  1. I could get that you go to your girlfriend's house and you get petty and gossip. But she was trying to justify why she would go to an event AT Monique's home and talk shit about Monique...because that's just what people do. She's just foul, lol.
  2. The Kesley/Justin/Tamica situation is so layered to me. I think Kelsey is intimidated by Tamica (and I think at times Tamica does that by design) but Kelsey's got a growing confidence to take on the advice everyone is giving her - that in order to settle Tamica down, you need to push back on her. Kelsey misplayed this particular hand and I do think she's been a bit extra this season but theoretically, I don't have any issue with her pushing back on Tamica when Tamica gets aggressive - she should do that. But another layer to that relationship is that I think Kelsey understands the dynamic between Justin and Tamica and when Tamica treats her as some eventually disposable sidepiece in Justin's life, it probably makes her relationship insecurities bubble deep down because she wants the ring, she's ready to get married and everyone knows that Justin is the sole reason why their relationship hasn't progressed to that level. While Tamica is aggressive and hits low blows (which are major character flaws), I can't help but like her. I like the positive and genuine changes she's made at home to better her marriage and her relationship with her children and I love how much she seems to enjoy spending that time with them. I love that she's so supportive of her husband and that even oddly demonstrated, she is loyal to her friends. I think she you need a strong/understanding personality to deal with her but at the heart of it, I think Tamica is a genuine person in her relationships and I think she does recognize those major flaws she has because she's been willing to sit back and let people call her out and she acknowledges her bad behaviour rather than make excuses for it. I still think there's hope for her to figure out how to be a better friend the same she figured out how to be a better mom and wife. I was confused about Tamica's anger over Reagan's 'help me plan my wedding comments because we've been hearing for weeks that Tamica wants to be involved and the first to know things but when I saw Racheal co-signing Tamica's frustration, I knew there had to be more to it. When they showed the various flashbacks of 'Raegan's moments', I got it. Even when Raegan isn't divulging, she still makes it about herself and for her to interrupt a conversation positively highlighting the great work Barry did with the fashion show AT the fashion show, it was rude. It was a moment to let it be about Barry not about the rollercoaster ride that is Raegan's new life. Jeff...oh Jeff. Get this man help. I did laugh at his Lion King impression though, lol.
  3. I agree that Gizelle is great reality TV but I think I'd stay far away from her in real life. I also agree that she engineered the fighting between Ashley and Candiace. Candiace and Robyn held on to the Michael information from the others (and each other) only up until the point where the information was relevant to the question being asked. Had that conversation happened between just Candiace and Robyn before the dinner, I think it highly unlikely that it would have been brought up, angry Candiace or not. Even if Candiace was holding that information in her arsenal, she becomes a next level of dumbass when she's verbally engaging with someone and I don't think she has the mental capacity to put it all together and deliver reads the way Ashley quickly came for her. Throw Gizelle into the mix and it's guaranteed that the information is going to get passed around and time and place be damned. The more inappropriate the time and place, the more Gizelle salivates to spill the tea.
  4. I thought Ashley came in snotty with the way she presented the discussion at the table without being prompted really. Ashley wanted Candiace to own what she said and explain herself and Candiace was handling her temper well enough when she attempted to do so but the moment Ashley realized that Candiace was doubling down on the things she had said behind her back, she wasn't speaking to Candiace to 'hear her', she was speaking at her to hurt her and I think that's what set Candiace off because Ashley immediately deflected from a conversation she started and threw low blows at Candiace on a subject that she knew was especially sensitive with Candiace in that moment. I don't personally care that she brought up the mom - I'm not one of those viewers that arbitrarily decide what's crossing a line and what isn't. I just think that Ashley was the instigator but even in recognizing that, there was no way to justify the level of rage that Candiace exhibited. She needs more than family therapy with her mom. I don't think they were planning an ambush at all. I think they were just being catty and gossiping about one of the guests before they arrived. I don't think Robyn ever intended to bring up the Michael comments and given how far gone Candiace went in her stupid rage and still hadn't mentioned Michael as a low blow (which at least would have been truth and not an 'opinion' for once), I'm not entirely sure she was ever truly 'planning' on bringing it up. It was Gizelle that was planning on spilling the tea the moment she heard it...just as she does with everything else she hears.
