  1. It drives me insane when they say they suffer from "post partum". It's post partum depression you morons. Any woman who has just given birth is post partum.
  2. The clip with the gum still makes my blood boil. She was so cold hearted with that poor kid. She's always been a bitch and I'm not surprised that more of the kids haven't flown the coop. She must be bribing them somehow. I wonder where she's getting her money these days. The upkeep/insurance/utilities on that house must be really expensive. I wonder how she manages.
  3. The people here are not saying anything different than what is said on every thread in every forum on this site. This couple isn't immune to assumption and criticism even though some seem to think they're so perfect. I hate seeing people criticize other's opinions and viewpoints on this show. These people deserve the criticism and negativity they get because they're no better than any other reality "stars" out there. They exploit their kids for money and fame just like all the rest.
  4. I can't stand Cory. I've hung on to this show mainly so I can keep reading you all but Cory may be enough for me to be done. Yuck.
  5. @QuinnM, do you have links to your story about Colin hurting his siblings? I've just searched all I can and I've found nothing that indicates that he's physically assaulted/hurt/injured anyone. That's some horrible stuff to say about a child.
  6. Sorry for butting into the conversation. I think it's so damn sad that a nice guy is overlooked simply because he isn't attractive in some pictures. Who cares what a guy looks like on the outside? None of that matters. If a guy is nice, caring, compassionate and has a good sense of humor, I couldn't care less what he looks like. Looks can fade and go away but a guy who's attractive on the inside is the real prize. It's sad that a nice guy is shunned because he doesn't look good enough.
  7. Where is this coming from that Colin hurt Kate is his siblings? I have read nothing about that. Are there any links or anything so I can read it?
  8. Taylor is Maci's husband right? What an asshole. I hope this gets his ugly ass fired. Apologies expected in 5...4...3...
  9. I hated it too. I'll never forget one scene where Laura is crying and had one fake tear glued to her face. She ran through the woods, went through ponds, fell a few times but when she finally got home, that one fake tear was still glued to her face. After an eye roll that lasted an hour, I was done.
  10. I hate the Corolla Hatchback commercials. They make no sense to me. In one a woman gets in the back seat, they spin in circles , she hits a piñata and it's over. In the next, 4 people are running from a dog, then they're at a hospital, spin in circles and it's done. Has anyone seen them? Do they make sense to anyone else?
  11. Ouch. I'm 51 and my work still looks really good. It depends on how well the work was done and how well it was cared for afterwards. I see absolutely nothing wrong with us old gross 50 year olds having tattoos.
  12. YIKES!!!! What the...I mean who is that?! Is that the Jill Rodriguez I keep reading about here? I thought Olive Oyl had tarted herself up and popped out of the page. I've read some interesting things about her here, I think I'm going to have to dig a bit deeper now. She's talking about her son? She's somethin' ain't she?
  13. Thanks. It basically a log cabin right in the middle of of the property. I love the look and feel of log cabins. It's a pretty simple place. Kitchen with big family type room my bedroom and a guest room and a couple of bathrooms. Nothing fancy but it's all mine and I watched it grow from a foundation to my house! I like the city too, I lived and worked there for many years, I just knew I wanted the country when I retired. @jcbrown, I'm all finished with my Christmas shopping too. I'm waiting for a Roomba to arrive and then I'll start wrapping everything. It's a great feeling to be done and to not have to stress isn't it?!
  14. I couldn't care less what they call each other. They've been together for a while and have a kid so who cares if he calls her wife? I don't usually watch Ellen (can't stand her) but had it on while I was baking today. I really liked Travis but I had no clue who he was until just a few minutes ago. He seemed like a decent guy. For some weird ass reason I have always felt a bit sorry for Kylie. She was so young when she was yanked onto a national stage, I just can't be too hard on her. I think deep down, she's probably the nicest of the sisters. I don't watch much so I could be way off.
  15. I've never had reason to use a child car seat but I once bought those kinds of strap covers from a shower registry. From what I recall they go on with Velcro and are meant to come off to be laundered. That's just disgusting. I wonder if she will at least wash them before Sam has to use that seat. Why would anyone want the public to see how dirty they are? Where's all that "....next to godliness" stuff? Or does that not apply to them?
