  1. I was excited for this show until I found out Krista Vernoff is the showrunner. That took my enthusiasm down several notches. I'll still check it out, but will expect the quality to be that of late-model Grey's Anatomy.
  2. Yep, according to Miranda, the pre-nup had Charlotte "on a vesting schedule." I believe the original fully vested amount was $500K, and she negotiated with Bunny to $1M. It's unclear what, if any, cash she got along with the apartment. We do know she kept her ring.
  3. Yep! I was like, damn, they're ripping from some OLD headlines! What is the purpose of Albert? I don't understand...he showed up, lived with Chim, now lives with Buck...does he have a job? A reason for being there instead of wherever he came from? I was surprised the bitchy neighbor was willing to date someone unemployed, unless of course he is employed and I've just forgotten his entire storyline (entirely possible).
  4. IIRC he very much wanted the Live With Kelly co-host job that went to Ryan Seacrest. I think he guest-hosted multiple episodes.
  5. Hey, a Mark sighting! I really wish they would give him more to do. The show is all Darlene, all the time and every other character just revolves around her. I'm surprised they didn't call it "Darlene."
  6. I realize I'm replying to this a year later but we just watched this episode. Regarding the above, this storyline was done on Brothers & Sisters (gay couple contemplating a threesome) in an episode that aired in 2009. I really thought this episode of SC was also going in that direction.
  7. Emily actually wore three different outfits in this episode even though it took place over a single workday. We could not figure that one out!
  8. Me too! I just couldn't figure out why Beth was mute.
  9. Considering Marah wasn't at all sad or grief-stricken in the scenes outside the funeral, it was difficult to imagine that it was a family member who had died. She was way more upset when Axel (Axl?) died. Although, I get it. I have a Golden Retriever and that scene was so gut-wrenching I nearly had to FF through it.
  10. If the final scene is all that bothered you, I recommend you continue on. Also, he didn't profess his love for her. He said "I need you." You'd need to watch all 10 episodes to understand the history of these three.
  11. Well, I was under the weather the past two days and already finished the entire season. I haven't read the book(s) and assumed that the 10 episodes would tell the whole story. Apparently they are gunning for a second season since they left everything hanging mid-story. I enjoyed the series but not the way they left things, especially since it hasn't yet been renewed.
  12. This episode really strained credulity, but if it means the showrunners are doing a reset on Randall and all of his neuroses and narcissism, then it's acceptable. If he resigns his job, packs up the family, and moves them to New Orleans, then they will have jumped the shark.
  13. I have to agree. The Marc we have been shown would comment on Kate's weight 10 out of 10 times. It's not about whether it's acceptable, it's about whether it's realistic. It wasn't.
  14. I just found the Kate plotline so utterly implausible. To suddenly need to see Marc after all this time was really bizarre. Granted, I have no experience in an abusive relationship, but it just seemed to strange to suddenly want to go see your abusive ex from 22 years ago. He was horrible to her but I don't know that it would have been considered abuse back then the way it is today. He was cruel to her while she was grieving her dad. I wonder whether it is following the abortion that she starts hanging around outside the old house stuffing her face with Big Macs.
  15. I don't get Madison either. She was all giddy about the one-night stand with Kevin ("at one point, I was upside-down") but now that the pregnancy has led to an engagement with a hot, rich, successful actor, that isn't enough? Yes, they both deserve love. But seriously, to nit-pick at the career that's going to support her and her babies seems...well, maybe she's just hormonal.
  16. Wow, I thought the final challenge was horribly unfair. Of course it was slanted toward the person who got buttercream who was, oh, conveniently, Juliana. I would have liked to see what they each could do without the silly constraints of marzipan or mirror glaze. So disappointing. Lorenzo deserved to win the season in my book. Juliana was lucky to make it to the finale. This seemed tilted in her favor.
  17. Their use of masks has bothered me every episode. They wear them until they get close to someone and then take them off. I assume it has to be so the viewers can understand the dialogue, but it's very distracting. I cringe every time someone takes off a mask to have a conversation. And the party??? Not only was this monumentally stupid to include in the script, but frankly, the party scenes should have been edited out, or at the very least, included a disclaimer, given the current situation in California. NO ONE in LA is having an office party this year. For the shows I've seen that are addressing COVID, I think they should have probably just not attempted it. I cannot even watch Grey's Anatomy as they try to pass off as entertainment disturbing and heartbreaking scenes that are actually playing out in hospitals across America. \rant I used to like the character of Emily, but she's really annoying this season. Unless I missed it, we the audience were not provided an actual explanation of why she and Luke are no longer together. I don't care for Sam and think she and Luke have no chemistry. Milk Eyes is leading her down a strange path if she thinks its appropriate to wear an ugly Christmas sweater to a dressy party (party inappropriateness notwithstanding). So pieces of paper containing jury verdicts are just left lying around?
  18. I stopped watching when Bailey's mom was brought into the hospital. There's nothing entertaining about watching a dramatic rendering of what is still actually taking place in hospitals across the country. Hard pass.
  19. When I said mention him, I meant reference where he is and how they are able to be out and about during a pandemic...who is caring for their baby while they try to get another one?? It seems so odd to me.
  20. I'm guessing she got the part because she's David E. Kelley's sister-in-law.
  21. I totally get not having babies on set, but they don't even mention him, at least not in the past couple of episodes. Toby and Kate are out and about and it's like Baby Jack doesn't exist.
  22. Yes, I'm glad they made Lola pregnant because it was very obvious from the white outfit that SM was pregnant. Very poorly disguised, but they couldn't go with the tropes of showing her from the waist up or having her carry giant handbags everywhere, and still pull off the protest scenes. I found it odd that the characters took their masks off as often as they did. They were still indoors and in several cases, in close proximity to each other. I was thinking at least Emily and Sara live together so it's not that big a deal that they are eating together, but then Emily said she got her own place. I, too, thought Mark looked quite different. His hair was much longer, which I thought might be a nod to the pandemic, but with as much close contact as he was having with others, I'm sure he could have gotten a haircut by now. I did binge Hart of Dixie over the summer, so maybe that's altered my perception of what Wilson Bethel looks like.
  23. The COVID scenes were in April 2020, according to the huge "APRIL 2020" on the screen. I gather the flashbacks were only a few weeks, at most, before the April scenes. "I just cried in your mouth" is verbatim a line Carrie utters in a Season 2 Sex & the City episode.