  5. No, I think that's what Craig says to himself and everyone else to rationalize why he's not still pursuing law and instead is sewing pillows and waking up at 2 in the afternoon, lol. I agree that I don't see the likelihood of him resuming a law career but I think he uses it as an excuse for people to get off his back when they point out to him that he isn't really thinking much about his present or his future for that matter. I've said from a previous episode, Craig is that idiot that thinks that he can take a hobby and turn it into a business/career so that it feels like he never has to work. Sometimes a hobby is fun because it's simply that - a hobby. Already seeing him try to parlay his pillows into an actual thing and we're not really seeing 'him' do much of any of the work. I look forward to randomly googling him one day after this show airs to find an update on him in a Where Are They Now article. At this rate, he's going to have to move back home with his parents or live on Shep's couch, lol.
  6. You're countering my comments as though I've said Shep and the show are to blame for Craig's behaviour or as if I've said that Craig was the model student before the show opportunity came along and before he met Shep Rose. I've said neither of those things and I believe neither of those things. Unless you think that the show and Shep are good influences or non-factors in Craig's life, then I guess that's where the conversation lay but I suspect we'd have to agree to disagree on that front. Craig had put in enough work and dedication to make it close to the finish line before this show began filming. Whatever may have tempted him stray, I don't think was helped at all by being on this show and hanging out with Shep. To be completely clear, I don't think that the show or Shep is actively making Craig do bad or stupid things. I think that Craig enjoys the spotlight and enjoys the social scene but his association with Shep (which in turn is because of the show) makes that lifestyle far more accessible to him and now it's hard to see outside of it. He thinks he can live like Shep and then fall back on his law degree at some point. None of this makes Craig any less impressionable and stupid.
  7. I didn't blame the show or say that Shep or the show was to blame. People can have bad influences in their life that directly or indirectly lead to them making bad decisions, it doesn't mean that their decisions aren't their own nor does it mean they aren't accountable for them. The two are not mutually exclusive.
  8. I'm too lazy to trace back the origins of this discussion but did LVP request a one-on-one and was denied or are people suggesting that it should have been offered? Either way, I'm personally in agreeance with the camp that believes that there was no obligation by Bravo to provide LVP a separate opportunity to address her time on the show or the controversy surrounding her. Just like Adrienne, LVP's decision to not show up to the reunion also coincided with her announcement that she did not intend to return to the show for another season. She had the opportunity to address anything she wanted to address via the reunion and at the very least, she could have negotiated only showing up for a couple of segments to address her parts of the season. At the end of the day, I don't even see why she would want to do a separate sit down at the reunion - it would only result in the women calling her a coward for not showing up and speaking to them directly and frankly, if she were to engage in that particular manner, I don't think they would be wrong for saying that about her.
  9. Candiace is fucking crazy. Her behaviour at that dinner was atrocious. I get Ashley started it, I get Ashley quicked went below the belt to disrespect Candiace the moment she didn't like what Candiace was saying (though she invited Candiace to explain herself), but Candiace's behaviour is next level. She's crying about her momma hitting her with her purse meanwhile she's waving a butterknife in someone's face. She's growing into the very image of her mother and it'll be a really fucking scary day for her when she realizes it. The way she handled her husband when he tried to calm her down - how she easily disregarded him, says a lot about who she is. Candiace is a brat who is used to operating in a world where her feelings, experiences and opinions are paramount to everyone else's. Candiace hasn't been acting like a 'friend' to Ashley so she can miss me with all this trying to be a good human BUT I can see why she thinks Ashley's world is a bit contrived but her lack of control over herself in the way she's addresses other people I think is a direct result of the way she's restricted from expressing herself to her mother. The degree of rage and resentment radiating off of her - everyone is catching it because she can't direct at the one person who she really wants to direct it toward. Miscarriage or not, trying for a baby or not, Ashley has been a messy ass bish since season 1 and she doesn't get any sympathy for me receiving her come uppance as the skeletons in her own closet come out. The way Ashley addressed the news about what Michael said and how she doubled down and immediatley said he didn't say that - I don't for a second believe her especially when she chose to make the conversation about Robyn's betrayal as a friend when Robyn did absolutely nothing wrong. Robyn didn't bring up the subject with Candiace, she simply co-signed what Candiace had said once she had said it. She isn't the one that raised the issue at the dinner and she had no desire to talk about it. She acted like Robyn was running around gossiping. Between the things Michael has said and the accusations and rumours out there about him, Ashley should be a bit more understanding of poeple's love to talk about the things they hear...especially because she's one of them. Speaking of Ashley, she's either brave or delusional to have gone up on stage and tried to sing live. The prerecorded song was awful, her live performance was cringe-worthy, lol.
