  1. The West Wing WKRP in Cincinnati Sports Night Hill Street Blues Adam 12 The Office Fawlty Towers
  2. There was an inadvertent TWW reference on Jeopardy! tonight. The category was about TV quotes, and clue was "If I had a gun, with two bullets, and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden and Toby, I would shoot Toby twice." Two contestants rang in, guessing Sam Seaborn and Jed Bartlet...the correct response was Michael Scott from "The Office". Oh my...
  3. I had no idea, but the only part of Lawrence of Arabia I remember seeing was the motorcycle accident at the start of the film. I wasn't sure the time frame was right, but it was my wild guess. I knew it was wrong, but all I could think of was the Chisholm Trail.
  4. I'm a Mopar guy (and bought a new Dodge in 2014...) and love that commercial.
  5. It just has to get them past the Cowboys, I don't care about anything else!
  6. I think "Drink Responsibly" means drink all you want, just don't drive if you do, so I can see being out until dawn as "responsible" as long as you call the Clydesdales for a ride home.
  7. Truer words were never spoken (written?)...of course as someone (maybe on TWOP) once said, there isn't enough cocaine in the world for Sorkin to have done Sports Night and The West Wing at the same time.
  8. Close...Edwin Newman. We watched NBC news all the time when I was a kid, so I remember him well.
  9. Way back then, they put out a scale model of the car from that series - somewhere in a box, I probably have what's left of the one I built.
  10. Doesn't matter - arrest them all, and let the DA sort it out...
  11. Do you need to give them your real name and DOB, roseha? I have any number of fake names I would use for stuff like that, plus an old Juno.com e-mail that I only use when I don't care who has it.
  12. I watch very few new shows these days, but if Law & Order, Original Recipe is on, I'll leave that on in the background all day and night.
  13. I just saw that for the first time today, Snowprince - that's cool that she's a "real person" doing it. What a nice story!
  14. Many newer cars do have this feature - the one I bought earlier this year does. Turn on the wipers, and the headlights come on a few seconds later. It also has an "auto" selection on the headlight switch, so they come on automatically when it gets dark, regardless of what the wipers are doing.
  15. That's why Aaron Sorkin raised the "walk and talk" to an art form.
  16. I'm in the middle of my annual marathon of TWW Christmas episodes. Damn, Sorkin can write some moving Christmas episodes - here, Sports Night, Studio 60, they all had some classics. It's been a while since I've watched any TWW, and I'm reminded again how amazing this show was, and how much I miss it. I'm also reminded why 'In Excelsis Deo' is about my favorite episode of the series. Toby was always my favorite character, and as a veteran, the story of the homeless vet hits close to home. I always have a hard time getting through this exchange between the President and Toby: "Toby, if we start pulling strings like this, you don't think every homeless veteran would come out of the woodwork?" "I can only hope, sir." Anyway, Happy Holidays to all, and remember, nothing says Christmas like animal fables in iambic verse...
  17. That would make things interesting down here in Charlotte, mojoween. I guess if the Giants can't be there, I'd take my new local team in it.
  18. Yes it is, hence the "incompetence and bumbling" reference. Missed it by that much...
  19. Fortunately I haven't seen their ads yet, but yes, your description of the store is right on. I shop there once in a while, but I much prefer Ollie's Bargain Outlet when I'm in that sort of shopping mood.
  20. I love this commercial for Timberland boots:
