. Hopefully Marnie follows suit. I don't need this final season to wrap up everything with a neat bow, but I would love to see some growth. Side note: I love Elijah but he is the sassy come back guy. I feel like he isn't part of the group, he's just there for comic relief.
  8. Izzy looks like he has a starring role in Tontitown's community theater production of Oliver Twist.
  9. In their defense, Jeremy has ties to NJ. The tristate area in these parts is NJ-NY-CT. Parts of NJ and CT are essentially suburbs of NYC and part of the NYC metro area.
  10. That's nuts...I just happened to have the news on this morning and heard about her murder. It appears a random guy just came up and shot her. How tragic and devastating for her family. Especially her poor brother who apparently tackled the killer after seeing his sister get shot.
  11. The Rosie Perez Puerto Ricans can, the J Lo Puerto Ricans can't.
  12. Yes, she was trafficking children from Haiti (hence the speaking French). I think her meticulous clean-up job after killing that guy means she was never implicated or charged in that crime.
  13. I liked that Pops was Murray's real first friend, not Bill. I did enjoy the Bill Murray friendship though. We get it. Erica sings. Erica sings in every damn episode. I found her plot line funny but am getting reaaaaaally tired of every Erica plot involving her singing. The Garfield doll on a stick was hilarious, as was Bev's floating head.
  14. So I see just like last week, this epsiode was brought to us by Buick. At least this week wasn't quite as blatant.
  15. Same here. I really liked Kimberly but I despise the song Dirty Diana, no matter who is singing it. I was surprised it was so well received here. IMO, Kimberly had a bad night of song choices and that's all it takes at this stage in the game to send you home. I am not sure if the finale is even worth watching if the iTunes bit is cumulative...Sawyer is an obvious lock so really we are just watching to see who will come in second.
  16. Somebody give Sawyer his guitar back because that was so uncomfortable to watch. That child is all sorts of awkward on stage without his crutch. I finally exhaled once he started walking around the stage instead of standing there frozen while surrounded by very enthusiastic dancers. Not that he isn't a lock for the finals anyway...at this point he could silently stand there in his hat for 90 seconds and he'd still hit the iTunes top 10. Koryn's voice is really not pleasing to my ears. I'd like to see her go, but I wouldn't be upset seeing Joshua (boring) or India (still not connecting for me) hit the road either.
  17. You mean ol' mushmouth Mia? I thought she left at the appropriate time...even Reba told her to enunciate better which Mia wasn't able to do. I could never understand anything she was singing. I started off not liking Hannah at all but she grew on me. She wasn't going to win this, so I was OK with her being sent packing last night. I was so sure the Twitter save was going to be Corey so I was as shocked as India (her scream!) when Corey was sent home. He was well past his expiration date, IMO, so I am pretty happy with how it all turned out.
  18. I haven't watched Today in quite some time, though I am only home for the first half hour anyway. I gave it another chance this week, letting my local NBC news run right into the Today show. According to the first 5 minutes, the top news stories this week are the Baltimore riots, Nick Wallenda walking on a goddamn ferris wheel in Orlando (a Today exclusive!), the Nepal earthquake, and an exclusive! Matt Lauer interview with Kim Kardashian. I will go back to shutting my TV off after the local news ends.
  19. Agreed. As a Princess Bride fan, I loved this episode. Especially Murray dressed as the Andre the Giant character at the end.
  20. The whole exchange at the table got me: borrowing a dog from the kennel to have it bark outside; Jack and Diane (Vanilla Ice and Sarah Palin); Zoe going to a Jason Mraz concert where Philip Philips is the opening act; Junior in that wizard get-up; Bow's Mac n Tease with KALEord greens...and finally, Pops with his sad small stacks of bills in his attache case that he left on the squash court. Loved all of it.
  21. So am I and I take none of the comments personally. The stylists on The Voice are consistently terrible from season to season. It does not shock me at all that they put a gorgeous girl in an unflattering white lace bell bottomed jumpsuit. No matter how smoking hot you are, clothes exists that will be unflattering on your body. If unflattering clothes are within a 20 mile radius of a contestant, The Voice stylists will find them. Do you remember what those stylists did to poor DaNica Shirey? They can make good looking people look downright matronly.
  22. Deanna was pretty much guaranteed a ticket home after that awful performance on Monday. She seems to have breath control issues when singing, and that coupled with looking like she is NOT having fun on stage at all means she wasn’t going much further anyway. I would have liked to have seen Corey in the bottom three with Deanna and either Rob or Joshua, both of which I think have no shot of winning this. However, other than the absence of Corey, I am OK with who went home. I don’t know if it was just on my television, but there were either audio issues during Pharell’s group sing or either Sawyer or Koryn botched part of that song. I will have to rewatch online and see if it was just on my end. It sounded like maybe Sawyer was supposed to come in but didn’t and Koryn ended up covering the line for him. I like Sawyer well enough but his stage presence sucks, IMO. I hope P challenges him a little more this week, maybe drop the guitar (and the hat!) and do something a little more upbeat. I am so excited for Hannah to be coached by Cee Lo. She is right up his alley in terms of quirk-factor and I am sure she will be game for any of his staging ideas.
  23. I liked Mia’s voice and her singing style but she took nothing from that mentoring session with Reba. The lady told you in a polite way that you were Mumbles McGee. Week after week, and especially for the Twitter save song, all I heard was mush mouth with zero progression in the annunciation department. I had no idea what words she was singing for her Twitter save song last night, just underscoring the point that she is not quite there yet. I would rather have seen Corey take Mia’s place out the door to see if she could overcome her annunciation problems with a little more coaching but I am not terribly upset with the results. I was pleasantly surprised that Hannah didn’t end up in the bottom three. I used to find her a bit too intense but she has either toned it down or grown on me, not sure which.
  24. I have tinkered with different recipes and different fats in pie crust. What i find is that shortening adds zero in the flavor department but is super flaky. Butter adds the flavor but isn't as flaky as shortening. I usually use 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening (I make myself feel better by using Spectrum Organic Shortening vs. Crisco) so I get the good flavor from butter and superior texture from shortening.
  25. I agree. I thought Dre came off as a world class a-hole in this episode. By the time he had Bow doing shots in the game of "I Never," I was done with him. I would be OK with him acting like such a jerk if there was some payoff in the end, but there wasn't. I feel the same about last week's vasectomy episode. Essentially, this episode ended with Bow telling him why she was dumped so much as if SHE should be the one apologizing. It just rubbed me the wrong way. Other than Dre being a jerk and never being called out on it, I liked the episode. From The Real World: Old People Eating Cheese set up to Charlie going into anaphylactic shock, the rest of it was comedy gold.