  10. I didn't think this was a thing given the rampant social media culture where images are constantly reshared and used and often times, for direct or indirect profit. Tabloids are the most obvious and longstanding example I can think of where images are selected and bought from paps without any consultation with the celebrities who are the focus of the images. Those images are used to generate interest in potential buyers/clickbait and are often used to peddle false stories. I've heard of tabloids being sued for their content, but not for their use of imagery. I was under the assumption that for celebrities, there is an aspect of those rights that would cease to apply - like posing for a photographer on a red carpet with the understanding that those pictures then become the property of the photographer and he may sell them to an outlet for profit (as opposed a professional shoot where you would sign a waiver to allow the photographer to use your image for other purposes). It would have been interesting to see how they would have defended this case and how the court would have ruled after all of the facts were presented.
  11. The combination of this show and being friends with Shep has been Craig's worst enemy. He was committed to his academic career and his next phase as a lawyer until he saw the easy money this show brought him, the public platform it came with and the glamorous lifestyle he could be a part of. Craig is lost because he's too far down the rabbit hole to see that the show is only a short-term experience. I'm almost certain that in his mind, he's thinking he's going to live it up and when it's all over, then he can easily fall back on his law degree if he has to but I think he's severely underestimating how hard that transition may likely be given how far removed he's made himself from that life. When Craig was pointing out that Naiomi's boyfriend had to work all of the time and they couldn't really do anything together, on the surface it sounded like Naiomi was stupid for being with someone who had a career and was committed to that career and not her but what I think he was trying to allude to is that he doesn't need the money right now, therefore, he can afford to have those life experiences with her just as they had when they were together and she can't have that now. What totally goes over his head is that Naiomi wants someone who is career driven, not someone who can make money waking up at 2pm and sitting on their ass all day casually sewing pillows. He wants something different out of life because of the circumstances that the show has brought him and his thick head can't understand why Naiomi wouldn't want a life of exploring the world together and being with someone who can always have time for her. Naiomi has figured out what Craig hasn't...the fame and show money isn't going to last forever and she's not waiting until it's all over before she figures out what her next move is in life.
  12. Doggie Craig is so stinkin' cute! No way I see Shep keeping him though. I just don't think he has it in him to really give the care and attention that a dog needs when we've seen he's barely surviving taking care of himself. I could be in the minority here but I don't think Craig was crazy for being annoyed with Austen BUT I do think his anger was absolutely disproportionate to the circumstances and he made himself look completely foolish. Austen usually stays out late - if he intended to not stay out late, he should have told Craig that given that he invited Craig out with a group of people where Austen was the only person Craig knew...and more importantly, don't use your ex-girlfriend as a cop out. I would be annoyed too if my friend was bouncing early, leaving me with strangers and then saying 'yeah, my ex told me to be home by 11'. Austen should have simply owned his decision to leave early. But also, if Naiomi is telling the truth about Craig calling her a fucking c*** for any reason, but especially stupid shit like not wanting to go out....that's really fucked up. I loved those earrings that Chelsea got Cam. Was that strange man doggie Craig's nanny?
  13. I get that sense about all reality tv casts. Alcohol often seems like the centre of much of their interaction with one another. But it initially jumped out at me with this cast and I realized it may be because it seems that they start their days pretty early with alcohol. It's not the occasional brunch with a mimosa but it seems like it's not out of the ordinary for them to order a drink with their scrambled eggs on a Tuesday morning. In terms of actual consumption, they all seem to handle themselves relatively well with the exception of Jeff. All of his issues come front and centre when he gets too drunk to control his negative impulses.
