  1. This sums it up so perfectly. Bethenny by her own admission said that when Dennis proposed, she didn't even say yes. She accepted the ring and told him that they needed to discuss terms and conditions of their relationship and marriage to one another. She couldn't even bring herself to tell anyone about their engagement while he was living and it was likely because of her that he also kept it secret. She didn't want another circus in her life but she welcomed the circus in his death. She got all of the attention for being the grieving fiance but he got none for being the fiance that was alive and breathing and ready to say 'I do' for her. Bethenny speaks to Lu so convincingly that I feel pretty sure that Bethenny doesn't know the depths of her own selfishness and self-serving behaviour.
  2. I can't like this post enough. Bethenny has shown time and time again that this is who she is when she reaches her tipping point. The calmness she demonstrates when trying to counsel others on their issues is nowhere present when it comes to dealing with her own emotions. She's an emotional lunatic and that was well established long before Dennis' death. I'm certainly not having any bullshit excuses that her visceral reaction was exclusively due to her grief. Lu said that she has asked Bethenny about Dennis and how she's coping while Bethenny seems to be specifically calling out Lu's inconsiderate behaviour of not touching base with Bethenny and keep up with her life...which is something clearly Bethenny was doing for Lu when she was at her lowest. Bethenny has a fair point, she made a lot of fair points but that doesn't justify her behaviour to me. And just my opinoin, but I think Bethenny outing Lu's lack of care for Dennis's death is motivated by her own guilt and anger. Bethenny didn't recognize him as her fiance until after he died but by her own admission, she didn't clearly accept his proposal. By her own admission in the past, her and Dennis were on and off for the past 2/3 years and there were other men in her life when he wasn't. In the end, Dennis was a constant for her. Someone who knew her and still stuck around and I think she had a lot of gult and anger because she didn't truly appreciate his loyalty and support of her until he died. She never fully committed to him because their situation wasn't ideal or perfect and she took for granted that they didn't have all of the time in the world to figure it out. She's trying to wrap her grief in this pretty package talking about them being engaged and how much she loves him but it's definitely more complicated than that.
  3. I do think Barb has a right to be upset with Lu not being more helpful in bringing her into the group and making her feel welcome when everyone else is too busy doing their own thing BUT at the same time, it wouldn't surprise me if Barb also saw her annoyance with Lu as a way to get in good with the group. Lu is a piece of work. She lectured Sonja about her outfit meanwhile she left wearing a see through skirt with a big ass slip up the front. That said, Sonja went to that meeting because Bethenny told her to go. She refused each time Lu suggested it. So when she felt a certain way about what she heard at the meeting, it was disingenuous for her to act like Lu was the one that forced her to go and then didn't care when she was having an emotional reaction to it. Truthfully, Lu didn't show much compassion, and truthfully, I do think Sonja was putting it on a bit. She came back from a meeting having listened to the things people have lost in their life because of their alcoholism and her reaction was to cry because some fancy hotel cabana had some water and sand in your vicinity. She was already laughing and seemed fine by the time they were walking to the car to go back to the house. Another point in defense of Lu, they know she can't drink, at least not in front of cameras and all of their events are alcohol fueled. If she wants to slip away for some hours and not have to deal with that, then don't make that an issue when you've got so many other things about her behaviour that you can get upset about and call her out on. I honestly don't like people confronting in a group setting where a band of people jump in, especially when they aren't involved in the issue at hand (Tinsley being the biggest culprit). It reads more like a gang up. Barb and Bethenny had legit gripes to address but Bethenny was ridiculously over the top and aggressive. Your anger doesn't give you the right to interject on my personal space and shove objects near my face. Lu definitely owes Bethenny more thoughtfulness and consideration but the way she rattled off the list of things she did for Lu, that to me doesn't reflect positively on Bethenny. If I make myself available to someone and after time realize that I'm not any kind of priority in their life even when I could use some support, then I ween you out of my life, I'm not rattling off a list of things I've done for you as if I'm been keeping score and holding it in my back pocket just in case I need to throw it in your face. The only person that came off well this episode to me is Ramona and that's saying a lot.
  4. Yeah, kind of like how whenever she would see Taylor she would say 'hey, did your husband beat you today?' Or when she would see Kim she'd ask if she had hit the bottle today. Oh wait...none of those things happened, did it? There's plenty to vilify LVP over without needing to argue hypotheticals.
