  1. I am totally an Anderson Cooper fan. I love him..but Kathy Griffin gets on my last nerve. I think if they just find him a different side-kick on new years it would be a great show.
  2. I agree. They took an historic house and removed everything historic about it. I think the house was beautiful when they were done, but I thought they would "RESTORE" the house to it's glory days. I, too, am wondering who would rent that out? How much it would cost? I live in PA about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia and there are a lot of old beautiful bed and breakfast places here that are quaint and historic. I've been to a few in Cape May, NJ about a 90 min drive that are gorgeous. It was bit of an odd show. I can't imagine how much that renovation cost.
  3. I totally agree. I can't imagine that someone with 25 broken bones (even a healthy male), which includes a broken hip, collar bone, and broken ankle doesn't have to go through some sort of rehab. So they are telling us that he was only in the hospital for 2 weeks, had 4 surgeries and went through no rehab. I've knew a guy that had a bad fall and broke his hip and he had to go through rehab. Unless they don't have medical insurance, I fail to believe them that there was no rehab. Also, if you have insurance, wouldn't that cover a rehabilitation specialist/nurse to come to your home. I can't imagine Jane doing all the work. Just my opinion. But I've lost interest in this show.
  4. The Last Alaskans is a wonderful documentary (I wouldn't call it a reality show) focused on families that currently reside in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. I caught the show on the Animal Planet when it aired earlier this year and I loved it!!! I highly recommend it and I read that it will be renewed for a second season in 2016. I'm sure the Kilcher's live and work hard and I do like their show, but The Last Alaskans are a whole other breed. I've watched all the shows and could watch them over and over again. The area is absolutely beautiful and it's a shame that once these families are gone it will no longer be inhabited. I pasted a brief summary below. In 1980, the U.S. government banned new human occupation in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, a protected area, home to thousands of native animals and pristine terrain spanning roughly the size of South Carolina. Currently, only a handful of families spread across seven permitted cabins are allowed to remain in the refuge. Within less than 100 years, all remaining permits will reach expiration, and there will be no human presence left. There is also a thread on this forum for the show.
  5. Looks like Amy and her husband are going to shunned from the family soon. Someone has to help Anna. http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/josh-duggar-sex-scandal-family-using-porn-addict-wife-anna-ratings/
  6. It's my understanding that Atz and Jane have two children. Who is taking care of them? I remember reading that they don't want the children filmed, but are they even living in the same house as their parents? It's very strange to me. I also agree with the above post --- is no one helping Jane. It's all a bit staged if you want my opinion.
  7. I think the big crisis was moving the fireplace in the living room.
  8. I'm just now reading her book at just got to the part where they were accusing her of ruining TC wedding. Tom Cruise sounds like a total wacko. The information she provided while at his house and he was freaking out about the cookie dough was actually crazy. He seems to act like a total immature kid and he is coddled constantly. And the amount of money she has given the church is unbelievable. I can only imagine how much money they get from bigger celebs.
  9. Agreed!!! Both Wolf and Don Lemon are horrible news anchors/reporters. I would rather watch Wolf over Don though.... Don Lemon just pisses me off when I watch him. But --- I do love Anderson Cooper!! He's one of the only reasons I watch CNN.
  10. Did anyone happen to catch Pather Panchali on last evening? They showed the entire trilogy/series, but I only watched the first one. I was bored and nothing else on the TV interested me so I watched it. I actually thought it was good even though there was sub-titles (I normally have a hard time watch foreign films with sub-titles) and the acting wasn't very good.
  11. I they are supposed to be paper towel holders. They are pathetic ugly ...... I'm surprised she didn't put butterflies on it.
  12. Thank you. I watch his shows on the Create Channel and have seen this advertised, but haven't had a chance until now.
  13. I"m on a role today --- one more thing I have to add. I'm a plus-size, but I know how to sit like a lady on a couch. Janelle sits like a line-backer. Damn -- close the knees and cross the legs to the side.
  14. OMG I totally agree.... It pisses me off that Kody tried to make it look like that. Meri was miserable, lonely and vulnerable. She truly felt like someone was giving her real affection and love - something she hasn't had in a long time from Kody. I feel sorry for her for that -- but she totally backtracked to make it look like someone was targeting her. I watched the entire show last night and if I rolled my eyes anymore they would have stuck to the back of my head!!!! This family is nothing but lies.... and Robyn ass is huge...(just had to throw that in)
  15. I'm dying to know what the kids think about all of this now that it's out in the open. Goodness, wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall. I would think the older kids would be reeling about all of this. What do they think about Meri? What do they think of their father? I'm sure it will not be brought up at all in next week's tell-all.
  16. I still watch the show, but I agree it's so staged. They have the same issues every season. I only watch it because there really is nothing else on that interests me, but the last few weeks I found myself falling asleep or turning the channel. Is just the same things over and over - we don't want to starve to death, Atz saving the herd, Jane whining about not being a man and killing things, Otto looking through the junkyard.

  18. OMG - i thought I was the only one hearing this!!!! It's so annoying. I'm from the Philly area and I say a lot of things, but I was taught proper grammar. I think I saw one episode where both of them said it at least 20 times during the show. I really wanted to send an email. I don't care for y'all's either. I think Joanna has pretty taste, but I agree every house looks the same. I'm glad I found this thread.
  19. Not sure if anyone here knows, but there has been a thread on this forum under HBO Documentaries for ages. Going Clear: Scientology and it's Prison of Belief. I've been reading it since HBO aired the documentary. There is a lot of good stuff on there. Not that I don't find this interesting.... just thought you may want to check it out.
  20. I don't believe him for one second. He's sorry he got caught. If he didn't get caught, he would still be cheating on her. She needs to get the hell out of there. Blackmail JB for some money and live somewhere else.
  21. I didn't see last nights episode, but I DVR'd it. After reading everyone's comments on this portrait, I decided to look it up. All I can say - WTF!!!! He looks deranged. In fact, I thought I was looking at FDR for a minute. And the thumbs up of Dayton/David (whatever his name is) is even weirder. WTH was Robin thinking? This family is absolutely nuts.... I think they all are clinically depressed and I have a feeling their family is in a bad way (we just don't see it).
  22. I always like the movie Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation with Maureen O'Hara. She was gorgeous in that movie and she had to be in her 40's. She was a good match for Jimmy Stewart. But I basically like her in any movie, especially How Green Was My Valley.
  23. Well, this interview looks like it's going to be interesting. I respect Leah Remini for coming out and being honest about the whole cult. She seems to be in a better place. Also, it confirmed why I really can't stand Tom Cruise even more. http://www.redbookmag.com/life/friends-family/news/a40557/leah-remini-scientology-tom-cruise/
  24. Murdered!!!!! Holy crap. I almost spit out my iced tea reading that. My grandmother just turned 94, volunteers at the hospital, drives and lives on her own. She's a feisty Italian. She smoked 65 years and drank her share of cocktails and she outlived two husbands/marriages, both which lasted 35 years each and they were happy marriages.
  25. I agree with the black eyeliner, but I think she really needs to tone down that red hair color. When she first started on the show, her hair was more brown or auburn. The current color just washes her out and is not very becoming on her. Regarding the yogurt making -- I agree, it could be a whole show. She could make so many things other than what you mentioned. How about making cheese by scratch. Ina, Lydia and Martha have done it many times and it's not hard.