  14. So in Kim's mind, if you can't afford a real Vera Wang or Stella McCartney, you should just shop at Walmart because how dare you to try to find affordable and trendy fashion. Designers are rarely trademarked in their design. They borrow or are inspired by patterns, styles in varied combinations and a lot of the times fashion lines are inspired by retro designs. Nobody is reinventing the fashion wheel and for those that at least stray far outside the box, are the ones that people see their 'art' on the runway and can't really picture their clothing anywhere but on a runway because it doesn't seem very functional. Fashion isn't exclusive to the rich and if it were, it would be possible for designers to trademark their work...but they can't. Kim just always wants to catch a buck. Either pay her for her name or pay her via a lawsuit. If I'm not mistaken, the website uses celebrity images to demonstrate the looks they are replicating from those celebrities, they aren't using the celebrity images to suggest that the celebrity is wearing their clothing or endorsing it.
  15. Catering would be great for him because he has a platform to promote a catering business in a way that can certainly generate high demand if done right. He can start small and then even invest in his own catering kitchen where he can take larger orders. The women seemed genuine in their feedback on his food and it was presented really well.
  16. If they wanted to stage a fight for relevancy, why not pick something new and low risk? How are they still having this fight over a year later?
  17. Because it's her mother and it's very likely that she is the reason that her mother's finances are intertwined with theirs to begin with. I don't see any evidence of Candiace living in that home or taking money from her mother in order to provide for Chris' wants. Candiace is taking her mother's money because it appeases the lavish lifestyle that Candiace wants to live. There's nothing wrong with the three of them sharing a mortgage and home. Many people have multi-family homes to lessen the burden of housing costs. I'm not judging either Candiace and Chris if living with her mother works best for them but it's clear that the situation doesn't work for Candiace because while she wants her mother's money, she doesn't want her presence and that's not on Chris, that's on Candiace.
  18. Why would Khloe consult with TRISTIAN'S PEOPLE to confirm the status of his relationship with a pregnant baby momma? When you live that life with that reputation, your inner circle is going to be the people that have your back no matter what and will go to lengths to protect you. Khloe should know that since she's got her own inner circle that does the same for her and her sisters. She's trying to make it seem like she was being considerate and did her due diligence but what it sounds like to me is that if Khloe is even half telling the truth, her instincts kicked in and she ignored them. She let words easily placate her conscious because she was interested in being with him. Why not reach out to Jordyn and ask her yourself about the status of her relationship with Tristian? If Jordyn came back with anything other than 'no, we're not together anymore', it would have been even more obvious that the situation isn't something she should mess with.
  19. I highly doubt Shep's playboy ways is a result of being the cream of the crop in Charleston. Craig and Austen occupy the same city limits as him and I would argue that both are better looking than him, with Craig easily being the best looking guy on the show to me. Like anywhere, and especially true in LA, 'meh' looks and even a crappy personality can win you some decent arm candy so long as you have money and even better if you've got social status. Shep has both of those things thanks to his family name and he milks every bit of it.
  20. Is it safe to say that Patricia's kaftan phase has passed? Danni was an absolute pushover in her conversation with Madison. Even if Madison was telling the truth about her friend reaching out to Gentry, Madison should have at least acknowledged to Danni that it was a shitty thing to do and she understands how it may have come across poorly to Danni. But instead, Madison aggressively addresses the situation, gets an unwarranted apology by someone who simply told the truth and then brushed off the apology with a 'yeah'. Unlikely I'm going to like this one. It would have been interesting to see how her conversation with Madison would have gone done if Kathryn was there. Would she have stood up for Danni? Shep is an asshole beyond measure. He's so instinctively mean that it's hard to believe there's a lot of 'good human' in there. So....did anyone eat that cake?