  16. @Happyfatchick, I have a sister who sounds a lot like your friend. I'm the youngest of 3 siblings, my brother is the oldest, then my sister then 5 years later I came along. When I was 23 a close relative died and us 3 siblings inherited a good amount of money. It wasn't quit your job and move to an island money but to me it was a lot. Before we received the money, I had always pictured how I wanted my life to be, I had an exact plan in mind, I would get my degree, a job with the best retirement benefits i could find, work my ass off and retire to the country as soon as I could. Within a year my brother and sister had spent almost all of their money and I hadn't touched mine yet. A few years later I had a chance to buy 40 acres of property right in the area I'd planned to retire. I snatched it up fast. I had a camper on my land and went up to stay every chance I got. My cousin and his husband are contractors and we started putting some plans together. I was in no hurry because I knew I couldn't live out there for a while yet so it took about ten years to build my cabin. No loans, no mortgage, we would figure out what needed to be done next and I would save until I had enough and they'd go build it. I paid for all materials and all my cousins wanted in return was a few acres on the other side of my land. I gave them 6. I've been retired and I'm my house for a few years now (best years of my life!!) And my sister still seems to think I owe her part of my money and/or my land. She seems to think that since I "gave" our cousin some property I should also give some to her, never mind the fact that they built my house. She's been on me for years and years. I finally cut her out a while back. I love my sister but in my opinion I don't owe her a damn thing. If she was a nice person I would have helped her more. Love mayonnaise, hate mustard. I can't even stand the smell of it and I don't think I've ever bought any in my life. Ranch dressing is the YUM! Pardon any errors please. I'm kicked back in front of the fire with a large glass of wine. It's cold and windy tonight. Love it.
  17. My uncle is a junior and he's known to everyone as Deuce. My niece's brother in law is named Norman Dean and he's named after the 5 generations of men behind him (I think he's the 6th) and he's always been known as BJ. There is no B nor a J in any of his names but that's when everyone calls him. Nicknames can be weird.
  18. Exactly. I hate how these days anybody who isn't perceived as normal are "definitely on the spectrum". It drives me insane. Sometimes weird is just weird and an asshole is just an asshole.
  19. That's so funny! I've always called her Jelly Beansimon.
  20. Prepare for her return? I don't think Carly will show up on their doorstep when she's 18 with her suitcase. I doubt if she'll "return" to them. Especially if she catches a few episodes of the show.
  21. @LBS, yes!! That's the kind of thing I'm thinking about. I'm always thinking that I need a new one of whatever I'm using but never buy new. I like the spoon rest idea. I think I mentioned that I took a lot of the suggestions you have all given me and made the mom a pampering basket. I bought a bunch of fuzzy socks and things that @teapot suggested and other ideas from you all. Without you I probably wouldn't have done a big basket like that. For her pamper one I bought a pretty basket that she can use for just about anything. I want to get creative with the container for the kitchen stuff but haven't thought of anything yet. The only thing that comes to mind is a big collander but I'm not sure. I get so damn excited every Christmas. It's usually just me, my cousin and his husband and the animals. My cousin and his husband are both contractors and they built my house. I paid them with 6 acres on my land. I'm especially excited this year to be able to buy for kids and for a family that needs it.
  22. You ladies are the best. I shouldn't keep saying ladies because I'm not sure if we have men here as well. Apologies to any men that may be here. Exactly!! I know that's what my mom would have done. As for spa certificates and the like , I'm never sure about those because, for me, I don't like being touched. I've never had a manicure, pedicure, massage or anything like that. I know I'm in the extreme minority with that. I have collected a great mani/pedi set over the years and I find it relaxing to do my own. @Maharincess, I am looking for kitchen ideas, I already have a "pamper" basket with items that were suggested here but I want to fix up a kitchen basket. (can you tell I love doing basket type presents with lots of little things?). I'm trying to think of things in the kitchen that when you pull it out to use it, you think to yourself "damn, I really need a new one", but always forget to buy a new one. Does this make sense?! I already have a couple of dishtowel/potholder sets, a nice set of measuring spoons and cups and things like that. Her bio said she liked to make home cooked meals for the kids. I completed their Thanksgiving shopping last week. I bought a few things and then sent grocery store gift cards so the mom can buy what she wants. I also got a gift card to a pie shop in town. Best pies I've ever had. Now I get to the fun part and I get to go Christmas shopping for them. I haven't bought for kids in years so I'm glad I have detailed lists from the sponsor. Happy Sunday everyone.
  23. I caught a few minutes of this episode after not watching for a few years. Is the Eva that's on the show Eva Pigford from America's Next Top Model? Oops. I see the answer above. Sorry!
