As for the tattoo story I think it was more about Adam a show if her runs down the hill to long with Bonnie things will get out of control. @Chaos Theory, I'm not feeling well and just woke up so I might be to fuzzy-headed to get it. Can you please explain this sentence to me? I've read it a few times and the m just not getting it. Thanks.

You ladies are so nice, I knew this was the right group to ask. Thank you all for the kind words and mostly for the suggestions. @geauxaway, I also love gadgets, when I had my cabin built I specifically asked for a big double drawer for all of my gadgets. Great ideas, thanks! @druzy, thank you. I had thought of a few things on your list but gas cards are a great idea. I'm definitely using your ideas. Thank you all. Edited to add: The sponsor who matched me up with the family said that the mom is going back to school in the spring when the youngest is in elementary school full time. I'd like to get her something to encourage that.

Thanks!! I'm going to do gift cards like that but I also wanted to make up the basket for the mother, I'm just not creative enough to think of what should go inside. I'm retired and living my dream life, I have no kids of my own to spoil for Christmas so I'm adopting a few this year. It's so fun to buy for the kids, I'm probably going to go a bit overboard. The kids are 5, 7, 10 and 12, I have been on Amazon looking at things in their lists and I think this will be a blast. Of course their two kitties will also get presents.

May I ask for a bit of advice or is that considered off topic? I don't see an off topic board so I hope it's within the rules to ask here. I don't post much but I read this part of of site more than any other so I feel like I "know" you all better than any other thread. Ok, here's my question. I've adopted a family for the holidays, the family has mom, 2 boys and 2 girls, the dad died in a car accident in 2015. I've received wish lists for the kids but mom insists she doesn't want anything. Along with a few ideas I have for her I'm thinking of putting together a household type basket for her. I'll get a nice basket and I want to add stuff that we can all use new of, but don't often buy for ourselves. My problem is that I'm not at all creative so aside from kitchen towels/dish cloths and maybe some candles, I'm out of ideas. My I ask what you ladies would want in such a basket? I just want to fill it with useful things and maybe a fun item or two. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

In Memoriam: Entertainment Industry Celebrity Deaths
Talky Tina replied to Kromm's topic in Everything Else TV
My very first concert was when I was a kid and went with my parents to see Freddie Hart and Tanya Tucker. I wasn't much into the music but the entire day holds great family memories. -
I'm so sorry about your dad, it shouldn't but it always stuns me when people are so mean. This same thing happens to me a lot. I've actually had people leave the room when they hear I'm an atheist because I "scare" them. I've been told so many times that I'm going to hell. I usually gasp and say "damn, I probably won't get any presents from santa either". I've been told I couldn't possibly have morals and ethics without god. What's worse for me is the demeaning, condescending "I'll pray for you". I'm still trying to think of a good come back to that one. Why can't people just remember that we're all different with different beliefs and just have respect for them all?!
-
Why? I think it's a good way to mark the growth of a baby. Why is it such a problem?

That's terrible, I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm a die hard atheist but I have respect for all beliefs and faiths. I can't even imagine telling someone they're stupid for their beliefs.

878 million??!! That has to be a typo.

Vicki Gunvalson: Her Love Tank Runneth Over
Talky Tina replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
She actually drew them on Uncle Leo which was even funnier. Vicki is the Michael Jackson of the Housewives, she looks different (and worse) every season. It's like a game to wonder what she'll do to her face next. -
Who are Jade and Stephan?

There's no may be about it. It was Crusty.

I will never ever understand how people can look at dirty, ugly buildings and exclaim "what a great view". The "great views" in the Pittsburgh episode were among the ugliest views I've ever seen. Dirty rooftops and dirty buildings. That's not a good view in my opinion.

The Show: Sad Pibbles and Happy Tails
Talky Tina replied to dbell1's topic in Pit Bulls And Parolees [V]
Same here. I rescued a sweet, snuggly pit bull after losing my Newfoundland and Chihuahua within 6 months of each other, those 2 were bonded like no dogs I'd ever seen in my life. I adopted my first Pit, then took her back to the shelter a few months later and she and I adopted her brother. They chose each other, I was just their driver that day, as soon as they saw each other I knew he was the one. They are my first Pits and I adore them. Believe it or not, they are great farm dogs, they're out with me every morning checking on the animals. If it wasn't for this show, I never would have adopted them. -
I like Mike a lot now, but the "Big Daddy Sitch" thing is getting really old.