  21. As much of a doofus as Reece appears to be, he at least had the common sense to say that it would be highly inappropriate to announce their pregnancy at someone else's event. And I say common sense but it wasn't that all obvious to Reagan who has and continues to come across a self-absorbed. Jeff doesn't seem like any picnic and I do think a lot of that is likely fueled by the head issues she's suffered from his football days. I'm not confident that he's getting the appropriate help for it and I'm even less confident that the level of drinking we're seeing on the show is good for him. He can come across as a really intimidating guy but when he starts drinking (and his drunk self was totally out of line this episode), I feel he's more of a physical threat to himself than he is to others, though that still doesn't make it healthy to be around. His friends should do a better job of at least keeping his drinking in check. The 'friends' of the cast are all great personalities that I really love - Rachael, Jared, Tamica's brother and her friend. It seems like the entire group of them are genuine friends and do hang out beyond the lights and cameras. Both Justin and Barry have said that the key to handling Tamica is to fight back. Her instinct is to challenge and when you cower, she has no respect for you and will take advantage. I think Kelsey took that advice to heart and did the most. Tamica and Jeff were having a loud conversation but they weren't fighting and Tamica didn't seem confrontational upon Kelsey's initial comment about her being too loud but Kelsey was looking to do the most. She gave no time for a response before pouncing and shoving her hand so close to Tamica's face and then grabbing her like a dog on a leash to take her outside - fuck that, I don't blame Tamica for not playing ball with that. Being a guest in someone's home doesn't mean they can physically disrespect you like that. Looks like next week she makes a good call and takes herself and her hot as husband home soon after Kelsey starts chomping at the bits for her.
  22. For all they do to 'look' young, I think their excessive drinking on the show may have more to do with 'feeling' young. I often get that same impression when I watch the OC women get excessively drunk and run around looking like grown fools.
  23. I know the mom was invited to the engagement party and didn't attend (per what Jax and Brittney said on the show) but I vaguely recall Jax mentioning on the show that he didn't invite his mom to his wedding. I don't think she would show up but whether that was by her own choice or Jax's, I'm not entirely sure of.
  24. Yeah, I was surprised myself and I looked at different sites but I think they probably sourced each other and all have the same wrong information listed. I just googled a picture of Gizelle next to Sherman at a red carpet event where she's wearing heels and she appears shorter than him in the picture yet Sherman's basketball stats have him listed at 6'. I'd say she's about Robyn's height and Robyn says she's just under 5'8 so I would put Gizelle somewhere around there. In any case, 5'8 is tall and there's no reason why someone that tall should look that short just based on the fit of their clothes. Short people like myself are out here trying to elongate and this woman is doing the opposite...and not to her benefit, lol.
  25. At the risk of sounding really superficial, Gizelle needs to rethink her shorts attire. She looked really stalky in those tight shorts and so I googled her height and it says she's 6'. I never thought her to be that tall but when I saw her this episode, I certainly didn't think she was as short as she appeared either. Because she has thicker legs, the fit of the shorts really pulled attention in all of the wrong ways. A looser fit, even at a short length would have looked much better, in my opinion. Monique looked absolutely stunning at her photoshoot but I find her to be a beautiful woman who has a great sense of style and I love her personality. I feel she's the most genuine of the girls and is willing to call a spade a spade. It's unfortunate that Gizelle is so low key jealous of this woman and her life because I sense that Monique would be a fun friend to have in her corner. Candiace is an idiot. She has all of these understandable explanations in her THs about her hard on for Ashley yet she mentions none of them when in confrontation (and holy hell did she go from 0-100 real quick). Ashley shouldn't have brought up the situation yet again but Candiace could have saved herself from some of her foolishness if she off the jump said 'hey, I don't want to minimize what you personally went through with your miscarriage but that's entirely separate from me thinking you and Michael's marriage is a sham which is why I didn't really believe his sorrow at Monique's party, especially after hearing that he wanted to suck someone's d*** at your uncle's party...or maybe that's how your marriage rolls and I'm mistaken'. Felt bad for Chris though. I like him from what I've seen...he looks really committed to his food and I'm glad it was well received...at least they got as far as the appetizers before shit hit the fan. It's a shame that Candiace couldn't have managed her temper on a night that was meant to be for her husband to showcase his talents. Candiace has a lot to say about Ashley and her mother...there's a lot of irony in the fact that she doesn't realize how similar she is to both of them.
