As a writer, especially in newsrooms, I regularly listened to debates about commas, colons and semi-colons. Also placement of these inside or outside of parentheses. The Brits do it differently than Americans, I believe. And then there are all of the style guides.

I've seen some incorrect statements about Candiace's parents online. Her mother is an LCSW affiliated with an Atlanta practice. Candiace's father was/is a military man who is either a psychologist or MD. Military folks don't make a lot of money, regardless of job title and rank. Candiace's parents are solid middle-class. Early on Candiace fronted that she is a trust fund baby, but several of us speculated that she was referring to the routine kind of trusts that many families create for long-term planning and security, such as revocable trusts. I think much of Candiace's wedding was comped by production.

Bingo. I'm not shocked at the lack of respect they show for their daughter's well-being because I was raised amongst greedy southern girls and their mamas. Landing a wallet was a very real goal, usually via getting pregnant. Of course, not all southerners are that way, and Taylor and her parents are a vanishing minority. After Taylor threw her self-absorbed, foul-mouthed, misogynistic tantrum, I have zero sympathy. She tried to spin this as "I'm trying to save you" when in fact it was "I want what I want." I am fascinated that the normally sloppy angry jerk that is Shep kept his cool and showed way more class than Taylor. Leva is turning into another Vanderpump clone. Madison and Naomie are already there.

Now the show has engaged my attention. Louis is the intense, broody role, but I enjoyed seeing Lestat lose his cool. Reid has a beautiful face so it's important that he can show some range as well. My family lived in NOLA around this time period, so I'm enjoying fantasizing about their presence on the city's streets. There are gossip items that suggest trouble in the PK/Dorit relationship. There are lots of reasons why this could be true, starting with they seem on edge with each other.

I'm not watching but reading posts here. I think Andy has to switch gears in order to save the show. He knows it, just like he figured out that RHoNY had become unsalvageable trash.

Didn't Juan support Robyn and the children for many years? Didn't Robyn fail to pay her taxes twice? Of course it's fine if she's the breadwinner. But stating it the way she did was meant to brag and to throw shade Juan's way. Most people don't utter these words in polite society, on national TV, limiting discussion to close family members. Or an accountant. Did she really mean the primary breadwinner? Perhaps Juan's salary has been reduced. I question whether he has no income at all, although it's possible. I've thought since RHoP began that Robyn is lazy and entitled.

Loved Gizelle's flowery jumpsuit. Suited her. Low-blow to Juan for Robyn to state that she is the breadwinner. Perhaps she wants us to think she is finally solvent. I thought she and Juan were building a home together? I think Michael will buy a house, put it in an LLC and possibly in a trust (very common), let Ashley live in it rent-free, possibly make her a minority partner in the LLC, and treat it as a long-term investment. I think if they divorce she will walk away with only child support. Did Ashley have face work done? I don't understand Mia's confusing diagnosis story. Cancer is easily confirmed quickly via tests, unless it's something extremely rare. I'm guessing any lumps are from auto-immune disease due to so many cosmetic procedures or are errant lymph nodes, which can go rogue but be harmless. Guess stupid Mia is going the Vicki Gunvalson route. Marylanders, where is Mia's home? There's a Potomac Village near Point of Rocks, MD, and a Potomac Village development in Virginia. I don't think she's "back in Potomac." Laughing at Karen, who starts each season all fluttery about profanity and vulgarity, and by mid-season she's in the gutter with the rest of them. That comment that Karen is "visiting a man who is not Ray" is not surprising. We've heard and seen this before. And the editors' shade: "Karen's rental." Candiace and Chris are that couple who bicker non-stop. They are so over each other that I don't think they even have hate-sex. Since her income exceeds his, he needs to find another sugar mama, STAT.

Something's wrong when there is that much chaos. Did she expand too fast without knowing what she's doing? Or did she get set up by the plaintiffs because they figure she has deep pockets? Begging for a cheap or free attorney is not a good look. Mina, why should anyone work for free because you can't manage your life and profession?

I'm a former reporter who now works with Native Americans, so I'm optimistic for this series. I often hate big-network episodic TV, but this may be better quality than the usual predictable crap. MMIWG represents the fact that there is a disproportionately high percentage of native women/girls who suffer violence, regardless of who the perpetrators are. Many tribal communities are vast rural spaces with insufficient law enforcement presence and response. The remote Alaska villages have only unarmed village public safety officers, at least until the state troopers or FBI can get there after the crime is committed. It has been open season on native women and girls for a long time. Disappointed they aren't using native actors, if that's true. There are plenty of talented native actors who would be thrilled to have the work. (See Reservation Dogs and Dark Winds.) I agree with Sweet-Tea; native speech patterns are distinct and recognizable, even from nation to nation. There are urban Indians who may not have accents, but the native reporter says she was raised in a village. I'm not a Hilary Swank devote but I'll keep watching. I really like the actor planing the managing editor (Jeff Perry). Low-key and no-nonsense.

Agreed. Taylor, go back and read your Bible. Ultimately, you are the one who ignored Shep's character and patterns and stayed with him, quitting your job for an extended luxury vacation, and waited for a proposal from a wallet. Madison is a greasy, orange, stringy-haired, fence-toothed, slurring harridan. Her engagement to a non-practicing Salt Lake City Mormon makes zero sense. Very random. My guess is he's a wallet, and if she pops out a kid, she'll get child support when the inevitable happens. Prosperous Mormons tend to be financially conservative, and I bet she doesn't make it past pre-nup negotiations. Speaking of SLC, I envision Madison trying to get on the cast of the RHoSLC; they have an opening approaching rapidly. ETA: I do NOT like how some of the cast are treating Venita. It's beyond typical reality TV bickering for ratings - Madison and the other mean girl Naomie treat Venita with contempt. Venita, stop serving tokenism and get out of there. Craig is a pissy fishwife. News flash Craig - LOTS of companies have Christmas parties. And we know Bravo put on yours. I predict Craig will have a very big fall from grace once this show is put out of its misery. He is lazy - oh, a "visionary" - and entitled and mean.

I don't know if Whitney's story is true. I thought EMDR is for processing known trauma, not for uncovering repressed memories. It was first used to treat military veterans with PTSD, and my family member was treated with EMDR in the 90s to process a known trauma. It's possible Whitney was abused and already knows this, but the telephone call was fake. I don't think she was crying - her face was covered and her husband seemed oddly standoffish, keeping her in camera range. Beyond that, I think that trotting out abuse stories for dollars and camera time is loathsome. Her blurting the story out - what, three times? - was cringe-worthy. Heather almost reacted but reined it in. I also think four of these women are hurting financially, with Heather being the lone exception, unless the pandemic affected her business and her ex-husband's business. Jen's wailing about jail was curtailed when her mother put a stop to it. Jen came to her senses and cut it off. She has to be careful in front of the cameras. I laughed my ass off at the women caterwauling in the grass. We all have sorrows, but these privileged narcissists constantly complaining about how tough their lives are is tone-deaf. Have some self-awareness. Positive comment: Whitney's short bob is adorable. She looks 10 years younger. Did she stick extensions in later, or was continuity, as usual, shot? Prediction: the abominable Madison from Southern Charm is engaged to a non-practicing Mormom and mentioned SLC. Maybe lobbying to become a member of the SLC cast?

The Decatur, AL deck hand is clearly a reality TV novice, which is refreshing. (ROLL TIDE) Then we have the Kyles of the world who cynically coast through production, knowing they are guaranteed a spot on the next season. This fourth wall aspect is so predictable that it's boring. I'm out.

I binged over several days and enjoyed it. I did FF through the soapier stuff, not to mention the war stuff - my brain has had enough of war and politics for now. The lead has a natural acting style (and face and body) that are a nice counterpoint to much of the manufactured drivel that is produced these days. I'm curious as to what other viewers thought about the royal women's fashion. Was it historically accurate, or did the director and customer designer take liberties? Those huge statement necklaces looked like something the real housewives were wearing five years ago.