  5. For what it's worth, I'm not judging you at all, lol. I think Reign has cute features and is the cutest of her kids, but when I look at Mason and Penelope, as they grow, their features remain the same and I think that they have a more grown look to them which doesn't match with the fact that they're kids so it looks awkward to me right now but my gut tells me that they're going to really grow into their features. Just a hunch, but I think Mason is going to resemble a young Rob once he hits his late teens, maybe early 20s.
  6. Meghan's is so self-serving in her ideology that I can't fathom how she convinces herself that some of her positions aren't in fact contradictory and tone-deaf to other positions she has and it was very evident in Joy and Sunny's point. Supporting a candidate who says curing cancer is a priority while climate change doesn't even make her top 30 of important issues even though there are so many environmental factors that can contribute to various cancers makes no sense to me. She supports top priority of curing cancer but doesn't see the tone-deafness in not supporting universal healthcare. By throwing your weight behind health related initiatives and being against universal healthcare, you establish a position that healthcare is for the rich whether you want to admit it or not. At the very least, has she ever said that she supports the concept of universal healthcare but doesn't support the solutions currently available? It's at least somewhat redeeming to believe in the concept even if you don't believe in the methods presented. I adore the concept of David's book and am really tempted to buy it. I don't know his background as a chef so I'll probably check out some reviews if possible on the recipes but the idea that someone has thought of the themes and menu and drinks and even music...that's just awesome to me. Gives someone room to customize but at the very least, it should be a great starting template to work with. Also, that second picture of their kids was ridiculously cute. That's what I think fashion forward dressing kids look like. I'm not often impressed with kids outfits that are meant to look like mature, adult fashion.
  7. Kyle and Teddi created the confusion because they tried to call out Rinna's behaviour at the party as being primarily an issue because her 'act' was not truly representative of Erika Jayne. They were resting on Erika to say what neither of them wanted to say - that Rinna used a cop out excuse for her behaviour toward Kim at the party and neither believe that Rinna wasn't being calculating and intentionally malicious. Teddi wasn't being Kyle's henchwoman, she was just being Teddi. Whatever side of the argument she falls on, she's going to make sure she has her say whether she's involved or not. Rinna loves inserting herself in things that don't involve her and stirring the pot, so it's rich for her to tell someone to shut up because they aren't involved in the situation.
  8. Seeing Tamika and her daughter this episode, I genuinely think that little girl adores her mother and is at that age where she wants to be just like her mom. I love how Tamika said she's not going to speculate about cheating...and then proceeds to speculate about talk about cheating, lol. I get that Reagan wants to show off her domestic abilities and using her clueless sister to do that makes sense...except when you're explaining to her what a classic New Orleans breakfast is as if she wasn't born/living in there and isn't aware. Jeff was onto sometong - Reagan sacrificed the comfort of the group AND her boyfriend in order to do what was easiest for her. She had schmoozing to do that kept her occupied and distracted while everyone else was sweating over the tension. Had they met prior to everyone else, at least Jeff could have let the others know and that would avoid the possibility of anyone feeling super tense and awkward about it. Reese is a douche that thinks his douchiness is hilarious. It's not...I guess unless you're Reagan. I don't know about anyone else but listening to Reagan and Reece's love story wasn't cute at all. It just made it seem like Reagan took the guy that was willing to put a ring on it and when football fucked Jeff up, it was way more than what Reagan has signed up for when chose her consolation prize. Seems like one really long winded way to get the attention of the guy that just wouldn't commit. Jeff was out of line with her comments. I hope he apologized for that bullshit. Jeff looked like a depressed dog guzzling his alcohol. Feel blessed you have people in your life that are looking out for you like that. The look on Reagan's face when she realized her secret was discovered looked was great. She looked guilty as hell, haha.
  9. The way Meghan interjected at the end made it seem like she was intentionally left out of the conversation and not given a chance to speak when the reality is that Whoopi didn't designate speaking time to anyone in particular and I think that's what she meant when she said 'I gave you time to speak'. When Whoopi shared her thoughts, she was wrapping up the topic before going to break and I don't think she had spoken over anyone to try and control the conversation so the way Meghan interjected probably threw her off and made her feel some type of way. Considering she (and many of the other women) have rallied for one last talking point before break, I don't know why she would opt to make the attempt in a manner that is evidently ruder than simply saying 'hey, I know we have to go to break but can I say something really quickly?'. I'm positive at that point Whoopi would have promised to give her time after the break just as she made the offer this time despite calling out Meghan for how she addressed the situation.
