  1. Has anyone checked out a fic called Fefe's Serendipity? I'm confused because on the one hand I know that Fefe is a name used by Felicity haters, on the other it's tagged Oliver/Felicity and the summary doesn't indicate that it will be anti-Felicity. I'm getting the feeling that someone is trolling, only I don't know if it's a Felicity fan trolling haters, or a hater trolling fans.
  2. I have no idea about comics, but I did not get that impression of the show post-island Oliver at all. While he had it, he's used his money to finance vigilanteing and when he did partake in the lifestyle, it was to maintain his cover.
  3. Mahone put a police badge into Bellick's casket? Did he get it at the toy shop? As far as I remember Bellick was never a cop, but a sadistic prison guard. Although there may have been some sob story of him wanting to be a cop and never living that dream. Boo effing hoo. And T-Bag was crying after him? What???
  4. Almost sad about the white stripe on his top. The white hair played perfectly into the theme.
  5. Looks like EBR and CH are at the same 4th of July party. I really hope CH is wearing blue shorts.
  6. Those two civilians show excellent common sense.
  7. Which is exactly how it should be,
  8. That doesn't look good. If it were something like she attended ten and then had to cancel two, it would look different. The lesson I see here is don't attend out of town cons. It's good from HVFF that they'll do automatic refunds on their part, but that doesn't solve the costs of travel and stay for out of towners.
  9. I don't follow her appearances. How many times is it that she's cancelled?
  10. Yup, just what I thought. I'm not Ratajkowski's fan, but I'm completely with her here.
  11. Short answer: no. Longer: that's literally how JH plays the character around everyone. Also, when did she speak of dates?
  12. I think maybe I liked some one shots of her. And there was a (maybe soul mate?) one that I surprisingly liked. I think Oliver and Felicity met when he was engaged to someone else and there was a connection. I wouln't have expected to like it, but there you go. I'm pretty sure that it's never been finished and there are a few chapters at best.
  13. They dealt away with doctors for the most part. Would they care about keeping nurses?
  14. How stunning is this? Now I'll have to check out all of 1-crazy-dreamer's artwork.
  15. Those are my reasons for skipping the fic as well, although it's more about the mob and less about Felicity planning to kill Oliver in the beginning fir me. I don't know what that says about me. But the positive coments do make me wonder. Even though I'm unwilling to start a long WIP right now. There's even a fic that sounds interesting, but it's more than 15 chapters and it doesn't seem to be nearing its end, so I'm waiting to start that one as well.
  16. ? Yes, I only managed to find a copy in Croatian in the library. The only book of Atwood's they have in English is Cat's Cradle. I'm nearing the end, and I have to acknowledge what a good adaptation this has been. It's far from perfect, but they did an excellent job of enriching and rounding out supporting characters, primarily Ofglen, Janine, Serena Joy and the Commander.
  17. Thanks, @tv echo. I forgot that Samantha didn't even know who Oliver's girlfriend was. Supposedly. ?
  18. I started reading the novel and I'm about one third way in. I find that having watched the series actually helps make the book more interesting to me. It could be that it's a (very good) translation - the town library doesn't have the original - but it reads dry and monotone. Something that the voice overs on the show were really not. I'm usually not a fan of voice overs, but Elizabeth Moss did an amazing job of them and I'm finding myself superimposing her voice and inflection to Offred's tale.
  19. I'm sure you're right about this even if it only made Laurel into more of a pushover, proclaiming her undying love three episodes later. The St Laurel part could still have remained without the friendship angle with Laurel very comforting and supportive of Samantha, and then breaking down in front of Lance like she did. Maybe it would have been a smidgeon less ridiculous then. Maybe.
  20. What the show thinks of Samantha isn't all that clear to me. I know what the EPs said, but why make the choice to make her Laurel's friend on her third appearance? That wasn't indicated in the flashback with Moira or the crossover episode, it wasn't some remnant from a flashback from an earlier season or anything. It's a nail in the coffin that had to have been hammered consciously. If she hadn't had a connection to Laurel, she could have been more sympathetic for hooking up with Oliver and getting pregnant as a result. Oh, she didn't know he had a grilfriend, he told her they'd split up, yada yada yada. As it stands, I can't help but think that everyone hated Laurel. Oliver, her sister and her friends. No way do I believe Samantha was the only one now. However, Oliver telling Moira Samantha was a good person got infinitely funnier with that revelation.
  21. Felicity was running a tech company, not a crime sindicate. And Samantha's previous experience with rich, scary women was with Moira, who bought her off with 2 million bucks, she didn't hire someone to kidnap and frighten Samantha. She saved those tactics for her loved ones. ? As for Samantha on the island, that was just weird. Who gives a fuck about the state of Oliver and Felicity's relationship or lack thereof when your child is STILL missing? Those two are just people she hsn't seen in a year.
