  1. I may have to try that, forumfish. I used to think Cablevision was the worst company in the world, until I moved and ended up in a TWC area. Two and a half years as a customer, and each year, as a "reward" for being a loyal customer, my bill goes up significantly. Talking to them on the phone gets you no where, and the one time I called because one of their work crews cut my service - fun trying to work from home without internet access - it took over an hour and 8 different transfers before I found someone who would listen to me, and not just try to make an appointment for a service call three days later. My other options are the satellite services, and I'm really ready to make a change.
  2. I watched it regularly when it first aired, but I can't say that I've seen an episode since, other than a random one I happened to come across. I did enjoy it back in the day, but it's not one of those shows that I've wanted to back and watch over and over like some old favorites.
  3. They were discussing plans for a traffic study around the stadium.
  4. I don't understand that commercial at all. They capture a small bird and hold it hostage while they flee across state lines? Are they stopping to see if they can get any ransom payments from those people along the way? And at the end, are all of the other birds fighting back to free their friend? As if they were organized?
  5. Years ago, we took the brewery tour in St. Louis. For reasons beyond explanation, I passed on the Spuds McKenzie Christmas ornament. I still kick myself over that one.
  6. I love this Nest Thermostat commercial with the angry grandpa. "Being cold builds character..."
  7. I haven't seen it yet, but now, if I do, that's all I'll think about.
  8. Probably by the standings after DJ.

  11. That's the latest being reported on the local news here in Charlotte. I know the intersection where the accident occurred, and I can see how it happened - apparently it's fourth worst in terms of accidents in Charlotte. It could have been much worse. Reports are the other driver also suffered "non-life threatening injuries" but was also transported to a local hospital.
  12. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2014/12/01/elizabeth-lauten-nbc-obama-girls/19730421/ Jed would have called in the 82nd Airborne...

  14. Well, you know a lot of turkeys don't survive Thanksgiving...
  15. I get that - but reading some of the interviews Chu has given and checking out his blog don't give me a better opinion of him either.
  16. Now you see, I've often recommended duct tape for dealing with those little "special snowflakes", so I don't have a problem with what she did to her brother.
  17. Well, mailing letters was before their time...
  18. Maybe a new area for Amazon.com - you can find just about anything else there...
  19. I'm sure you are gorgeous, tribeca, you probably just forgot to shake out your hair in slow motion.
  20. They were selling chocolate bars with that?
  21. There is a NASCAR driver named Aric Almirola - he's Cuban-American, which may be the reason for the spelling of his name.