  10. Is she financially stable in her own right? Because he did blame his crimes on the pressures he felt keeping up appearances of Phaedra's lavish lifestyle...especially coming straight out of jail, how would this be any different? Whether those pressures were real or not doesn't change the bottom line that this guy just doesn't seem all that smart.
  11. Gizelle is full of shit. She knew exactly what she was doing when she brought up Candiace's comments about Ashley. Gizelle started that birthday night looking like she could barely walk in her shoes and she got off that bus and into the hotel much the same way, lol. Between Karen and Robyn, there was a lot of tragic hair on this trip. Damn, I wonder how much of a Freudian slip that was with Ashley mentioning she's ready to get her profits. And on another note, does Ashley have implants? Candiace has made her point about Ashley (she did so poorly) and she just needs to drop it now. I really hope we aren't going to get the rest of the season rehashing this confrontation. I've always wanted to go to New Orleans and watching these past couple of episodes is making me itch to book my tickets now. Monique is a trooper. She participated in all of the festivities to the fullest being that far along - not judging her at all for calling it early near the end of the trip. Lapdop Robyn can shut up - I can go the entire season without having to hear her say a single word. Stay in the background and shut up...that's all she's good for except when she's trying to convince everyone Juan loves her and anytime Gizelle gets into a confrontation with someone. Robyn has to push her mouth in all the time.
  12. In reality TV, redemption story rarely lasts long and Katheryn doesn't seem to be an exception. After everything Kathryn has been through and despite how she's treated people at times, she has a group of people who care about her and her well-being and enjoy her friendship and acts totally confused that her friends want her to have a reciprocal relationship and not one that's just convenient for her. She doens't need to ask Chelsea and Nioimi where they got their money. She knows one works and the other works but largely has family money. Kathryn seemingly has neither and yet has two kids to take care. So yeah, the optics aren't going to look good. Felt bad for Whitney hearing Kathryn talk about him and the girls cackling over it. I personally would not feel comfortable staying out in the wilderness where there is no reception and I have to drive from one bedroom to the next and then to separate place to eat dinner. Nature is lovely, but I'm not a fan of isolation. The best part of the episode was seeing the facial expressions of the women after they took a sip of their wine. It was pretty clear that they didn't seem to enjoy it.
  13. I'm a couple of episodes behind but I'm finding this season boring thus far which would explain why I've only been watching when I'm bored and realize I have something I can put on in the background while I do other stuff. Is it just me or does anyone else find that Madison sort of resembles Jessica Simpson a bit? Craig should take heed - sitting across from Shep, he may be seeing his future in a decade if he doesn't get his shit together - a broke ass version of Shep. What more do you need to be inspired to get going with life? So this episode probably highlights my boredom so far. It's a bunch of repetitive gossiping going on with little to no confrontation with the people that are being gossiped about which just leads to a waste of time. This episode alone, we got 5 separate conversations about Kathryn's new relationship and/or her home/car situation. The only difference in each of these conversations was the combination of people involved in the conversation and the locations where the conversations were taking place.
  14. I'm not a lawyer and I don't have a law background so what you're saying could be absolutely correct, but I don't see how that would make any sense. Kim having a choice in the kind of cases that SHE wants to fund is not her directing the work of the law firm. The law firm can access other means to do their work for cases that Kim doesn't agree with because that's what they would have done before she began her partnership with them. So I don't see how being selective with her financial support is a breach of legal ethics. I don't see how it's any different from law firms that turn down a case because someone doesn't have enough money to pay the legal fees. And even if she couldn't control how her money is spent in this particular case, I would think she could control her image of visiting him in jail, taking happy pictures with him, using her celebrity to expedite testing that could potentially exonerate him, and she must have been able to exercise some level of personal control in her choice to publically proclaim his innocence before any of the requested testing was completed with conclusive results.
  15. It's a circular argument at this point - only time will tell how LVP's absence impacts the show next season (if at all) when viewers will have the benefit of certainty that she will not be involved in any capacity next season moving forward. That said, there are many ways people can forfeit the show but still contribute to the weekly ratings and alternately, there are many ways people can watch the show without their viewership being recognized in any official rating count. The only thing we know with certainty is that there is a public backlash with how the LVP situation was handled but as long as eyeballs are tuning in and the networks are seeing their average numbers, I don't think they'll particularly care how many people are @ing them online. People like LVP and Teresa's time on these shows give people the impression that they are an important cog to their respective franchise's longevity but no one really knows that until the waters have been tested. And sink or swim...who cares? LVP will still be rich and I'm positive there will still be avenues available for her fans to see what she's up to.
  16. I can't imagine there not being some level of agreeance on her part as she's writing cheques and using her fame and likeness in hopes of gaining some kind of benefit in proving the man's innocence. While it's my personal opinion that for all of the great values Kim says her father taught them, I think she has built her fortune on selling out on almost all of those values but that said, I don't think Kim is stupid. She's riding the fence here. If it works out, she'll be part of the accolades being dished out but if it blows up in their faces, she'll put it on the firm. Firms review tons of cases, I highly doubt there weren't more available to consider and I highly doubt Kim would have lawyers crafting contracts that stipulate that will dish out money and her time yet be completely at the mercy of the firm and their case choices when it's Kim that is the one taking the biggest risk.
  17. There were a lot of things I saw this episode that I fought quite telling. There was great irony in Rinna complaining about Camille talking about people behind their back...as she was talking about Camille behind her back. The dinner encounter with her family was really awkward to watch. I imagine my mother would have slapped me silly if I had flipped my father off behind his back. I just got the vibe that Harry was unappreciated in his household...and maybe that has something to do with him always being in Canada...or maybe that's why he's always in Canada. In any case, the more I see and hear Rinna talk about her marriage and all of the separation in her family, it seems like physical distance in her marriage may be part of the reason they have both held on so long. It also really rubbed me the wrong way when they were complaining about the veggie burger and Harry asked why they didn't tell him they didn't like that burger because he wouldn't continue buying it otherwise and the annoying daughter snapped back 'you should ask!'. Get the fuck out of here with that brattiness. When Rinna was telling Erika about the Camillle situation, by the end of it, Erika made a comment where she used the term 'we' to describe the current standing of the grou's relationship with Camille and once again, it was another telling sign to me that the women are in cahoots together. Why is Erika speaking as part of the group when she wasn't involved and she's had no issue with Camille for her to feel it necessary to immediately align herself as though choosing sides is a requirement...well except for the good chance that choosing sides is part of a deal that was made at some point. Dorit's children are adorable. Jagger really is a confident little fella, lol. However, their mom yelling at the assistant was not cute. I get that they messed up but I just don't see how it's helpful to take time to talk down to someone when the priority should be to address whatever the issue is first. Take them aside later to have a conversation where you can be both calm but also stern in your message. Brandi is a train wreck. Has been for the longest time and continues to be. I don't need her on my screen and Denise is going to catch my bad books real quick if she becomes the catalyst for more Brandi scenes.
  18. I think Cara's general hypocrisy got the best of Day and she didn't handle herself in the best way so her point got lost in her attempt to speak over everyone else. She had an opinion on Cara's intentions of telling Georgia about Bear. Cara denied it and that is where the back and forth really stems from. Cara's comments were on camera, proving Day correct. To avoid owning up to her lie she rebuttals with something to the affect of 'hey at least I told her whereas you didn't want to say anything to her'. That's kind of rich for Cara to act like she in some way was being a decent person when she intentionally went after a guy with a girlfriend as a way to make Kyle jealous and then chose to get back with that guy despite learning very publicly that he was two-timing her and trying to throw their relationship under the bus in order to get back with his ex. Day clarified that she never got involved in the Amanda/Zach/Jenna thing because she didn't think Zach was being serious but she spoke to Jenna off camera to confirm what Amanda said but also to share how she interpreted the entire conversation with Zach and Amanda. She wasn't being a hypocrite about it though Cara tried to make it seem that way. Day lost me with her comments about it not being all about Cara when in truth, it was about Cara. All that said, while Georgia was appreciative of Cara telling her about Bear regardless of her intent, I thought it was useless. She claimed that at least it saved her from looking like an idiot but didn't she fall quickly fall back in line with Bear? Warning didn't do her much good.
  19. I think they're saying that if Ken becomes too feeble, they'll happily apply for the position of taking his place so that they'll be the ones whose job is to dress a dog and carrying the dog under their arm everywhere they go, lol. I agree that she should not be given more than one episode at the reunion if she shows up, but honestly, with Camille saying that she won't be going to the reunion, how are they going to fill a 3 episode reunion? Friction amongst themselves was often diluted with their collective attitudes toward LVP and Camille. If neither woman shows up, then I can't imagine how they can fill even one episode of a reunion because there will be very little to rehash. I suspect that Andy is on board (or so he says) of bringing up all of the lawsuits because they're going to need material to drive drama at the reunion.
