  1. Off the top of my head, I haven't even looked at coffee yet, to Ray when he showed up unannounced and uninvited at her place ealy in the morning.
  2. Javi was saved by one extremely short paragraph in my eyes. ? I loved Oliver's internal monologues in this one. And that's a feat because more often than not I grow tired by that no matter how well it starts out.
  3. I don't think Mike is computer illiterate. Wasn't he the one coaching Andrew on smartphone aps when his hook up with Selina's painter got exposed? And I see Leon as a stuck up 'old school' type. Not actually old school, but posing as such.
  4. That's not the scene where she called him mister. You're thinking about her trying to get him out of his office after Roy left him a message. There he was Mr Queen before Oliver. I'm talking about Oliver showing up late for a QC function at the manor with blood on his ear after arrowing and it was a nervous, Who taught you how to shave, mister? I'm talking about plain mister, here, not Mr Queen.
  5. I'm not even mad, I just laughed.
  6. Pretty much all relationships got short changed. Somebody reblogged the S3 scene in which Oliver tells Thea he's the Arrow and that was just so touching and earned. I want more of that.
  7. AU Felicy or canon Felicity? I could give AU Felicity a pass depending on the setting, but not canon Felicity. Then again, I find fic fixation on Felicity calling him 'mister' off putting. She did it once on the show when she was nervous in front of Isabel, it's not something she called him regularly when he forgot to pick up milk.
  8. I think I read the first chapter and then just forgot about the updates. It's pretty good and a rather good use of Susan Williams too. I know, I was shocked as well! I'll have to check out the writer's other stuff.
  9. The only pairing that @way2interested mentioned was Rene and Lance, in that they shared a lot of scenes in the second half of the season once Lance came back from rehab and Rene became his assisstant.
  10. Happy, not rushed and an ending that reflects the whole fic, not something tacked on.
  11. My problem with S2 fics is that in retrospect I don't believe O/F would have worked out at that point. I think Oliver definitely wasn't ready and I have my doubts about Felicity as well sometimes.
  12. I think the tweet with the photo was, but not this one.
  13. ^ Agreed. If he wanted to reply in any way, he could have just posted that pic with his shirt scrunched up, no comment.
  14. I don't know what I would expect JH's singing voice to sound like, but it wouldn't be that. It's very nice.
  15. I didn't really think she fell in love with Nick, but okay.
  16. Speaking of Rita, I was actually surprised they called her by her name. I just expected her to be Martha in the house. She's the only one there, it's not they would have trouble differentiating her from another one.
  17. geneeste wrote a pretty good post-finale one shot. It's got nice quiet, but meaningful Olicity and OTA moments but there are a few things that bother me and make me think that she's possibly not watching the show anymore.
  18. Was there anything on the show that indicated how old (roughly) Cayden James is?
  19. Was this clearly stated one way or another? She wasn't that new, the Waterfords were her second assignment.
  20. I still haven't read the book, but I read a bit about this class, and assumed we saw one in episode 9. The woman who approaches Serena Joy and Naomi as they're walking with baby Charlotte/Angela. She wasn't coded as any of the women we have seen up until that point and she did approach two Wives on the street. I doubt a Handmaid or a Martha would have done that.
  21. I really appreciated Moira escaping after June gave her the push. It was a lovely payback to how things were between them earlier in the series, with Moira being the clear eyed, fighting one. I think she actually gave June strength to go on even while she thought Moira had been killed, so being the one to provide Moira with necessary strength was a lovely way of coming full circle. Also, I have never liked Luke more than I did in his one scene in this episode. The episode had some interesting stuff about the wives as well, with Naomi and Serena Joy standing up against their husbands for once, but then there was also Janine's new mistress, who was so strangely cheerful about the whole thing. That was creepy in a new way. Ofglen 2.0 was great here, and it started with her bickering with June. I took it as them bonding. People have been saying that June couldn't take anymore after Ofglen stood up for Janine, but she was the only one not parroting taught phrases when the handmaids were assembled. She was done by the time she knelt IMO. Alma commenting on how she hated stonings like it was a vegetable she didn't like was some dark humor. I actually thought they would stone Aunt Lydia once she came down in the circle. There's a time for peaceful protest and this isn't it. Yeah, they'd be punished, but they'll be punished now as well, and the witch would have been dead or seriously injured in my scenario. The scenes of June with the letters and Moira being met with kindness being back to back almost did me in. Both were excellent and harrowing.
  22. Doesn't she work at the brothel? I didn't get the impression she was assigned to a specific commander.
  23. It's a way to spread his spying network, so I imagine so. I agree with others who said the episode was extremely dark. I didn't even catch the details of the sex scene until they were discussed here. All I caught was the position from behind. Congratulations on your multiple levels off mind fuckery, Commander! June could have very well stayed down all along like she did after they started approaching No Woman's Land, there was no need for her to don (I assume) Serena Joy's cape. Just another way to stick it to both these women. He really does go above and beyond. Why did that one commander got caught for sleeping with his handmaids? Did they mean outside of the thoughtfully named ceremony? I actually imagine it didn't even matter and they apprehended him because he was starting to usurp their little utopia in some way, but I'm interested in how it's explained away.