And that's one of the reasons I've never had and never wanted kids. I'm a great auntie to my niece and 2 nephews but I never wanted kids of my own. Everyone told me I'd change my mind when I announced at 12 that I would never have kids. I didn't change it. I've had my life planned the way I wanted it for a long time and kids were never part of that plan. I put in my 25 years with the government and retired before age 50 and moved to the country to the property I purchased when I was in my 20s. I now live in a beautiful little log cabin in the middle of 36 acres and I have a small farm. I couldn't have done any of that if I was responsible for kids. People tell me that with no kids I'll be lonely when I'm older. Nope. I love being alone, I'll be just fine. EDIT: Sorry, I went so off topic.

I don't feel for her in the least. I feel for the innocent children in the home but I feel nothing but contempt for Jenelle and I feel she's getting exactly what she deserves. When has Jenelle ever "felt" anything for anyone? In my opinion, she doesn't deserve an ounce of pity or sympathy. Eff her.

Out of Lurk-Ville again. I also have a lot of law enforcement in my family and her not disclosing that he has so many weapons pissed me off. Another thing that struck me is that she said the 4 kids were asleep. From personal experience, I can tell you that they were more than likely awake and all huddled together in a closet or something because they were terrified. This is a horrible thing to say but that 911 call didn't make me feel a bit sorry for her. If not for the kids, I probably would have laughed at her getting a taste of her own medicine. Even though I have no human children, I have a lot of compassion for them and would love to be able to do something to help these kids. I'm wondering if I may join your "Save Kaiser" bus.

Trials and Tribulations of Juicy and Tre...
Talky Tina replied to Stinger97's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
Please excuse this quote box. But that's also a crime. My niece in law came to this country from the Philippines. She insisted on becoming a citizen the correct way. She refused to accept my nephew's proposal until she became a citizen, which she did. She committed no crimes to get here and legally became a citizen. Coming in to this country illegally is a crime. A lot if people seem to forget that. -
Floribama Shore - General Discussion
Talky Tina replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Floribama Shore
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before. What the hell is up with Candace's teeth? The front teeth are huge and white and the side teeth when she smiles are small and not so white. Her teeth remind me of the flipper thingys the kids on Toddlers and Tiaras used to wear. It's so distracting to me, I rewinded a few times to get a better look. -
I wonder why they registered for so many alcohol related items. I'm surprised at how many things have already been bought for them. One thing I don't understand about situations like Mike's. I would want to turn myself in and get it over with as quickly as possible. It sounds like he might be waiting for the full 60 days before he goes in.

I had to come out from Lurk-Ville to say that I couldn't agree more. This witch has needed a good comeuppance for a long, long time. I think she'll keep showing her ass (she just can't stop) and they'll finally get rid of her before next season. I don't watch anymore but that's my hope. Back to Lurk-Ville again. You guys are so funny, snarky and often insightful, you've helped me waste a LOT of time. Thanks for the entertainment.

That is painting with a wide brush. Speaking as someone who's father, grandfather, two uncles and younger brother (my brother was killed in the line of duty) are all police officers, I find this offensive. It's the same as racial stereotypes, the same as saying all overweight people are fat and lazy etc etc. People like to talk all kinds of shit about police officers but if you have someone trying to climb in your window in the middle of the night, they sure are happy that they're there. I just don't understand how someone can say something like this in a serious way. Not all police officers are the same and I know for a fact that the vast majority are good, hard working, decent people who care about upholding the law.

Beautiful kitty @AgentRXS, she looks a lot like one of my cats. I've never tried a leash on a cat, is it hard to get them used to it? It looks like I'm getting a couple of llamas. I've always loved them and have always thought they're such beautiful animals so when the opportunity popped up, I grabbed it. One of the people in my town has them but he's getting too old to properly care for them and he offered them to me. I have helped him out at his ranch before and he knew how much I loved his llamas. They're really sweet, social animals. My cousin and his husband are contractors and they're building me a stable and enclosures for them. I can't wait! @DeLurker, I'll post some pictures of Jake and Charlotte later on tonight. Charlotte is about the size of Jake's head and could eat her in one bite but they are best buddies. And Charlotte is definitely the boss in their relationship.