  20. The issue with Katie/Ashley and Robyn/Gizelle back in season 1 could have been semantics though I sided with Robyn and Gizelle back then and I side with Robyn now. Gizelle and Ashley wanted Robyn and Gizelle to admit that they had some white in them but neither did so because they come from two black parents with no identifiable links to white ancestry. I never took their denial to mean that it was impossible for either of them to have white ancestry, just that neither knew of their white ancestry and both come from black parents and that is what they claim themselves to be. Robyn's DNA test doesn't disprove what she had said before. I don't know what the rules are, but I wouldn't expect someone to claim to be biracial unless they had one parent of one race and another parent of another race.
  21. One episode in and Tamica 2.0 looks an awful lot like Tamica 1.0. She's shown growth within her family unit but she stills acts like an insecure, self-absorbed miserable person with her friends. I'm confused - last season we saw Jeff trying to hold onto the marriage while Reagan made a poor attempt at pretending they're working on their marriage when we all could see that she wanted out and she wanted out badly. Now this season we see Jeff talking as though the divorce was his idea and he's so much happier since...but both have largely attributed to the struggles of their relationship on the repercussions of Jeff's football career. Did those issues all of a sudden go away as soon as Reagan left the picture? I can believe that two people can have love for each other but decide that their love isn't the kind meant to withstand marriage and that kind of commitment but between the two of them, it seems a bit too put on. I'm assuming at some point, the bottom is going to fall out and there's going to be some incredible awkwardness between the two. Good for Kesley and Justin on their weight loss. They both look great. I don't know if the weight loss has brought a ton of confidence to Kelsey but I don't feel like her personality really stood out all that much last year. She seemed more on the shy but chill side and already she seems very extroverted.
  22. When Ashley played the miscarriage card, if I were Candiace, I would have let everything spill from my lips. I'm not generally confrontation so I can let a lot of messy slide but when people start to make themselves into a victim who thinks they're above criticism, nope - I'm gonna drag you real good without laying a hand on you. There were times I've defended Ashley and have even looked beyond her messy but for her to come to this point and pretend like she's not messy and she hasn't done to every one of those ladies what she's accusing Candiace of doing to her - that's messed up. Robyn has returned to reprise her role as Juan and Gizelle's lapdog. Gizelle continues to write the rules for everyone else but doesn't care to follow any of them herself.
  23. Ashley is messy as a fuck and she's got some nerve to claim that she doesn't judge Candiace. She judges all of the women and puts them on blast, especially with her shady THs. I don't understand why Candiace didn't bring up the fact that Ashley is the one that said she wanted to cut out the drinking in preparation for getting pregnant. Or the fact that she's telling the women not to tell Michael about how much she's drinking. Candiace was speaking on things that came out of Ashley's mouth and so Ashley doesn't get to play the 'how dare you' card in m books. Sometimes karma gets you and Candiace is giving Ashley a taste of her own messy medicine. I thought Gizelle was being extra about Karen being on IG live and not going out with them. Being in your bathroom in bed in your hotel room while jumping on IG live for a bit is not nearly the same experience or atmosphere as a loud, crowded bar with tons of alcohol and drunk people. Now if Karen had opted not to join the women for a nice dinner out or even an night in at Gizelle's room, I could see how that situation could be perceived as insulting. The plantation scenes were tough but I like educational moments on these shows and I appreciate seeing moments where these women can collectively show humility and empathy for others because their petty drama often has them too caught up in their own feelings to be reasonable and act like adults.
  24. That was poor dog training though. She wasn't IN the process of being an inconsiderate diva. By addressing the issue without any cause in the moment, they likely reinforced in her mind that it's them that has a problem with her and her success. To address it while in the process would be to call out the behaviour on the spot as she's demonstrating it. Calling out things after the fact or before they happen will either lead to Lu pushing back and requesting a plethora of examples to substantiate their accusations against OR it will give Lu examples of how she's minding her business and trying to have fun and these girls want to make it about her and bringing her down from the good space she's in. I agree with your concept, I don't agree that is what the women did.
  25. I agree. I will admit that Kyle's costume did give me pause but not because I thought it was too revealing or inappropriate for her age. It just seemed a bit attention-seeking at an event that was meant to be celebrating her daughter's birthday. For me it felt like she chose that costume so that she could be the story of the night. That said, I do think she looked great.
